Every time I hear Jazmine Sullivan, I am blown away. Her vocal agility is otherworldly. Even her range is underrated. Every time she sings she just outdoes herself.

This is an amazing rendition. One thing I know about doing renditions is that you worry and hope and pray that you do the song justice; that you do something the original singer would be proud of. Jazmine should rest assured that she did the song justice, and Ms Nina would be proud! Amazing

I’m still in Baltimore. I hate it here but I hope things will get better if we all pitch in for a common good. But to all the crime here and bad stuff going on, it’s just going to be a very uphill battle. Even though I hate it here, Baltimore always holds a place in my heart.

first heard this song on an Etihad flight from South Africa to Abu Dhabi and I fell in love with it, had it on repeat most of that flight, I love it! I love it! lol its even better than the original nina simone version, Jazmine's voice oh lawd! who is this woman she blesses my soul.
oh Gosh, i also heard it for the for the first time on an SAA flight from South Africa to Frankfurt, Germany. i was immediately intrigued by Jazmine's execution and as a result i replayed it for hours on the flight. I still listen to it on replay every other day. It gives me such a nostalgic feeling, and makes me just wanna hop on a plane and travel somewhere far
