Very cool stuff! You are a very amusing commentator! XD Awesome videos! I look forward to more! I try to make reenacting videos myself actually. I really like the setting of this!
Pozdrawiam.
Also don't forget that the coat of arms of a man would be known to his friends as much as ones user icon would be recognised today. They're appointed, not chosen. For example, I hold pedigree papers and applied for my own coat of arms. I can request it include set elements, but what I get depends on what isn't taken and what the College of Arms, or Heralds' College considers appropriate for my lineage. For example, I requested something cool like a lion riding a tyrannosaurus wielding a chainsaw. But all I got was a big black cockrel. Ok, the latter is a lie. But you get my point.
I messaged their facebook page on Tuesday. They told me they did a similar series in Polish called "Co za historia" and did about 40 episodes before the company they did it for cut down the budget so much that they couldn't continue. They were apparently planning to meet some potential investors this week for a show similar to either this or co za historia.
+Brandon Dudley (Poleth1984) You're absolutely right. My Gambeson fits to my form and my mail is twice as big as me. I have enough room to get a larger gambeson if I wanted to lol
Brandon Dudley mail should be very close and well fitting to the body instead of being so loose, such a thick gambeson isn't necessary. It could be little thinner and mail should be tighter.
hm, i have a few criteria to youre Armour: - the Helmet and the "Tunic" don't fit to each other. The Helmet looks like the ones in the Crusadors-Bible, but in the time it mite have been wered it wasn't modern to have your'e Coat of Armes on the Tunic. - the Chainmaile is to fluffi in my view, it's just extra weight and if you look at the Skulptures and Miniatures of the time the Chainmaile is really close to the boddy. - the Gambeson is to thick to be under a Chainmail, becouse the same reasons as above. - its not true that the helmet ornamental was loose, on some Helmets that have survived there are afaik Holes to tie it on. -the coat underneath youre Armour hase no Gabs at the Front and Back. Ittle be hard to ride with it... these wehre just a view points that wehre the moste visible.
Armpits... and mittens... but, I have to say, the kit looks rather neat despite thos nitpicks. Could see a rather poor soldier wearing that after downing a wealthier knight. A much larger knight, that is... lol The aketon looks a bit too stiff, by the way. How comes? What's that made of? Sort of defeats one of the main draws of this style of armour; being worn without assistance from a squire
Quite cool, but it misses the *major* change which happened to the knightly wardrobe in the late XIIIth cent. Namely the introduction of coates of plate. Nonetheless a nice vid :)
The enthusiasm on this makes it all better, honestly
"I cannot imagine fighting on foot with this." Can, confirm that it's a pain in the ass, but it's better than getting a spear to the face.
Or an arrow to the knee HURRRRR. Kill me now. .___.
The knight's worst enemy appears to have been gravity.
Replica armor is typically heavy, but before it was probably lighter or the knights were more stronger. Since they train everyday
War is tough, Taking a shit in armor is tougher lol
+Matt E You have to be brave to wear a full suit of armor, you don't want to shit yourself when the enemy comes.
Compared to other videos of this type this is actually entertaining too
This armour looks pretty neat I love the tunic it looks so good

I have been looking for the quote "War is nothing compared to taking a shit in full chain mail" for a while now, and i finally found the video.
This is Thrand! Just found channel great stuff :D
this guys better than you no offense
@@fivenationwolves4210
Absolut. Mycket bättre.
Love your series and I enjoy how you guys made this comical but yet very informative.

Very nice. It's good to see others who have the whole kit, integrated mtitens, full-hoses etc. :)
THANK GOD, another channel talking about medieval stuf, and its not cancerous......like some "historical television chanels ;) ;)"
My 13th century suit of armour came today
Your worst enemy is your butted mail.
Hoping for more episodes soon! Great videos you guys make!
how they dressed scottish highlands in S.XIII? sorry ,need historical info. Scots wore the tunic "saya" with great kilt in 13th??or kilt is later??
"War is nothing compared to taking a shit in full chainmail"

I think they're still trying to put on the plate armor.
It's been almost three months since the last one, what happened?
Oh, we got stuck with a number of other projects. But now we have the next episode coming soon. I'm glad you like it. :-)
+Journeys Through Time when tho?
+Journeys Through Time still no video
+Journeys Through Time by soon I hope not half life 3 soon

May someone say, what composition is playing for video? Very like that harp. Thanks!
Nice video, where does one get awesome heraldic surcoats like that?
i think my favorite part of knights has to be the helmet designs because some of them make you look downright stupid
DEVS VVLT intensifies
We mvst free the Holy Land!
It's already 2016, when are you going to make the new video?
13th century knights also started wearing a coat of plates as well.
butted mail (which he is wearing) is at least twice as heavy as riveted mail
riveted mail weights more than butted
1 Surcoat.
2 knee plate, elbow plates, proper enclosed mail gloves, half greaves, coat of plates, secrete helmet. Thats what you are missing.
where was the gambeson made from? which company?
Hey, what is the kneelong, full sleeve tunic like garment called? The one you have on under the Gambeson.
+LeSpAuLjOhAn That's the tunic. What he is calling a tunic is the surcoat.
a knight is lost without his Baldrick!!!
I think you should make some more videos on this channel. "Co za historia" channel is awesome , but I like this one for the humour :D
Your squire needs to reread his job description, he's behaving more like a jester!
Great vid, really enjoyable. By the way, who is the background music by ?
i think your chain mail needs to be slightly larger. it shouldnt be that difficult to put on.

What sword are you using in this?
Where did ya go?
great video thanks!
Ah! Those armpits!
Good video, though. :D
Coat of plates?
where's the next video

Not only that, but wasn't the "sugarloaf" great helm more common by the 13th century?
@@SoI_Badguy more towards the end of the 13th century if memory serves me correctly, but flat top and sugar loaf greathelms coexisted at that time.
Is this solaire?
Could you please do videos on colonial armies.
I just realized the intro animation says "Journeys Throguh Time"
great helm*

Lepszy odcinek niż ten polski. Nie mówię, że ten polski był zły bo był bardzo fajny ale ten jakoś więcej opisał :D
The gambeson is too much thick. Gambesons of that kind were worn by themselves, not under hauberks.
did you just call a sircoat a tunic
Surcoat, tunic, both terms are synonymous for the cloth covering the torso armor.
***** That too. Thank you.
Why is his maile in such bad shape?
Armpits... and mittens... but, I have to say, the kit looks rather neat despite thos nitpicks. Could see a rather poor soldier wearing that after downing a wealthier knight. A much larger knight, that is... lol

WTHeck?! Only 3 eps, from a year ago??!!What happened???!!! Did y'all's crowd-funding fall through?!?!
Butted mail ... Why would you do that. Its the worst looking part of Armor :/
Its not tunic, its surcoat I believe :d
Still missing the coat of plates or at least a cuir bouilli vest over the mail, protecting the vital parts.
Quite cool, but it misses the *major* change which happened to the knightly wardrobe in the late XIIIth cent. Namely the introduction of coates of plate.
Nonetheless a nice vid :)
И в те времена это стоило как танк леопард...
alright i guess
They obviously gave up on the channel
Mooore
Ahhh. classic opening at the armpit. Not historically accurate

Cross eyed much?
Dressing up but not much insight. Not sure about the coif either.
A little less conversation please!😘
That squire is useless,sack him

Not real mail... but never the less a good video...
