I agree it was kind of chaotic, but I liked the main game and how they give away the ending at the beginning when they say "Detective Matthews has but 90 minutes to save himself." The hair trap also tells Rigg to walk away which was another clue.
@@matthewbaumann630 yes you are right. I watched Saw 6 last night and same thing happened. I still have 7,8 and 9 to endure before going to movies to watch X ;)
I know that every Saw film isn't great, but I love the whole franchise and the way they all interconnect. It's just a fun series to binge on a lazy day.
Heh, I like the idea of the Scream series taking cues from this movie. Like having the superfluous middle-aged police officer character that barely registers throughout the movie suddenly turn out to be the mastermind at the end, even though it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever... thank goodness Scream would never do that, eh?
I think this one was really good. The flashbacks was a good touch and it was cool how this movie tied into the ending of 3 and how both the traps in 3 and 4 happened around the same time. The traps was good and the ending of Hoffman being the new jigsaw was cool.
I’d say Saw 1-3 are definitely my favorites of this franchise. I don’t hate the other films at all. They’re alright, but they don’t hold a candle to the first three in my opinion. I hope Saw X can hold that candle.
I rank 4 as GOOD but below the first three. Loved Jigsaw's autopsy starting and ending the movie, loved Jigaw's flashback scenes showing a more human side to him, loved his first trap with Cecil (the knife chair) that scene was fucking awesome. It always annoys me how Matthews went out like that, did you know he originally died in Saw 3? they filmed a scene of Amanda stabbing him to death in the fight they had, but cut it out in case they wanted him again in the future. The original script for Saw 4 actually had Matthews as the main character, and was completely different. The original script is on the internet, i read it. Donnie Whalberg turned it down, because he wanted to die in Saw 3, then 4 got rewritten, then he changed his mind at the last minute and agreed to film for 2 days, which resulted in his Saw 4 character arc By the way, the next film (Saw 5) is kinda filler in terms of the main game, but is also neccessary for all the flashback sequences that show you Hoffman and Kramer's relationship, then Saw 6 is fucking awesome and easily up there with the first two movies imo
@WeWatchedAMovie I'm a big Saw fan 🤣. There was also a really cool deleted scene from Saw 3 (this scene is available on RUclips here: ruclips.net/video/_WMuvFWFkEA/видео.htmlsi=qe3QVoXbqEhHV2Px ) where you see Adam leaving his apartment, and Amanda happens to run in to him as she's entering the building (to hide in his apartment and wait to kidnap him) and they have a nice little convo and she can tell he's a nice guy. This explains why she feels guilty enough to go back to the bathroom and mercy kill him instead of letting him starve to death, they shouldn't have deleted it
I feel like this same argument can be applied to all of them except the first two. Personally, I think 4 is better than 5, 7, 8, and 9 combined. It tied up all of the loose ends that 3 didn't, it provided some new insight into John's origin, and it's the only time in the series that two movies ran parallel to each other which is as unique as it gets. If I had one major gripe about 4, it's that the opening trap seemed kind of pointless to include without explaining how Art starting working for Jigsaw. At least in the first movie, they explained that the Janitor was essentially being held hostage by a toxin.
This is my least favorite of the franchise, despite the fact that its the one that sets us off on the new trajectory that I really like. All of the traps were so frustrating because literally all Rigg had to do was LISTEN and kinda do nothing lol. I will say that the reveal of the new villian is one of my favorites because I really enjoyed this character and to see him turn the way he did, he also became one of my favorite villains to watch.
All riggs had to do was wait. Eric yelled don't come through the door. But he inly did it once before shooting at riggs and the door to stop him from opening it. I would of kept on screaming abd yelling. I wouldnt if did it once, but than again riggs was on a mission to save him buy got both of them killed. Smh well all 3 of them.
Yeah bro, this is where it starts to go off the fucking Rails… BUT hey his brother curbed stomped a Puerto Rican. What do you expect?! 😂 love ya brother.
Love you so much mike🧡going through alot right now and in really tough living situation with mom and stepdad. Went on date with guy i really like but he hasnt texted me much so i just been overthinking and sad. Thank you for comforting me :))
This is where the franchise went downhill for me personally. I love the first three movies and its one of my favorite horror trilogies. The traps became too unbelievable from this point beyond. I just didn't care for Hoffman being the main character. I really hope Saw X gets me back into the franchise because I haven't been a fan of the past movies since Saw 3.
I give this one a 3 out of 10 this is where saw want down hill from this movie but I hope saw x will bring the franchise back on track . I’m kind of hoping Amanda is still alive and her and officer Hoffman have a big face off and at the end Amanda will finish John Kramer’s work
Jigsaw was a narcissistic hypocritical A hole. I hope saw X keeps him the villain and doesnt do the "he's misunderstood" or has "trauma" excuse. I really dont like this making the villain "sympathetic" trope.
OY! Why does NO ONE get that Art Blank did NOT Rip his mouth Open. A timer was set to his mouth that when he killed the bald guy- his mouth would open! Why do no reviewers eactors fucking get this?
I thought the reason as to why most of John's motivation goes out of the window is because John Kramer isn't much at the helm, barely even a master mind due to his state at that point. The reason why the plot is so messed up and why Jigsaw becomes more of a hypocrite is because of his protégés who are missing the entire point as to why Jigsaw does all of this. They have their own weird interpretations as the " successor" to Jigsaw. John only influenced them and helped them out with their vision of what they thought was the "right" thing to do as the new Jigsaw. They're all flawed in that sense.
Watch 3 last week and 4 this week. My family and I both agree 3 was better than 4 and 4 audio suck and complicated some parts. *apist should had started in the trap.
Problem with saw 4 is its just predictable and I didn't like how they made the swat guy who was just meant to be a supporting character in 2 just to be the main character in this one. I did think that hair trap was probably the best trap in the entire movie. Overall didn't hate it,didn't love it. Just kinda forgettable
I couldn't actually sit down and watch that trap. I don't look away from saw traps or horror movies in general. One of the worst traps in the whole series for me.
Mike: talking about winnie the pooh.. when talking about a death scene featuring rape.. xD it's cause the guy was pooh shaped isn't it? that made you think of winnie the pooh bwhahaha but yeah i get what you meant

It was really cheesy though to have only 1 second left before Rigg entered the room. So close and that's just stupid cliche
@@MiikaKontio Every Saw movie does that unfortunately. Saw 6 did the exact same thing with the timer and the traps in Saw X do it.

Fun fact. The detective in this movie plays “Luke” in Gilmore girls. And don’t judge me. It’s a good show!

I have a feeling Mike will like Saw 6. That one is special for many. 6 ranks easily in the Top 3 for a few I seen online.
Glad to hear it! Im looking forward to getting there
Gotta luv the Theme
"Hello Zepp"... iconic theme music
It's fuckin great
Can't beat the 1st saw movie
The second one is as good but after that went downhill
I only remember the first two, I definitely don’t remember that beginning. 😂
Shit was wild! Just jigsaw janglies hanging out for everyone to see.
I know it's not that well liked in the fandom but i love this movie (mostly for the backstory they gave John )
