🎉 Hey friends! Thanks for watching. Leave me a comment if you've read or want to read this book. How do you feel about the idea that time is finite and we need to take responsibility for how we spend it?
Love this discussion of Four Thousand Weeks! I am currently reading Burkeman’s Meditations for Mortals and learning, as you say, “hundreds of lessons”. Four Thousand Weeks is moving toward the top of my TBR! I really identified with having so many interests and TBRs that it becomes paralyzing. Thanks for the reminder to narrow my focus so I can truly start to see some headway in a few areas. Thanks for your great content!
I’m reading it now on KU and this book is everything I needed at this time in my life. I have lost several people recently, and I want to live life on purpose. There’s just so much I want to do and making use of my time left on this earth, or creating a life worthy of my time is of value to me. Thank you for sharing! I shared the book and podcast with my fb friends. 😊
Hi Eddie! greetings from Bogotá, Colombia. I love your channel, I really do. Every video brings something to learn. You are very good at conveying ideas and concepts. I'm an English learner utterly in love with the language, so it is a delight to listen to a native speaker with such a command of the language as you do.Your videos have motivated me to pursue my true passion in life. Congratatulations on your great work. Best youtubel channel on the subject matter!
As an acoustic guitar player, I let out an audible gasp when you said you put the guitar down permanently. Lol. Here's something to consider. One doesn't have to strive for the next level with a particular hobby. Sticking with guitar, for example, you mentioned playing scales for an hour. While playing acoustic guitar is a higher priority in my life than it sounds like for you, I've reached a technical level I'm content with and don't care for further technical competence. I just play rhythm and sing. I never practice scales, lead guitar or many other facets one could excel in with guitar. If you can sing ok, perhaps singing and accompanying yourself is all your wife really desires from your guitar hobby. Perhaps you'd find that's all you desire, as well, so you could continue that hobby without the self-pressure of feeling you must get to the next level of guitar competence. Perhaps you can find a level of playing you're content with so you only need 15 minutes a day with it.
Perhaps my problem is that I can’t sing.😂 I do have an all or nothing attitude and could learn from you to enjoy a hobby without trying to level up. My problem is that I really want to level up on certain things and that takes time, focus, and energy. I needed this comment. Thanks.

Wow! Thank you for the kind words and good luck with the language. I’m learning to speak French, so I understand your love of words. Merci!
