I'd hypothesise that the idea that one achieves egoless conceousness by trying to abandon individual conceousness is not only about face but impossible in human form.Freedom from individual attachment is the CONSEQUENCE and not CAUSE of higher conceousness.JMO✌️
Agree....Everyone has an ego , everyone has an individual sense of 'I ' , attachment is experienced by all. The sense of a Suffering Self is experienced by every human being and all attempts to liberate oneself from it is akin to struggling against quicksand. Suffering when seen from the perspective of 'such is the way it is' is simply best considered [ from my perspective ] as a legitimate metabolic by-product of a healthy psychology just as feces and urine are legitimate toxic byproducts of a healthy physical organism. What isn't healthy is the idea that there is something wrong with the presence of such things and a feverish contempt for their presence. For me , the whole process of growth , enlightenment etc. is simply a consequence of taking recourse to an absolute mystery I call " God's Grace ' though a process of Radical acceptance of life in all its mysterious expressions. Surrender to the ineffable presence of the eternal mystery through a means that is wrought within the very fabric of our Being....a way that cannot be taught, but only revealed when the time is right....... Puberty can neither be compelled nor prevented , it just happens when it happens. So , having said all of that, my final bit of Blah, Blah, Blah is that everyone wants to wake up but no-one seems to want to enjoy being asleep anymore!....there is nothing more fulfilling than a good snooze, so worth enjoying snooze time when it's present.
