The irony of Burnie and Geoff talking about having fun being arseholes to nervous flyers, and then Burnie wanting to deck a guy for doing the exact same thing is hilarious. It's like if the always sunny gang had media company and I love it.
Came to the comments to say exactly this. Honestly, whether that guy was actually scared or trolling, that is an EXCELLENT evolution of that joke. Maybe Burnie was just jealous he didn't think of it first, haha.
Who is here after finding out RT is ending
Im having such a hard time trying to wrap my head around how i was around like 13 or 14 when i started watching AH & RT back in around 2012-13. Going from a child to now being 25, being a man on track to now being wedded in a few months & developing and now trying to fix / recover from an opioid addiction.. in just around *HALF* of the "lifetime" of this one company ive spent countless hours upon hours watching and being a fan. Although to be fair the Ryan/Adam disaster pretty much being my favourite "characters" of both my top shows being outed as dickheads did irrevocably destroy my enthusiasm and pretty loyally following the regular uploads.
Ill raise 1 final beer & toast "Kippis" to all the fine creators.

@@TheZINGularityNailed it. I always come back to these every once in a while. I remember as a kid wanting to go to RTX SO BAD. This company and these people are responsible for so much of my humor and childhood. I really stopped watching regularly after Ray left, but I’d still watch a couple videos. Over the last few years, it’s just become a trip down memory lane.

I ordered a drawing tablet (despite not drawing let alone do animation) when the news broke.
I've loved animation my whole life and while they're so many talented animators I've watched growing up on youtube these hold a special place in my heart. They're so infectious despite their admittedly poor quality, its very inspiring!
Hopefully I can put in some practice and make something outta it :)

Correction the dumbest point in the history of the company was selling out to WB
Been saying that for years and no one believed me.
They got their bag. The goal is never to build something up to run it forever, it's to get big enough to get noticed by a large competitive conglomerate so they pay you several million dollars to hand over the company, which they then run into the ground gradually over the course of several years to appease government watchdogs, because the goal was never to profit off of the subsidiary's talent, it was to eliminate their presence in the economy and siphon off their market share.

Geoff is a true warrior, man. His alcoholism, divorce, all the Rooster Teeth drama. He took it in stride and still gave it his all to make us happy.

@@oruwigar3143 I'm only relieved in the sense that since most of the main crew left due to various issues within their lives and the company itself. A lot of controversies and just an overall decline in quality of content. In all honesty the past 5 years of rt have been a little tough on them. With this then they might be able to move onto other things that they want

Why cant we just get one company to be good their whole life and not cause the fans to be worried for them? I just worry from everyone having their own problems to rude fandom comments that everything eventually works against a great company (rt or otherwise) and leads to its downfall or people not liking it. Its kinda sad you know?

I grew up with RT and AH. I watched until sometime around 2018 or 2019. Even when I stopped watching I would rewatch old stuff all the time. I don't recognize the company today and didn't really support their decisions but I am still heartbroken to hear they are shutting down.

There is something so "hallowed" to me about old RT, just the visual of a bunch of friends going around experiencing random shit, living with each other and doing whatever it takes to see their passion come to life, and how the community responded so supportively of that
Fuck, things like "meeting the man" and showcasing small businesses across the US is already so damn cool and to me, brings life into the US and content made around it, the accumulation and telling of these stories is something that is so, so precious about this stuff

I know it’s dumb but I’ve spent more time watching rooster teeth content than anything else and I’m so so heartbroken about the shut down.
