12:18 gave me anxiety, she kept sniffing every other cloth and not the right one, then when she finally hit it she had the quickest 180 once it registered that she found it. lmao so cute.

what breed is it
Must get harder as there are so many dog scents building up around the cliths.
Dog at 14:16 looks scared. He/she shy'd away from a praise, head low and didnt seem that excited about bringing the cloth back. What method did this guy use to train his dog
Yes... other dogs wagged their tail, but he stuck it between his legs :(
Maybe she/he is just skittish by nature. If it was abused it most likely wouldnt even wanna be touched with the cloth.
@@roosakallio1303 Border Collies love to work. This border doesnt seem excited at all when it should be, especially when it knows it has a job. The dog isnt showing any skittish behavior. It's simply showing fear and is in a submissive state. A proper border owner wouldn't put a skittish border through that. It's clearly not enjoying the job. Sure, it was touched by the cloth, maybe because it knows what will happen if it doesnt obey. A lot of 'dog trainers' use good methods, and some dont. This dog isnt skittish.
Border collies are extremely work oriented. They would rather work than receive praise a lot of the time. Not skittish. Just a border collie
@@TayahGenesis Again, none of the others acted like that. Dogs that love to work thrive on praise. If you watch closely, the dog will shy away from the owners hand. If it loved to work so much, why did it have its tail lowered and head down when retrieving the paper towel?
Why don't police and airports use border collies if they're so good at finding scents? And then why are there no spaniels in this - which is what the police use for these tasks??
ya ya Thomas maybe because border collies need a lot of physical exercise and can be hypo, Idk.

Typically, in history of the United States, the police force and airport security preferred dogs that looked intimidating. This may not be the protocol in years to come, but historically it was part of the idea in choosing certain breeds. And also, the bomb-sniffing dogs that you don't see, the ones that are smelling checked baggage behind the scenes, those tend to be any breed from labs to beagles to malinois. Many state governments even use mixed breeds found from shelters for their agriculture-sniffing dogs now.
Temperament. Any dog can be trained to be drug sniffing dog.

something is wrong. Why mostly dogs missing that cloth only. Ther search in round shape. Not all dogs but most of them did.

The trainers must not run the scent cloth into the dog's noses. THE SCENT STAYED AT THE DOGS' NOSTRAL BUT CANNOT DETECT THE TARGET CLOTH!!!😂😂😂
I wanna know if any of the dogs have gone to the judge whose scent is on the cloth, instead of going to pick up the cloth.

He's Australian shep/border collie cross. And trust me he's ALL coat. You need to see this dog in the flesh to now what I mean. He's like a yeti.

The Don't. 90 percent of these dogs are just border collies. Border collies come in merles and reds as well

perfectionism of tournament. Love your dog natural, give them entertained task, of course. But no perfectionism at/on that kind of way...getting only love if you are perfect on exercise? This couldn't be right...because all of us hate to hear this sentence maybe from our parents, grandparents, teachers or trainers, when we were young (a child/teenager)...so no animal or human should be only a perfect thing in any kind of thinking....open your mind-seit nicht so klein denkent (engstirnig)
Placebo1886 I’m very sure that the dogs still got affection. Just because the video didn’t show it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
It's no worse than putting a dog through the agility course. Most of the dogs were bred for just this thing. It's not awful when they find missing people. Or when they find bombs. The dogs Enjoy this.
dec2963-female agility is way less torture then this at least with agility they run have fun enjoy themselves here there forced to find a damn cloth....
Dogs/wolves instinctually LOVE to do three things, track prey, chase prey, and tear the guts out of prey. In pet doggy terms, sniff things, chase balls, and play tug.
nah these dogs are trained- this is their job and they enjoy this. there was a study out that showed mental stimulation/enrichment was better than physical stimulation/exercise...its similar in this....while it may seem odd to have dogs focus and behave in such a manner, this is only for a competition...people train their dogs to jump, to herd, for agility, for scent work, protection, pulling, etc...it can be beneficial for both...and im sure these people absolutely love their dog...because, as someone who trains, you don't get this kind of response with dogs that are not with caring trainers
