Very good to see you checked the chain tension at different places.......there are always stretches on some portions. A garage set my chain too tight & it ripped the tab washer which lead to the sprocket moving......and ground a chunk of silencer off. Luck not to have been highsided along the motorway.....
I had trouble with my 22 scrambler running rough. Returned to dealer 3 times.Diagnostic showed gear indicator probe faulty, which was replaced and ecu reset.problem Returned after a few hours. Turned out previous owner had changed front sprocket from 15 to 14 and this had caused some issues with ecu after run ING for several hrs later. So be very careful before undertaking such a mod which until recently was a common mod on all makes, but now seems to be difficult, probably coz of some EU regulations to prevent t deviation from standard
Awesome video. What are the riding characteristics when doing this? I’m doing some research, but i would love for my scram to feel less jittery when driving through SF stop and go traffic. Would this help? I’m new to this stuff! Thanks 🙌🏼
timstechblog Hi, it makes the bike much smoother. I personally missed the aggressive throttle so I changed it back to the stock. For me it took some of the scrambler character away.
Spotty Dog thanks for the reply! Good to know it smooths er out. I’ll keep considering it! Seems like it would be a good fit for the type of riding I do, so the input helps. Although... that scrambler character is amazing too 🤔
I am considering doing this to my scrambler as I do 90% of my riding on the freeway. 6k rpm at 80 is a little too high for my liking. What do you think the rpm difference would be with the new sprocket?
Michael Rodriguez It will lower the RPM. It took all the snappiness out the throttle response. I preferred the original ratio it’s more fun out the corners.
@@SpottyDogBikes dang! Super fast response, I really appreciate it. Yeah I see where you are coming from but I really want mpg since it's going to be my commute bike. I was even considering doing the 44t rear swap as well. But that would be too much?
Loved this how to and the music--- such a vibe!
