I like how you can switch off of her and still keep her infusion lets you have more flexible rotations. Like you can use E then swirl then do support stuffs then E again or still have time on her infusion. I love my HuTao teams and I'm hoping i can get both Arrle and Clorinde later.
It allows great multi wave consolidation for VV vape. No other Pyro poccess a way to conserve their buff for next wave rotation as switching ends the infusion. In this case she kinds of ends up as the new premier Pyro speedrunning dps at every cons.

Because energy cost isn't what they set. They set cool down. And the energy cost is just a factor of that cool down. For every 2.5s, rounded down, +10 energy cost. Diluc has 40 because his cool down is 12s. Related to that cool down is another factor, just how powerful the ability is. So if Arl's cool down on that were reduced, the burst would be weakened. And that isn't ideal either, especially in a situation where the character is in a team with a longer rotation than said cool down. Case in point, the talk about Chiori's burst being "nerfed"... cool down (and consequently energy cost) and damage got reduced, but people only talk about the damage reduction. The only exception to this cool down to energy cost rule is Raiden, a character with energy cost related mechanics, and who provides the team with energy... and for her, her cost is 10 higher than the recharge says it should be. For the rest, though, the reason why her ER needs are high is not because of her burst cost. After all, it is just 60 energy for a 20s+ rotation. So what causes it? Her field time, coupled with how Benny generates particles. Benny can be a great battery, but he needs to be able to go on field relatively frequently to be so. But if Arl wants to stay on field, Benny can't do that. So, basically, sometimes, Benny has drawbacks.
Fun tidbit: Based on a 4% current bond of life drain, you’d get 26 attacks before you’re out of BoL. With a full NA string taking approx 3.5 seconds, you’d technically have 100% up time as you’d have enough BoL for 4 sets of NA strings (14 seconds) plus two extra attacks, and with her skill being on a 15s cd you could permanently stay on Arle and never lose infusion. (You’d also need the ER to have her burst up every time w/out particle generation elsewhere) Is it optimal? Nope. But it is sort of funny. With that said, if the 4% goes through I reckon theirs a decent chance that her C1 gets changed, as you’d already be able to achieve 100% up time even at C0, so it would become nothing more then a really round a bout way of being a damage buff(also a little more healing but you’re already getting a minimum 60% heal anyway, if you need more then that you probably ate some unnecessary attacks to the face)
Having perma infusión or buff feels amazing. Thats why I enjoy playing C1 Wriothesley the most of all character. He just keeps going on and on and never stops having buff. If Arle is the same, Im súper sold on her.

Kinda sad they make a character with downsides who then ends up still being a downgrade to a 1.X character that does the same job but better with less restrictions. Pyro characters are maybe worse designed than Geo.
This maybe copium but i think they are just holding back on both Pyro and Cryo characters until Natlan and Snez respectively cuz everyone knows Pyro has the greatest potential dps wise and Melt is arguably the strongest reaction. as for Geo and Physical tho :(

Alhaitham doesn't care about interruption resistance because most of his damage comes from his e waves, so you only need to land 1 hit every 1.6 seconds basically. Arleccino is a hypercarry and all her damage is normal attacks. So he's almost the worst example you could come up with.
I’m still a little worried that she can still easily be one shot in Bennett’s circle by something like the Tulpa or the consecrated beasts. Do you think the 20 elemental RES is enough? I’d love to see some calcs to see how much damage she can take in a typical rotation before she dies
I mean tulpa can one shot pretty much anything in bennetts circle. However that particular boss has very slow and relatively easy to read attacks. She will definitely need more care if not using a shield though, but incorporating dashes into your NA chain should help

But yeah, I guess there aren’t many characters who can face tank in Bennett’s circle against damage that reacts with pyro without someone like XQ to add some DR. @NotAName1 I think besides dehya, hoyo has generally had an idea with how characters are meant to pan out. Now I'm not saying for sure, nor is it particularly fair to balance a character based on future releases. However atk buff pyro archon who shields? What I'm saying is something useful to her may come in the future hence them not making her tankier. As it stands though, she is going to be squishy without a shielder. Minimum I'd like is interruption res on her C1. As if she gets stunned it's really over

She is big Hu Tao imo in practice. It will be more obvious in terms of comfort and speedrun. Sheet dps doesn't tell the whole story. Neuv doesn't sheet as high as Hu Tao, Alhaitham and Lyney, yet.
sheet dps are for ST, and it means Hu tao, Alhaitham and lyney deal more singel target damage than Neuvillette. and in practice it is the same as sheet. My Hu tao is still clearing bosses faster than my Neuvillette and both of them are C1 R1 @@dendenmushi9714

I hate circle impact so I'll just replace Bennett with Zhongli or whatever shielder while still using Kazuha(may replace with Yunjin) and Yelan. she might lose some dps when compare to BiS dps team but as long as she can 3star 12th abyss, I'd preferred the less controlling stress team comp :)
3:41 this is bad because we knew that some string has different multiplier that can be vaporised or melt, resulting to non vaporised higher multiplier if we cancel at random time (yoimiya), different from al haitham or any unit like hu tao who 90% vaporised even played with careless mode
@@TheGenshinScientist The main issue I have with N3D is the fact that N4 is so strong on her since it can proc her BoL buff twice in a very short time, making her entire combo take less time. Going to N6 is not worth over stopping at N4D or N5D in my opinion.

I really love it when hoyo releases onfield DPS characters (and teams) like Arlecchino that can skill issue players if they don't perform their optimal combo/rotation. Like Al-Haitham maintaining his 3 mirrors, C0 Hutao CA-dash/jump cancels, Yoimiya Aim-mode cancels, Wanderer without a shielder, Lyney stacking with lvl2 charge shots, Eula stacking her Ult, Melt-Diluc or Quad-melt C6 Chongyun. Hope Clorinde, Sandrone and many more onfield DPS characters in the future will be designed like that to make up for how easy enemies in this game can be.
I've got her guarantee, and will hopefully also get her weapon. I've still got a few dozen world quests, and many areas that I have not explored in the last 4 patches if I need the extra tries.

All the (current) 5 star Fatui want Bennett/XL/Kazuha XD I'd much rather stick with International over Mono-Pyro. Never know when a Pyro abyss mage is going to show up.
Arle is starting to see more less powerful each day though. I think leaks raised expectations too high, Doesn't need benny, stronger than C1 Hu Tao at C0 can do more or equal damage to Neuvillete, her jacket is taken off when her burst is used. Then looking at the beta and she's just new gameplay for the same damage with more steps, maybe, to Hu Tao the greatest Pyro dps.
I think she'll still be amazing with C2 Furina, just get someone else in Bennett's circle for a couple seconds and full stacks lol. Imagine Arlecchino, Bennett, Furina, Yelan (or Xingqiu if she needs interruption resistance).

I think her infusion being at 100% uptime is peak for overworld IMO

Alhaitham doesn't care about interruption resistance because most of his damage comes from his e waves, so you only need to land 1 hit every 1.6 seconds basically. Arleccino is a hypercarry and all her damage is normal attacks. So he's almost the worst example you could come up with.

I’m still a little worried that she can still easily be one shot in Bennett’s circle by something like the Tulpa or the consecrated beasts. Do you think the 20 elemental RES is enough? I’d love to see some calcs to see how much damage she can take in a typical rotation before she dies
I mean tulpa can one shot pretty much anything in bennetts circle. However that particular boss has very slow and relatively easy to read attacks. She will definitely need more care if not using a shield though, but incorporating dashes into your NA chain should help

But yeah, I guess there aren’t many characters who can face tank in Bennett’s circle against damage that reacts with pyro without someone like XQ to add some DR. @NotAName1 I think besides dehya, hoyo has generally had an idea with how characters are meant to pan out. Now I'm not saying for sure, nor is it particularly fair to balance a character based on future releases. However atk buff pyro archon who shields? What I'm saying is something useful to her may come in the future hence them not making her tankier.
As it stands though, she is going to be squishy without a shielder. Minimum I'd like is interruption res on her C1. As if she gets stunned it's really over

sheet dps are for ST, and it means Hu tao, Alhaitham and lyney deal more singel target damage than Neuvillette. and in practice it is the same as sheet. My Hu tao is still clearing bosses faster than my Neuvillette and both of them are C1 R1 @@dendenmushi9714

3:41 this is bad because we knew that some string has different multiplier that can be vaporised or melt, resulting to non vaporised higher multiplier if we cancel at random time (yoimiya), different from al haitham or any unit like hu tao who 90% vaporised even played with careless mode

I really love it when hoyo releases onfield DPS characters (and teams) like Arlecchino that can skill issue players if they don't perform their optimal combo/rotation.
Like Al-Haitham maintaining his 3 mirrors, C0 Hutao CA-dash/jump cancels, Yoimiya Aim-mode cancels, Wanderer without a shielder, Lyney stacking with lvl2 charge shots, Eula stacking her Ult, Melt-Diluc or Quad-melt C6 Chongyun. Hope Clorinde, Sandrone and many more onfield DPS characters in the future will be designed like that to make up for how easy enemies in this game can be.
I've got her guarantee, and will hopefully also get her weapon. I've still got a few dozen world quests, and many areas that I have not explored in the last 4 patches if I need the extra tries.

In your comparison with alhaithem, you also have to take into account the self pyro application app that bennett's burst can provide which which gives the enemies something to react to. Yes you can dash but what if you get overloaded?

Arle is starting to see more less powerful each day though. I think leaks raised expectations too high, Doesn't need benny, stronger than C1 Hu Tao at C0 can do more or equal damage to Neuvillete, her jacket is taken off when her burst is used. Then looking at the beta and she's just new gameplay for the same damage with more steps, maybe, to Hu Tao the greatest Pyro dps.
I think she'll still be amazing with C2 Furina, just get someone else in Bennett's circle for a couple seconds and full stacks lol. Imagine Arlecchino, Bennett, Furina, Yelan (or Xingqiu if she needs interruption resistance).
I really hope they decrease her burst cost, other than that I think she is perfect now
