Right and low? Weird, I thought everything in California was always high and left. Anyway great video as always guys, appreciate the tests you do for science.
Considering that I can't get all the tomato paste out of a can without a spoon, spatula, water, and a bandsaw it was amazing to watch how it cleaned all the paste off the can walls. I wonder if it had something to do with how thick the paste is compared to something like soup. Now I'm curious what would happen if you used a tube of grease as a target.
Great way to protect against trespassers. Don't even need to load them. Just scatter a bunch on the ground around your property. Trespasser steps on them he'll leave immediately and never come back.
The deformation of the jell block on the high speed camera was amazing! Not what I expected to see given the relatively tame wound channel left inside.... Of course, always a pleasure to witness another Bieber launch too. :-) Thanks as always, guys. - Ed on the Ridge
Thank you for finally shooting a sealed can the right way. I have been waiting for somebody to put one through a can long ways, because that is so much better example of hydrostatic shock. You should never shoot a can that isn't laying down ever again. End-to-end is the way to go. Excellent video. Thank you again. Love this channel.
Your videos never disappoint Jeff, we appreciate all the work you put in. And also a big thumbs up to everyone who donates freedom seeds to make this channel happen!
I have to say, I love the review of the rounds, but listening to the conversations you all have that make the final cut are always a good time to listen to. Not just OG and you but everyone you have had on the channel. Thanks for what you do. Stay safe out there.
Always nice to see an old design brought back to life. Thanks for showcasing all these excellent projects and shouting out the little guys like OG’s channel… Whom I have never heard of or seen before, and I’ve been watching your videos for 30 years.
The shooting , targets and banter make this channel one my absolute favorites. Everybody should head over to OG’s and watch , he’s a ton a fun! Good job giving our freedom loving Canadian brothers and sisters a little publicity.
Nice use of the magenta squares on the lead plate so we wouldn't confuse it with the ruby colored rounds. Thanks for being so thoughtful of us old folks.
The tomato paste cans were great, I'm curious if the slightly larger chicken noodle soup cans would work as well. It's possible that the longer gas seal absorbed 100fps worth of energy on the way out of the barrel. Regardless, it doesn't look like it affected its effectiveness either way, they worked great.
It was amazing what all I shot out'a shotgun when I was a kid. Greg is 1 great shooter Jeff I love u're comments an wit. Another great video, 10/10 Jeff.
Another outstanding video! From the wet magazines to the tomato paste cans and then the gel block, table legs gave out was a bonus! Thank you for the smiles and giggles!
Those Slugs looked to be very accurate,.. once the shootist get's his 'Dot' on target. In my opinion, I think those cans of sauce provided the most spectacular effect(s).
I’d love to see the same design, but hard cast lead instead, I imagine those would be even more insane in performance than these were, well in, on target performance anyways
I was thinking along the same line, I don't have the equipment but tungsten carbide or strait tungsten would be amazing, if you want to just sick with lead alloys add some Antimony, a touch of Selenium and if you're set up to mess with arsinec to harden the metal giving a cutting edge to it
@@bigjay875 yeah, if had the gear I could do tungsten carbides. Hmm, aresenice and lead, that’s a lot of hassle and dangerous shot that’ll kill you fast, or young if you mess up doing it. I’d stick with the less toxic versions of hard cast lead, though not as good, also way less chance of dying horribly from heavy metal poisoning.
Awesome hit on the tomato paste cans! Especially considering the holdover required. That the paste pretty much just evaporated was cool to see too. By all means lets see more of those. I think Jeff, you need to buy your wife a new yard sale table though. Are those slugs available for sale or were they made just for this video?
Man, if you had a gel block and highspeed sponsor to have new blocks every shoot and the kind of cam those slowmo dudes have, you would take over RUclips. You deserve a spot on Rogan even. 👍👍
I've used a 20 guage 870 (fully rifled barrel) with Fiocci Brenneke slugs as my brush gun for deer hunting since the late 80's. I love it. I've taken deer as far as 80 yards and wouldn't hesitate at 100 yards. Very accurate, lower recoil and more than enough energy to drop a whitetail.
Some of these projectiles that you fire I'd love to fire out of my 24 gauge blackpowder smooth bore fowler that I built. I build so many custom muzzleloaders that I had to find time to build myself a smooth bore just for hunting elk and grouse here in the coast range of Oregon. If Leon could do that I would be impressed and I'd obviously pay him for them. It would be even better if I could by a mold from him if I got to try out how the sluggs worked out. Thanx guys and everyone DONATE BLOOD AND PLASMA AND PLATELETS!!!! DO IT FOR DANNY IF YOU NEED A REASON AT ALL!!!!!
I imagine you got more velocity out of the short ones because the longer version used some of its energy crushing the wad. The back of the wad is moving faster than the slug when first fired, until it's compressed tightly to the slug.
Thanks for another awesome slug-test! Low & Right as new sign of the time for California? Freedom for Canada & worldwide! Luv ya Fledermäuse-folks! Keep shooting & greetings from Germany.
Reporting in from Alberta, Canada! Thank you for your mid-video support! I’ve been watching your channel since your mercury filled water balloon video. It’s amazing to see “random” RUclips channels talking about what’s going on here. My Pastor was the first to be arrested during these covinsanity days in Edmonton. Jeff showing the close up on the table while OG is yapping away was perfect. I never minded that OG repeted what you said at the table but I really want the table close up so today was a ok mix of table and OG for me.
