Pat! I grew up reading Snowboarder Magazine when you were the editor. It wasn't the same when you left. The articles that I enjoyed as a kid/young man completely changed. Thank you for years of reader enjoyment.
This is insane. Did not know how much business intelligence Bridges had, thought this was gonna be more of a story telling epi VS. a proper industry deep dive. Well done
SO STOKED for this!! The mags were my only connection to the shred world growing up in middle and high school, so the imprint Bridges left for me runs deep. So much respect for him - his word is gospel, as far as I'm concerned.
So pumped to hear this interview! I had the pleasure of giving Pat a drive from the brothers in killington to the open the morning of the Tony the Tiger day because my homie Jason Mitchell asked me to give his buddy a ride that morning and what a cool and chill cat. I think we were both almost still drunk that morning from the night before but I still remember that morning like it was yesterday!!! Anyhow one of my favorite interviews. Brought me back to the good ole days🤙
Had to break this one up over a few days to take it all in. Really covering all avenues of the game.. love it! Thanks again for doing what you guys are doing!
Great interview and so good to catch up with "The Eye." It was always great to get stories from Pat back in the Snowboarder days and so cool to hear his perspective on his career. So far.
. Greetings from Missoula Montana. Thank you BombHole for making such a rad Wednesday I look forward to your podcast every week… Some serious knowledge history was dropped today…Yes 🙌🏾 a Boozy/Whiskey shout out!!!! Kokanee bottles broken over the head
Thank you Pat for calling out sponsored riders that take their opportunities for granted. Way too many kids out there that would love to be in that spot !
Great episode guys! I'd also like to submit a new hot take question im always curious about. Do you step & push off your toeside or heelside of the board when scooting around?
If by the MJ of snowboarding you mean the greatest of all time, I agree with Pat. But if you actually break down what MJ did in his life, his personality, his winning-ness, his clutch victories…it has to be Shaun White. Shaun White is the gnarliest competitor who put winning ahead of relationships (like MJ). He wasn’t universally loved (like MJ]. He is famous beyond the boundaries of his sport (like MJ). He excelled in more than one sport (like MJ, sorta). He hasn’t stayed in the sport, become a coach or an industry guy (just like MJ). So, Shaun is actually the most like MJ, but Travis is the greatest snowboarder.
PAT! As a group of snowboarders we say thank you for your endless passion for everything you have done, are doing, and will do for the community!
