      Not without implementating it in BTCRecover (or a similar tool) and using the 9 words and the address from the wallet to recover the missing three.

    Thank you for your content. Very helpful and interesting. Question: With BTC Recover, if you had say only 2 or three words of the seed phrase for a 12 words seed phrase, how feasible / possible would it be to use BTC Recover to get the rest of the correct seed phrase?
    Obviously the fewer seed words available to you, then harder it would be to work out the rest but is this technically within the scope of BTC Recover? Also with e.g. a standard Mac Book Air how much CPU run time would be required? (Presumable many years!)

    • @CryptoGuide

For example if you know that the seeds you are looking for are part of a smaller subset than the 2048 word, which could of course speed up the recovery vastly. • @CryptoGuide
      @CryptoGuide  2 года назад

      If BTCRecover says the seed is correct then it's correct...
      My suggestion is that you write down the seed, found by BTCRecover, then restore your wallet from that. There are a number of BIP39 words that are visually similar to each other and you likely have either one word wrong, or are just making a mistake entering it.

      The seed is common for all cryptos, so you just select the wallet type for which you have an address.
      Recoveries like this are normally routine and mostly successful. (It's normally a small typo)

    • @CryptoGuide
      @CryptoGuide  3 года назад

      Basically tokenlists will only pick one item from each row, so you could essentially put the same word six time in a row with a positional anchor for each of the 6 positions. (eg: ^1^battle ^2^battle ^3^battle)

    • @asdfg2466

      @@CryptoGuide Thanks, but that does not limit it to 6 words from each list right? Unless I want to limit the word to be tested on only 6 fixed positions. Lets say I have 2 lists with 4 words and I want to test all combinations of 4 words with 2 from each list, call them one-one to one-four and two-one to two-four, how would I go ahead to set that up? Could you give me a small example and I can make the longer list myself?

      ^3^ two-two ^4^ two-two
      ^3^ two-three ^4^ two-three
      ^3^ two-four ^4^ two-four
      it will split them and only try the combinations with 2 from each list, but it will only try combinations where first list is in position 1 or 2 and last list is position 3 or 4. I want it to try independent of the position, like the seed "two-four two-three one-two one-one" as well. Or am I misunderstanding you?
