      Dude honestly it was my annoying comments that I was hinting towards Tech dying actually did and I can't believe you guys didn't pay attention. To my comment. It's the comment text's going to die because it's been hinting towards that every time when I've seen this episode that Tech actually got character developed in. It's very obvious but you guys just ignore them and start hating on characters like hunter record and omega when she actually doesn't mess up she. Hasn't messed up any of the missions? Counter to Echo (who btw, I don't think was giving up, I think he was taking a moment to mourn and let the others recover) who lost his entire squad and several others along the way. They simply were not mentally or emotionally prepared for it.

Even after Tech fell, I expected him to shoot that grappler gun at something and swing to safety. And I'm still kind of 60% expecting that to be near the beginning of season 3. I'm not at all sure what he would latch onto in the middle of traversing a giant valley like that but you never know. Or maybe he'll end up needing one of those mods like Fennec Shand. I 100% agree. In the heat of the moment on the railway it seemed likely, but when Hemlock showed up with the goggles, I felt like it was almost obvious that he's still alive. Tech is smart enough to try and do something like fake his death in order to lose the heat of the Empire. How they would bring him back is questionable because he would have to get off world alive. The other possibility is Hemlock took tech and is going to control him. Me personally, even though Tech is my favorite out of the batch, I didn't feel like Tech's sacrifice in the episode was as impactful as it could've been. However, it might be because we were left on a cliffhanger for the season finale. As of writing this I don't think there is a confirm on a season 3, but I think it's obvious that we will be getting one.

    I think the Cid part was out of desperation. They had no choice cause the only one who knew how to care for Omega has last with Cid, that being AZI-3.
    Also, it makes sense that AZI-3 is still with Cid cause they broke connection on a whim so they didn't have the foresight to bring him along on the mission they ended getting betrayed by Cid on.
    When you're loved one is in danger you tend not to think strait so rather than taking a chance on a planet that just went through a natural disaster and is probably a bit strained for recourses, you'd head to a for sure medical droid that knows Omega to help them recover.

      @asn101 Год назад +47

      I agree. I’ll add two points.
      They just made literally the worst non-sith human in the galaxy mad. Being tracked back to anywhere near Pabu would be bad…the assumption being the empire would spend whatever resources required to find them. Visiting every system in their flight path. Going immediately to Pabu was probably a no-go.
      Two, and this is a bit more real, when your kid is hurt or sick, you aren’t doing a whole lot of analytical thinking. And they don’t have a ton of good options except one that definitely has a med droid. So I give that more of a pass. Tech was the thinker under fire anyway.

    I will note that the main reason their mission failed was because Saw Guerra and his Partisans happened to be on planet with their own mission and they basically fucked everything up. If they had not been there it would have been easy to sneak in plant the tracker and get out before the Empire noticed them. I'll also note it was Saw's explosives that shorted out the rail line thus causing Tech to have to take the VERY risky move to restart the line manually, in addition to Tarkin deciding to be an asshole as usual and decide that danger close friendly fire was a good idea.
    There also is one thing you didn't mention in the video they still don't know where Tantis is, let alone know when an opportunity to track Hemlock after that one would emerge again this may have been their only shot as far as they know to actually track the guy and without tracking him there is no way to find Tantis, now we as the fans know it is on Wayland but the Bad Batch does not and hell if they adhere to EU lore Wayland may not even be in their navigation options as Wayland got removed from Republic records by a clerical error some centuries before the Clone Wars in the EU, which if that is also the case its even HARDER to find Mount Tantis.
    Essentially Hunter's decision to give up may just have been from both trauma and the fact that as far as they know the odds of them getting another chance at tracking Hemlock to Tantis are about as good as their odds of single-handly storming the Imperial Palace and killing Palpatine by themselves VERY low. Anyway the large issue of all this is that the Empire won this battle and not due to Imperial competance but because Saw showed up and threw a hydrospanner into the plan, once I saw him there I knew immediately the plan was ruined and not going to survive contact with the enemy in fact they'd have been better off stealing an Imperial shuttle like Saw and his Partisans did then taking the train, fly to the Marauder and transfer over and get out instead taking the train.
    Murphey's Law was in full effect with this mission everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong though it was not the Bad Batch's fault for it, if Saw and his Partisans had NOT been there they would have successfully planted the tracker and gotten out.

    - an official, galaxy wide clone rebellion (empire will publically downplay it as insurgents)

    Evidence:
    1. We see his goggles in decent condition, meaning he wasn’t crushed
    2. Hunter survived a crazy fall that was technically more dangerous cause of the trees and rocks
    3. Tech is the brains, he would have figured out the impossible scenario
    4. There’s a video on RUclips of a skier surviving a 150 feet fall and survived cause of snow. Tech’s fall would have been similar to that height and there is in fact snow beneath him so surviving is 100% possible.

    I don't entirely agree with one of the points in this video. That point being Echo giving up along with the others. I never thought he did, he never voiced that, and we only see him sitting in the shuttle distraught for a few seconds before the empire shows up and he's thrown back into the fray. I think Echo's only reason to go back to Pabu would have been to make sure his brothers got there in one piece before boarding his own ship and rejoining Rex, Riyo, and the others (because he did leave his ship on Pabu too so he has to go back there no matter what). Another thing I'd like to add too is unlike the others who have never really had a team member die, Echo has gone through way more trauma than they have, so as sad as he would be about Tech dying, I don't see that being enough to deter him, if anything I think it would fuel him to continue his efforts.

    Firstly, love the content of the channel as always. Secondly, I've a few observations from the finale & predictions of what we might see in the future of "The Bad Batch".
    ===
    Observation:
    My opinion or hypothesis on the matter of the squad travelling to Sid's is because of distance vs severity of injuries. Sure, the new homestead the squad is thinking of settling down and remaining in is safe, and they most likely have all amenities needed for recovery. Sid's business/planet was probably closer in regards to hyperspace jumps required or length-of-time in hyperspace.
    Just so happens Sid was tired of the bad batch and called the empire when they arrived.
    ====
    Predictions/Theories:
    Moving into Season 3 I'm sure in the prediction that Hunter & Wrecker will most likely go all in with Rex & Echo with those efforts. What else have they got until they find a way to get back to Omega & Crosshair at Hemlocks lab? --- I also predict at least a small time-jump because of the earlier prediction, or possibly some moving back and forwards in timelines (like with "Tales of the Jedi" portraying Ahsoka & Dooku respectively).
    I'm also curious what types of experimentation we'll be seeing on the clones. A theory I have is that Hemlock is one of the minds behing the "purge troopers" we had seen in Jedi: Fallen Order. Those troopers' helmets strongly resemble Crosshair's, and there's at least 2-3 varients of Purge Trooper that I think fit the "mutations/motifications" of the Bad Batch clones. And if I recall correctly, the Purge Troopers are canonically clones (be they original Fett clones or later productions is another question).

If he took her to Pabu, he didn't know what kind of care was there. He needed AZI. It makes sense knowing that. It wasn't contrived. It was emotional. Those slow episodes showed Hunter transitioning from Hunter the rational soldier to Hunter the over protective father.

With season 3 being the last one it’s just even worse and better. As Phee was saying goodbye to Tech that was when the train finally hit me. I knew it was coming and still prayed it would magically stop. As a fellow neurodivergent it hurt seeing a relatable character die. It also was very irritating that they went to Sid. I understand why they dint go back to Pabu because they dint know how to tell Phee about Tech but there are still thousands of other planets. I desperately want the end of season 3 to have Crosshair, Omega, back with the squad on Pabu and it would be great if Emerie also became a main character. Either way I’m still traumatized and anxiously excited for season 3. Bittersweet that its the last season.

    Disagree with most of the criticisms. Hunter was already against rescuing Crosshair because of the risk. Tech was the deciding vote to go after Crosshair. Now that Tech's dead, Hunter has more than enough reason to abandon the mission in order to protect Omega and give her a normal life. Everyone else would agree with him, considering the circumstances.
    Cid is a potential plot hole, but space Hawaii definitely wasn't an option. It's remote, and Hunter wouldn't want to risk Omega's life by waiting too long to get medical help--medical help that would definitely be more rudimentary. Dropping onto a random Empire -controlled planet and trying to search for a doctor who would help without getting nabbed by a bounty hunter would also be time-consuming and have its own risks. In the stress and desperation of the moment, I buy them going to Cid's despite the risk. Bad call? Yeah. But believable.

    There is a thing that gave me a slight suspicion about Tech fate: when Hemlock gives Tech's googles to Omega he said that is the only thing that he was able to salvage, which is weird considering that someone recovered them and propably did not fall far from Tech body. Could be just a far cry with a lot of copium in it, but BB writing seems to put things with a foreshadowing logic and the fact that a New Zealand VA dubbed one of the character is an evidence.

Hunter told Omega that him and Wrecker had discussed it whilst she was out, and he mentioned that Tech had made a sacrifice and they shouldn't waste it. It didn’t help that it came completely out of nowhere, with little to no buildup or foreshadowing. Throwing in sudden plot twists like this at the last minute tends to throw the narrative flow off-course and add complications where they aren’t needed.

    On the note of Echo, Hunter, and Wrecker completely giving up, you also gotta remember that Tech’s loss was still fresh on their minds. When you lose someone, especially in the context of fighting for something you believe in, suddenly the goal you were fighting for doesn’t matter to you anymore. Not right after the fact, at least. Yes, new resolve can bloom afterwards, but the loss is still devastating and apathy tends to take control until the fog clears.
    As for Echo being a bit cold about it, I kinda see it as a testament to what he’s been through already. The Bad Batch have never lost one of their one before. But Echo? Echo’s lost a lot of brothers and been through unspeakable trauma. It makes sense to me at least that he’d be a little numb to it all, even if he and Tech were close. Plus… he’s Echo. He’s always been pretty unemotional.

    As a film student, i’ve been let in on a rule of screenwriting that i will now pass on to you,
    Unless you EXPLICITLY see the aftermath of a supposed death, (ie: a body) there is no guarantee that the character actually died

    What an ending, yet it does make us want to see how this will work out in Season 3. Yet we all know there will be no clone Revolt, but what WILL happen to those who are left!

    I was thinking that Ord Mantell was closer than Pabu. And with their injuries and omega they bit the bullet instead of gambling on the time.

    I think they’re going to pull a switch on us. Everyone was expecting crosshair to be the first dark trooper and that the BB would have to face him, but I believe they are going to make tech the first dark trooper and have crosshair and the rest of BB have to face a rebuilt dark trooper tech.

    I think the going to Cid on Ord Mantel might have been quicker than going to Pabu. Sure, both Pabu and Eriadu are both in the Outer Rim, but that just means they could be on exact opposite ends of the galaxy. Think Los Angeles and Miami. They’re both big, American coastal cities with lots of beaches and tourists, but they’re on complete opposite ends of the country. Going to St. Louis or Chicago is a lot quicker than crossing the entire country.
    As for Hunter, Omega, and Wrecker wanting to “give up” on the rescue mission, that feels pretty in-character. They’ve made it clear that they want nothing to do with fighting the Empire. That’s the whole reason Echo left. The only reason they went on that mission was bc it was their only opportunity to save Crosshair. Now, not only did they completely blow their one chance to track down Crosshair, they lost Tech in what amounted to a pointless death since they didn’t achieve anything on their trip Eriadu. It’s no surprise that after that, they just want out. Besides, it’s not Echo said he was giving up. He’s still got that entire Clone Rebellion going on.

    I wonder if they will introduce Jango's sister in season 3. Perhaps that's what might be revealed.

    If Echo survives being absolutely blown up then I won't consider Tech dead until it is really confirmed
