I’m growing a lot of figs right now and I have been noticing some of the same issues you’re having. I thought these mites were more of a my problem. Good to see I need to watch the house plants as well. Thanks

    Great video.
I also use sulphur in Ontario. It controls powdery mildew very well.

How do you clean the white dust off the plant after treatment?

you can use a paper towel with water, or I like to use water with a bit of white vinegar in a spray bottle!

Is sulfur good for cactus when applied to the soil

I haven’t personally used it with cacti, but for the purpose of mite and pest prevention I think it would work just fine, just keep in mind sulphur makes the soil’s pH lower (more acidic) so if a specific species can only handle certain pH levels it could affect that, but I think you’d have to add a lot in order to lower it to a point where the plant wouldn’t be able to adapt to it!
