Appreciate you taking the time to review this board. Lots of research goes into boards/checkers/dice and a video like this makes it so much easier to visualize.
Both I and Barney Maunder-Taylor ( the online Maths wiz) have rolled these "holey" dice a couple of thousand times, I got 12% fewer 1's than other numbers, he got 15% fewer! Other numbers were pretty even. So always get precision dice, unless you want a sneaky edge in money-game!! But you're not that type!
Website says 1/2" dice for 16" board and 5/8" dice for 19" board. Are you sure they sent you 5/8s? Also, does the board feel small? I'm just getting into backgammon and buying my first board. I want the 19" but the colors I want only comes in 13" and 16".
I am guessing they fixed their error on their site and maybe the 1/2" dice are standard now.. As you can see in the video the 5/8" dice are a nice size for the board so if you do go with the 16", I would recommend finding 5/8". Whatever they originally gave me were tiny.. I think I measured them at 7/16". For at home play and if you have a nice size table to play on, I would recommend probably going with the 19". The 16" isn't bad, but bigger is better if you aren't traveling around with it and have the space.

Beautiful board, I'm getting the 19" and will probably order 19mm precision dice.
Beautiful board

Beautiful 👌
How heavy is the board?
I haven't weighed it, but it has more heft than boards of similar size

How has it held up after a few month now?
Considering I have no one to play with, real well!
@@jaysreviews fair enough lol
