This is way better than previous Intel iGPUs, will be interesting to compare it to AMD Vega 8. I was too little to remember 2000-2010 but I think 800X600 would have been fine then, now we are too spoiled by 4K or even 1080p.
800x600 is definitely a playable resolution, it felt so high end when i could only play using 144p resolution at 20 fps with a Intel Core 2 and Intel q45/q43 express chipset and 2gb of DDR3 RAM, but some games did run well enough, like CS Source and Half Life 2, GTA SA was intensive but kinda playable as well.. yes it was an actual nightmare to play games on that piece of crap

It depends on the game to consider a resolution enjoyable or not. I used to play Fortnite at 640*480 and there wasn't any disadvantage because of its graphic style. But for a game like Apex Legends even 720p feels bad and its hard to spot enemies because of its graphics style.

Back in the old days I played UT'99 at 320x240 in SW mode, because the laptop at work had NeoMagic GPU with 2MB _(!)_ VRAM and no HW acceleration support at all. It had decent fps with that game, though _(and, other ones - like the ePSXe on the native 1024x768, for example),_ despite all of it running on a single-core Pentium II 300 MHz CPU _(yet, overclocked to 360 MHz using a PLL hack)._ But the funny thing is - setting it on 512x384 _(half of the display's native 1024x768)_ gave a crystal, razor sharp, image, much clearer than the, say, 800x600 _(on the same panel)_ - because of exactly half the pixels. But, as there was much less fps on 512x384 - I played UT on 320x240. =)
The fact in 2022 integrated graphics can play tripleA titles is it the best fps experience well obviously not but if you don’t care about high frames all the time for every game you can save so much money and just buy a igpu and still play all the games you like now. Like igpus now compared to even 5 years ago. Kinda wild to think. Granted eventually the higher end igpus like this and the r5600g will push the cards like the 750 and 1050ti out the door unless you specifically want a gpu.

This is better than I expected, I completed the game with GT 1030 GDDR5 2GB with 30fps cap, it even drops to 10fps U cap this with 30fps and u should get playable experience!
Not when moving fast though. For me FSR looks horrible when moving fast. DLSS does better job. I would even say IGTI is little better than FSR when moving

Honestly what i've found is that FSR cost a lot to run, at least on iris xe, running windowed and using Lossless Scaling with LS1 upscaler for me works much better.

i think you can built your pc like i was doing, start with integrated graphics like this (i had mi integrated graphics Radeon R7 from Amd) and its was so amazing the perfomance, then when you get enought money buy a Gpu like 1050 ti and then you finally get a monster pc
Hey ZWormz! I play Microsoft flight simulator 2020 on Intel Iris xe graphics at low settings high textures with temporal Anti aliasing. I can get 20-25 fps which in my opinion is more than playable. Could you do a video on msfs 2020? Also my resolution is 720p and it looks ok.

720 is still viable for low end

Happened to me with Doom Eternal and RE Village, had to upscale to 2K for the game to look really sharp. 720p is pretty much obsolete at this point

You should test IGTI upscaling. IGTI doesnt stress low end gpu's like FSR 2.0 does so you can squeeze little extra performance compared to FSR 2.0
