exactly THIS!
There are many mean comments here regarding Alistair "coming back to fight a croc".
Looks like filming crew depicted it completely worng. Alistair literally said : "I pedaled into the inland, as my feet touched the ground I looked up , up 2 - 3 yards away there was this crocodile." Meaning that he still was in the water, but his feet could finally reach the ground underwater and why he was able to stand and spot a croc about 2.5 meters away(thats terrifying how close), which makes perfect sense why he did what he did in this situation. But Narrator fucked it up by claming he reached the shore. He didn't and never said so. Otherwise he wouldnt dive back in the water. It's absurd. It definetly was a missunderstading from production part. upvote this people.
I also thought I saw the shore line in the video but I might have imagined that and this wasn't the real footage ofcourse
I mean, with that context I can understand in an extremely tense and stressful situation (where you have little time to think), He decided fight, instead of flight. But what he should've done is back away slowly without disturbing the water. Croc may have left him alone, maybe not, but he the croc would've been less likely to attack had he just backed away slowly.
But yeah, unless you've been face to face with an apex predator like that... who knows how you'd react. Would your mind even be capable of reasonable choices in that situation, or would your instincts completely override your decision making abilities? Easy to judge this man in the comfort of your own home.
honestly I didn't get that he went back into the water, he was swimming to shore and the croc came at him.
Regardless going towards the crock like he was going to scare it wasn't smart, but either way he was probably getting attacked so it didn't matter too much it was all he could think of. Honestly I probably would have done the same thing 😆.
He said 10 yards not 2.5
Hats off to the Actors and Actresses who make these real stories……so real! Thank you!

Ive been to Africa with british army. The experiences are awesome
Just remember: If you get attacked by a croc stick your arm in its mouth like Allister!
Apparently sticking body parts in crocodilles mouths can be a life saver!
@@blake7587 I never knew that. Learned something new
@@blake7587 or just remember! Try to use common sense and don’t go into areas infested with crocodiles, hippos, lions and hyenas.
Plenty of beautiful rivers you can canoe without risking ending up getting eaten alive
Why in the hell would they take such a tiny boat in a river full of CROCODILES and HIPPOS? Those things get too close to boats at least 8 times that size!
Exactly such stupidity
I burn my arm pretty bad from my own radiator on my truck .when someone ask what happened to me. I tell them that it's a stupidity burn.thats called the boat ride of stupititys.
Yes why didn't they get a bigger boat ⛵ that doesn't tip over those Crocs hippos are dangerous to overconfident really and you would even picnic in bush my god 🙏 I'll be scared after just wayched animals being ripped apart and you want to picnic and sail my good gosh.
@@solmeans8690 I did the same thing. Painful.
Well, considering that they were found by two people in tiny canoes (wtf?), their choice of boat didn't seem like too bad of a choice initially.
Wow! Saved by a Buffalo, that's just divine protection. Am glad they were all fine.
Bro that Buffalo was an angel sent from God to watch over him, that man is so blessed to be alive
I've cancelled my croc wrestling holiday in Africa after watching this. Turns out they are really strong and have sharp pointy teeth...who knew?
...u nail it bruh
Nah; Crocs have all gone vegan...you’ll be good 🤩
Crocs are vegan tho so you could still go :)))
Wild Mountain Gwendy the Indian ones are
lol
That dude literally said at 14:21 that he thought the best thing to do was swim for the croc. Like what?!? What are you saying?!?
Drugs aren't good for him
That made no sense whatsoever. He should have just got out of the water.
I'm struggling to understand the same 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cocaine is a hell of a drug 🤣🤣😂
Doesn't get anymore stupid than that. Then he gets back to shore after needlessly getting attacked by a croc then he just goes and sits on a tree all day. I hate him. That said, his friends knew he was attacked by a croc and didn't even go try to help him.
Lesson: don't challenge nature in its territory
All I can say is that dude must have been temporarily insane when he decided the best course of action was to wrestle a crocodile in-the-WATER
