    Thank you for calling this a Quebec wheel. In Canada Quebec is a beautifully distinct province . It’s almost incorrect that these wheels got named CPWs when they more rightly should have been QPWs

    i’m restoring a double-drive wheel (not a tilt tension, but the same age) and now know i’m missing a babbit! There are tiny grooves in the wood where i now know it must have been. Bobbin Boy fixed some chips and cracks in the bobbin and pulley (whorl), now i need to track down a babbit (am i spelling that correctly?). Thanks so much - great videos!

      Yes. You are. Some are successful in using strips of well oiled leather or bent copper that’s oiled. I have replaced them before by pouring in melted lead or solder but it is tricky. The CPW group on ravelry.com has suggestions
