Pacific Rim Suite - Ver 2 | Pacific Rim (Original Soundtrack) by Ramin Djawadi

The theme for Pacific Rim is one of the best parts of the movie, utilizing Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine to it's fullest extent. A theme that's associated with the main theme is something Djawadi notes as the Adventure Theme on the recording sessions. It's a reflective and somber melody played on guitar, which usually gets bolstered up by percussion and strings. It's included in the suite because it includes the main theme at different intervals of the melody, making it heavily tied to the main motif. The main theme is iconic and easily recognizable, a six note motif driven on hard, cutting guitars and synths, with a full orchestra backing it up and adding more weight and power to it. It's the perfect mix of hype, badass, hard-hitting electronic/guitar and rousing, grand, energetic orchestral music, and perfectly conveys the grit, drive, and unrelenting determination that the film conveys alongside its cast.

2:02 god I had forgotten how beautiful this score is, a lot of it gets boiled down to dumb WOW COOL ROCK FOR THE ROBOT by some people describing it but Djawadi and Morello did so much more than that for the score, it has heart and soul not just loud noises
