My westie passed July 15, 2020. He was 16! I miss him still. It warms my heart to see the pups! Best dogs ever!
I'm very sorry to hear that. GOD Bless you. Our pets aren't really pets their parts of the family. Ours just turn 1 in October and he (Casper) is the eye of our world besides our kids!😋
Life doesn't end here it's just over on this side. One day I know you'll see him again and he'll be waiting for you.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. It's horrible....no words to describe it. My westie Willy passed away on October 21, 2020. He was my heart and joy...hell he still is lol but I know that he is waiting for me when my time is up. I took him everywhere with me lol he liked fish so I spoiled him with a huge fish tank of fish to look at whenever he wanted. :) He would tap his nose against the glass and the fish would scatter lol I'd take him fishing and to swim, then after we would spread out in the sun and sunbathe, enjoying the sunlight. I'm currently getting a new westie friend in the summer or fall. I was so hesitant because I thought Willy would not like that but realized that he wouldn't want me to be sad and alone without a buddy. I miss him every single moment of the day.
Westies are the besties! I had one live to 18, two that lived to 16, one to 14, and I have two now that are 8! Westies are the best pups ever!
we just lost our bestie westie about 2 months ago, she was 16 1/2, passed from natural causes, she died surrounded by the people she loved, she is missed every day, theyre such good lovable animals, ours wouldnt even bark, she just yipped now and then, and when you had food, she just sat there waiting for her turn, no begging or barking
Enjoy them. I'm too old to get another, I don't want to leave one behind! I'm sad on & off & will miss him till I see him in doggie heaven
@@1jidion that's exactly how mine passed.. peacefully & being surrounded by love. Believe it or not he actually sat up to kiss my husband & I on our noses then laid back down & passed.

I lost my Toby and vowed I wouldn't go through the heartache..two years later I have two Westie puppies now 17 weeks old.. brothers so I took them both as couldn't separate they are such lovable little rascals and best ever decision
Margaret, I am so happy for you getting two twin Brothers. How fun. You must be having such a blast? I hope to get another baby girl after we get the one that needs to be born this year. This is hilarious. My pup is two now and is still bonkers but nothing like those first few weeks. It’s exhausting. 😂🇨🇦

We lost our Westie in 2017 at the age of 12. We thought we had a few more years with her :( lovely little dogs.
Ours is 10 and going to vet this week.She has a lump (or a mass) on inner thigh...think it might be cancer... wife is a wreck.....

Bless you Yvonne for adopting your Westie at 12. That is so wonderful. We adopted our Westie Lilly Pup in 2010 at age 6, she might as well have been a puppy. So energetic. We had her 11 1/2 years. She passed away on Thanksgiving Nov 25, 2022. We put a deposit on another Westie puppy (female) this time to be born sometime this year. Looking forward to bringing her into our family. She will be named Ellie.

I’d love to know where you got your Westie. Our Terrier Toy-Poodle mix, Ida, recently passed, she was 18 years and 3 months old. We are looking at Westies.

@@frankiegreenhouse923 i don't think he was implying that sickness never happens. I had a Westie that got meningitis and died at age 12.. But I also think that the ones who live long lives wouldn't do so without proper care, regular vet visits, and good nutrition throughout their life.. So sorry about your little one getting csncer. I can tell you loved them much.
My parents said we are getting a Westie named Prince so these days I’ve been looking at videos of these dogs and they are just the best

I am on my third male Westie. The first one (Kip) lived to be 16 and the second one (Brody) lived just short of 18. I now have my little Quentin who is five months old and so much joy and fun. I agree that westies are the most fun and adorable dog to have and thank goodness they have longevity on their side. Very cute video of your Pip.

Sorry for your loss. Taking our westie to vet specialist this week ..she has a lump or a mass on inner thigh rear leg.. local vet says might be cancerous too.
We'll see...did your doggie suffer much? OURS acts completely normal and full if the dickens yet too... very hard to tell if she is in much pain at all.... ?

We were told that the dog carries on as normal...Our Louis had his first lump removed last May..but the cancer soon returned unfortunately..we had regular check ups so thankfully he didn’t suffer his last few days he was motionless...so we knew the time was right to act which was 14 th December ...which was very sad for us.. and still is..

My Wesite 15. He is old and gets tired easily but he's been through a lot yet but powers through it and loves food, walks and sniffing around
We lost our website 2 years ago aged 8 and we are still heartbroken , he was our world, R.I.P ARCHIE , he passed away with " westie' lung , please get westies checked and get your vet to check them properly, and enjoy your little bundles of joy .
lost my westie nov. 30th this year at 9 yrs. I loved him so very much and would give most anything just to see him again. He passed due to cancer. Love you winston ❤️ (remember, you will see them again someday in Heaven.)
I lost my beautiful Westie Poppy in July 2019 from lung disease aged 8 too. She was my first ever dog and I miss her so very much. Especially this time of year watching her unwrapping her presents. She had such a beautiful character 😥💔

@@sarahchamberlain491 Sorry Sarah for your loss. I lost our Lilly Pup at age 17.5 years old. We adopted her at age 6 from Craig's List back in 2010. I miss her every day. She was my heart and soul. I totally understand where you are coming from. Our new puppy that we have a deposit on from last Nov 2021, her mother (hopefully will be Poppy) We picked her out from her photo online and also because she is a smaller Westie as well. Ours was a Petite Westie. I found out from the breeder, vet that Polly is like her mother Holly and does not have large litters. So we might have to go with the first available female, not sure yet. I have to wait till around August and contact them about it. I would get another one Sarah. I can tell you love Westies as much as I do. I have an illness which requires me to be home most of the time and not work, so I am home for my dog. Let me know how you are doing and if you got another Westie.

I had a West call Bobby my mom and dad had him even before I was born and my brother was born my brothers older than me. Bobby died about a year ago. Well he didn’t die and we had to put him down, he was 18 and he was having some issues. Now we have Fergus .we got him when he was about a year so we never really Idid not got to deal with a puppy which I was pretty upset about because I wanted to have a little puppy . but Fergus is really cute and I’m glad that we have him
When I had Lilly Pup, everyone swore she was a puppy, even at 13 years old because she never got gray, she was always white. I think the older Westies are prettier than the puppies myself. I love the skirt on their bodies and the longer, fluffier hair with those adoring Amber eyes peeping out of the White fur. So precious.

I totally believe in rescuing Westies first, but now a days it takes 2-4 years to even adopt a Rescue. I belong to the Westie Rescue in Greater Denver, CO area even though I live in Colorado Springs, CO. I don't want to wait that long for happiness. I need it soon. My baby died in Nov 2022. I miss her so badly.

My Westie Maggie, passed away in my arms back in Nov of 2019. I have her picture on my phone so that I can see her face whenever I pick it up. She was a rescue and I thank God every day I had her in my life. She had her share of medical problems over the years I had her but I would gladly still pay for them today all over again if she was still here. Even though I was supposed to be the one running this house deep down inside she always let me know it was her's she was just letting me stay here.

I lost my first westie Dakota at the age of 12. It was the most painful experience I’ve ever had. Friends said not to rush getting a new one. Just grieve and it will pass. So I called the same breeder a week later. I’m glad I did. I loved Dakota so much and still miss him but I’m happy that I have Hagi now. He brings me so much joy and love everyday. He will be four years old this December. My Christmas puppy! I love you my baby Hagi! I love you too D.

My westie died in 2001. Her name was snowy becuz she was super white n fluffy lol. Thinking of getting another one.
