    Duncan, I'm super happy to have just recently discovered your content, I've got two tastefully modified 04 Forester XT's with vf39's and supporting mods, so watching your channel has been specifically interesting to me. Can't wait to see more!

    Putting my 02 Wrx back together tomorrow and plug in Rom raider for the first time soon. As long as i have no leaks and everything is running good. Appreciate you giving out to the community my guy! Info like this is great. I'm a Deisel tech that works on semi truck and trailers so none of this is forreal on in my line of experience other than some graphing sensors and what not.

    Great session, I learned a lot. One thing I'd do in the future would be to stream in 1080p, the text is hard to read at 720p.

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  Год назад +1

      Thanks 🙏 1080 is a paid plan so wanted to make sure it would work before committing extra expenses without any income to offset against. Hopefully monetization will come very soon and I can up the quality 👍

    Is there any way to recalibrate the knock sensor in order to avoid phantom knock detection around 2.5k rpm cruise?
    Also does the stock map sensor can be calibrated to beyond 20psi manifold pressure (that often i saw done by usa tuner?)

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  Год назад

      Hi. Great questions...
      Easiest way to solve that phantom knock on cruise is to stop the knock sensor listening while it is on cruise. If you raise the load threshold for Knock to above the load level you are seeing on cruise it will cease interfering. On Ecutek it is possible to adjust the sensitivity of the knock sensor so that table does exist within the rom but no open xml definitions that I have seen yet have shown that table. I haven't bothered trying to search for it within the hex code because the load fix sorts it out most of the time.
      Re the map sensor.. Yes it is possible but the limit for displaying the manifold pressure still exists even if internally it is seeing and using a higher value.
      Hope that helps 👍

    Hi Duncan, I installed a 2.5 non VVT engine into a 2008 Outback with VVT. Runs great until I need lots of power to climb a steep hill, then engine power cuts out. Can I remove the VVT programming, Kenneth.

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  11 месяцев назад

      Hi. Thanks for the question 🙏 Is it cutting because of vvt errors?
      You can disable to codes for the ocv's that are not there assuming you can get into the ecu on the outback.

      Thanks again it did I have a usdm 2014 wrx with a TD0516 and upgraded top mount intercooler by process west. With the stock intake the ecu was basically making corrections but after i installed a Cobb SF intake the AFR's went lean.

    • @racedynamix
      @racedynamix  Год назад +1

      Yeah the under 'hood' temps are sky high plus the intake.. The maf scale at the low end of the scale may need adjusting upwards a bit to stop it making such big closed loop corrections. But also probably adjust the fuel map to keep it right on boost
