DON'T JUDGE A BULL BY IT'S BUGLE!! | ZACH'S 2022 LE UTAH ELK HUNT

Zach finally drew his Limited Entry elk tag after 19 years of applying here in Utah! The Sahn crew spent lots of time scouting and had found several mature bulls prior to the hunt. Zach had his heart set on one bull in particular that we dubbed "Kicker" because of an extra point on his right sword. Zach and his dad glassed "Kicker" up the night before opening day which only fueled Zach's desire to harvest him.
We glassed the area where "Kicker" lived for two straight days and only saw a handful of elk and no mature bulls. After two days of glassing with no luck we decided to get aggressive and hike into the area we last saw "Kicker". As luck would have it we were able to have a close encounter with "Kicker" around 40ish yards for close to 10 minutes. It was an experience we will never forget! This video is called "Don't Judge a Bull by its Bugle!" because when "Kicker" came in to our cow calls he sounded like a rag horn bull. His bugle was not very good at all and Zach and I kept saying we wish that rag horn bull would shut up! We learned a lot on this hunt and can't wait for the next one!
