    Oh Gods, the second you mentioned female and WoW, I instantly had PTSD. I spent two years hiding the fact I was a woman from my guild and never spoke during raids, because I healed Battlegrounds and Mythic Raids, and Keystones, and freaking every time one of the female healers messed up - instantaneous harassment. Actual abuse. I stopped playing during Battle For Azeroth, because I couldn’t take the stress and I was terrified to play. Sucks, too, because I loved that game.

    I have a friend who is a girl, and loves video game. She had a specific guy classmate, who was sexist as hell. My friend stood out for the girls, and told the guy how sexist af he was, then they literally got into a argument how she must be trash at video games and soccer, and stuff like that, and they ended up having a 1v1 in both video games and sports. Needless to say, my friend, who again, is a girl, won against the really sexist guy, and the guy didn’t even get a single point at all. It was amazing, the guy didn’t make any sexist comment publicly since that time...

    I'm still terrified of voice chat on games. I grew up in that decade. I'm 30 now and have panic attacks at the thought of even getting on a voice chat. I only did it a couple of times back during halo days. I can never play the series because of that time.

    Regarding the strange animal facts: here's one: clams have their intestinal tract running through their heart. And one giraffe fact: the nerve that controls their larynx (recurrent laryngeal nerve) goes all the way down their neck, loops around their aorta in their chest, then comes back up to their larynx. (All mammals have this same arrangement, but in giraffes, it's just extra ridiculous. 🙃)

    I see a similarity between tourettes and the sort of thinking problems I deal with, and in a way, those who stutter. If you hit your stride, you suffer less. If you get reminders of what you deal with, then you suffer in those moments. I watched Anita in this video go on a rant for what was frustrating her, and she didn't really tic until she was done. Not that it's an illegitimate issue, but it is "in the head", and it seems if focus can be removed enough from whatever the issue is, then it presents less or stops presenting for a time.

    • @JCruz-ik2yw
      @JCruz-ik2yw 3 года назад

      You clearly didn’t listen dumb ass ... a physical and tic has nothing to do with what you thinking it’s INVOLUNTARY.. if you stutter due to over thinking maybe it’s a lack of confidence or possibly a mental thing but stuttering and Tourettes have nothing in common and you saying it’s in her head is offensive.. your assuming she can control it and if she could then it wouldn’t be Tourettes dumb ass, she literally said when she’s in deep concentration it can be less but she has no CONTROL of what experience she’s going to have. Your problem is your problem it’s not the same

      @@JCruz-ik2yw its not the same, but it is similar and there are things in common, its correlated with intrusive thoghts and ocd, i think you shouldnt comment so strongly on smth you havent researched further. The commenter never meant to say anything insulting, he never assumed she can control it either, you cant "control" any disorder, you think ppl with a stutter do it on purpose? i didnt think so. But there are things that improve your symptoms. Thats what he probably meant by in the head, anxiety is also in the head, nobodys choosing to be anxious tho right? And there are ways you can improve it. You shouldnt jump to insult someone you didnt even understand in what they meant. I think this person was just pointing out the same thing you said, when your focus is entirely directed at something else and your brain isnt freeflowing and throwing a bunch of thoughts at you, you get less of the intrusive thoughts and things like whats the worst thing that could happen rn or whats the thing i shouldnt say or do(stutter, tic), and it happens less. These arent on purpose obviously and a lot of her tics seem to be a lot less concious and more random, this probably varies between tic to tic and person to person. But some of the more contextual tics are probably more like an intrusive thought blurted out loud.(bc of whatever chemical thing goes on in a person w tourettes) Anita even talked about this, if you get nervous abt doing or saying the wrong thing or ticing at the wrong time its more likely to happen. This is also the case with intrusive thoughts and stutters. You get nervous abt it they keep coming back more. These three conditions arent the same, Tourettes probably has other different factors chemical or genetic that results in these physical involuntary symptoms so i also dont think its entirely "in the head" like some of the mental disorders, (but then again mental issues are said to be related to genetics and chemical imbalances too depending on the person but thats besides the point ig) So these arent the same of course, but they have some similarities and can coexit or overlap in some ways, this person was just pointing out an observation they made on that.

      @@theyfukenwmesubliminally thanks. I do think from my own experience there is a degree of control indeed, but this is my own experience and I can't read the minds of others of course.

    And Anita if you see this, though you may already have considered it, if you haven't, you'd do well to consider exploring ways to defend yourself, bolster the physical security of your home, etc. If the police aren't going to help you enough and you suffer for that, then forget them. If that's all patently obvious then please disregard.

    • @popopapi
      @popopapi 3 года назад +1

      She lives in uk so even defending yourself in you own home against a burglar could get yourself in trouble. You also cant even have a knife in public places, not even pepper spray or anything like that.

    • @danielgoodman3578
      @danielgoodman3578 3 года назад

      @@popopapi I get the problems like that. One argument is that it would be better to get in trouble and be alive than not in trouble but dead. Only problem is if she is imprisoned for defending herself (assume her defensive response was just that and totally legitimate outside the view of the UK govt), she may suffer at the hands of fellow inmates. But if no prison, surely it is better for her to remain alive. The alternative in the immediate is to be a sitting duck hoping nothing happens as it was in her case. A government that violates your right to defend yourself and then refuses to work super hard to pick up the slack (can't pick it all up but should at least try) is a corrupt and failing government. Beyond 'accepting your fate' you can try to push for reform as she did, or move.
