I love how they casually stroll though the garden and inspect the plants, like they are 1 ton house cats. I'd be out there trying to pet them or feed them an apple.
@lakeseminole Yes, they would enter our yard. They are accustomed to neighborhood noise such as dogs barking, children playing, cars, sprinklers, etc. They will sleep in the yard with us outside. It is a very unusual place. Moose can be dangerous, especially when they are new born. In about two weeks mother becomes less protective because she has work to do preparing for winter. They will come around the dogs but are not as likely to sleep, though, too noisy :).
Look at how big they've gotten!! Best Wishes to them all.. and to You, Acticsooner. Thank You for your film clips from the UK. They are so quietly delightful. I get a great Lift from them. Love to think how Thrilled you must be to see them in your garden. xx
My friend sent me the vid of the twin baby moose under the sprinkler and I found this vid while I was looking to thankyou for the other vid, haha I am just tickled you posted them growing up. Thankyou.
Hi Cadrolls, we have moose come around regularly. During the winter we had an orphaned calf around for days at a time for hours at a time. Our 1 year old pup would bark for hours at it. I think the calf liked his company. We had a young mother (2yo)with a calf come stand in the sprinkler one day. I think that one could have been one of the babies. The mother was very calm and relaxed here. After 45 mins in the sprinkler they took a 3 hour rest. Thanks for your questions and posts! arcticlilly
It's my understanding mum will guard and protect her babies heavily. They say moose are quite dangerous with young ones. I have a question, if you were sitting outside having lunch and they saw you, would they go away and not enter your yard?
@StickPlay1 Hi StickPlay1, Thanks for your comments! This video was taken last year, but this year we had a very young mother (probably 2 years old) with a new calf. The mother sat in the sprinkler for about 30-45 minutes and when she was done her baby had a go at it. They eventually layed down next to the sprinkler and took a good long rest. I really think the young mom could have been one of the babies. She was calm and very comfortable in our yard. Take care!
@cadrolls1 EVERYDAY I thank The Lord for the blessings of living in such an awesome place even when it is bitter cold or rains all summer (like this one & the year tbm was caught on video). As for the ultimate country home...we actually live in the city! We are in the foothils of the Chugach mountains but moose live all around Anchorage. We saw twin baby moose Fri @ 5p trying to cross from a grocery store parking lot to the mall parking lot. It obviously caused quite a stir.Take care, arcticlilly
@Mssugarbabe01 We live in Anchorage, AK. These moose were here before we were. This house is almost 30 years old and moose have been coming around here since the homes were built. Thank you for your kind comment. Arcticlilly
@petrodvoretz I haven't seen it this summer/fall but I'm guessing he made it through the winter because I saw it around in late spring. We saw a couple of mother's with their calves but we haven't seen lone rangers. Strangely, in six years we have never seen a male around our neighborhood. We think they head up to the mountains in the summer. Maybe the little one was a male. Take care. arcticlilly
I've watched your videos repeatedly for years. My question is, how can you sit outside and enjoy your yard or let the kids out without complete fear they could arrive at any time? Is there just a certain season or time of day? Big mama would do anything to protect her "children". And do you have to go to home depot every weekend to replace your plants! lol.
THIS IS A BLESSING. YOU GUYS ARE WONDERFUL FOR CARING FOR THEM LIKE THIS, AND LUCKY TO SEE SOMETHING THIS PRECIOUS-- LET ALONE IN YOUR BACK YARD
I hope it was the right time for pruning. What a privilege to be able to see them so closely. Thank you again, and again for sharing.

I love seeing your moose twins grow up. Thank -you so much for this follow-up video.
Thanks so much for posting a "sequel".
I think they're enjoying the salad bar as much as they enjoyed the sprinkler.
I loved your other video of the twins in the sprinkler... it was soo sweet and my how they've grown.... thanks for sharing!

Beautiful creatures. If you plant flowers will they consider them a snack?
Thank you. Twin baby moose in a sprinkler is an all time fave. You must be from Oklahoma. I'm a Sooner from the Tulsa area.
They have the softest fuzz on there nose you have ever seen. These are small compared to the ones in Russia. You got to love them.
Awww they're growing up so fast *tear*
Omg they getting big.😍
Thanks for updating us on the babies. Too bad you didn't add the same music, to kind of emphasize the connection. But great great great video.
they certainly look healthy!
P.S. Where you live looks beautiful!
