- Toast and Marmalade for Tea was a 1970 hit single by Australian band Tin Tin.
The song was written my Maurice Gibb, and he also played the original bass line on the record.
Short and sweet, this one. So I made a bit of a production out of the video.
Enjoy :)
Bass: Fender 50s re-issue Precision
Strings: DR Legend Flatwounds
Beautiful!! Love it
Thanks very much
Lovely song. Would have been 13 when this came out, but don't recall it at all. Fab bass lines, Sarah.
I was 9 and I do vaguely remember it, although I have heard it many times over the years. It wasn't a massive hit, but it did get onto the charts at the time.
Glad you enjoyed it though, thanks.
Beautiful, thank you for posting. A lovely song from when my youth. Love your posts.

Thanks. Most people seem to be unaware of it, but its always been a favourite of mine.
I've never heard this, but it is a beautiful song. As always, another great cover. Many thanks Sarah. Lots of love from Canada!
I'm surprised that so few people seem to know this song; it is one from my childhood.
Canada? Oh cool.... hi from England :)
Never heard this one before either, but a goody. With a great added bass by your good self.
Thanks. It seems that I've found a song that nobody knows or remembers! Very 'Bee Gees-y' though.
I've had a dig around to find out more about this song. The bass on the record was played by Maurice Gibb, wh also produced it. It was a hit in a few countries, but not in the UK. How on earth did you come across it?
@@daveharris7224 I know. I've already said all that in the text below the video ;)
I just remember hearing it on the radio as a kid, and it turns up in the afternoon 'oldies' spot on BBC Radio 2 pretty often too.
Sorry, I didn't read that & I rarely listen to Radio 2 in the afternoon. I am however, glad to have heard it with your rendition.
