I remember Lee was supposed to shut us down (just like Verlander in 2012). I still remember an ESPN analyst saying "they'll have to face Lee twice in a long series so if it goes 7, the Rangers just need to win 2 more games because the 2 Lee pitches are automatic wins." I'll never forget it.
As a Giants fan, I generally think the "Nobody believed in us and thought we had any chance" stuff is overplayed from the teams of this era. That said, it was weird that the Rangers were heavily favored in this series. With the Phillies, it was understandable. They were the 2 time NL champs and the WS champs once removed. But the Giants had a better record than the Rangers and even if Lee's 2 starts were both Texas wins, the Giants had a pretty substantial overall starting pitching advantage.
That 6 run explosion in the 5th inning was when I knew the Giants were gonna win the World Series. Knocking off Cliff Lee who was invisible in the postseason in his career was a huge statement. Juan Uribe home run was the exclamation point that Giants had too much momentum to be denied for their 1st World Series title in SF.
The coolest thing was even though Bengie Molina lost with the Rangers, he still recieved a world series ring for being with the Giants to start the year
Peopole don't realize how great the Giants Pitching staff and rotation they had. From 2010 to 2014 they are full of experience Pitching. Tim Lincecum, BumG, Peavy, Zito,Cain, and reliver. Petit,Lopez,Romo,Cilla,Strickland, and our closer Wilson and more other Pitching squad. They all look down on our Pitching squad and go for the big Name, but doesn't matter to the Giants. All whole Giants squad are fear no one. They were behind so many games but they fought so hard and this team deserves respect 😊😊😊

i remember i cant watch it on tv because i had to go to warriors season opener against the houston, but i bring my radio with me so i listen to it, Giant is nervous at first inning, but get away with only a run score. Lucky they turn it on later to win the first game. The home run after lee come out entire warriors fan go crazy
The Giants' 2010 run was when I started to watch baseball. Fun times.
made the next 3 years so much better

I can’t lie... when Timmy had that brain fart play I thought that we were gonna lose the game and the whole series was doomed lol
Timmy may have been umm shall we say pre-occupied and maybe his head was in the clouds...

Wow that first inning really could've gotten out of hand for Timmy
As someone who was at this game , when Uribe hit that HR I think that was the loudest ATT park had ever been at that point !
that was a nice tribute to Molina, forgot about that!
He won a ring that World Series even though he was on the losing team. Bet that hasn't happened many times.
Edvard Ferand i know right? Win-win situation for him lol

Damn Freddie Sanchez was the MVP of this game

It was hard to watch Vlad Guerrero trying to play RF.
He was funny out there, like a clown. Designated hitters don't play baseball, they play clownball.

In the NL, you can't hide your bad defenders. Texas had Cruz in LF too.

I remember getting a cat in 2010 and naming him Freddy after this amazing second baseman :-0
Thanks for uploading.
on this postseason journey one thing is certain. Pat Burrell Kd a lot lol
I bet 10 bucks at 24-1 odds uribe would be the first to homer in this game. I won and went crazy. Been addicted to gambling ever since

i swear everytime joe buck says that the pitcher has been “unhittable” they end up getting shitted on lol
Burrell was lost at the plate this entire series.

Cliff Lee never really recovered from this game.
Mitch Kramer out there controlling it!
