Thank you, it's nice to see somebody actually take the damn thing apart. Wish there was a way to put this video in a category for people looking to rebuild the front beams
Sorry I don’t. Make sure that nothing is bent on your beam, it may have come apart easily, but with a slight bend be difficult to get together. I purchased a complete remanufactured one with disc brake spindles from rock auto for less than $300. Thanks for watching and good luck
@@scrapdaddysgarage5027 I ended up zip tying one end with the skinny outer ones extended a few inches and sliding the springs in working the fat middle one in last. Kind of in a V formation. Once all of them slid in, I aligned them up and installed the control arms. Just to update you if you were interested. Also, I have the same exact bug! Same color, same year, sunroof, etc. We painted it more true gold, with pearl white doors though. Anyway, thought you'd get a kick out of it knowing.

You have any videos showing the installation of the springs back into the front beam? Having a hard time with mine.

@@jacobspeer3491 glad you could get it done. This car got repainted once in the 80s it’s definitely not the right shade. Have fun with your bug!
