Question please. What would happen with you guys did the same on the climb as you did on the flat? Meaning, keep the same w/kg. Because the you did was obvious that she would be faster. Still wanna know what happens when you all keep the same w/kg on a climb. If you a video on that please take me to that. Big discussions on that on my cycling group. Need some light please :)
Very helpful! I'd be interested in hearing you apply the Best Bike Split concept to the upcoming St George championship route so we can get a sense for how some of the competitors might be approaching the course.
I was 289lbs being of last year ,I currently 257.8lbs . I am way faster on the downhills, climbs and flats. I can actually attack up certain climbs with ease. I was struggling on the same hills . Every week is PRs . Want to lose 10- 18kgs more. Weight ratio does matter . But also include some weight training and burpees .
Would you say that this then boils down to course selection and pick the course that suits your natural physiology? I suspect that it’s comparatively harder for a smaller rider to get to the same FTP as that of a bigger rider - is that correct?
I’m a smaller person which means I am always dropped on the flats. On my zwift races I would average around 4.2w/kg which just keeps me up to the c riders who average around 3.5w/kg.😢
@@JwallzMTB in the end its just a matter of raw watts IMO. As a lighter rider, I always gets dropped on flats and downhills. W/KG is sort of useless. It's like high jump, it's not about jump as high over your own head as possible. It's about jump as high as possible :-)
Probably preproduced this episode a few months ago. Go back on the Channel, they have Lanazrote videos out for the last few weeks. In WInter Lanzarote is a nice venue for training.
Hi! @@martinlanz2944 We use lanzarote as a destination film lots of content in a small period and release them slowly, It allows us to keep a fresh feel to our vids! And a bit of sun is always nice too 👀
Do you prefer climbing or riding the flats? Let us know down below 👇

Glad I found this video. Answered a lot of questions that I've always wondered about.
Very nice how clearly you managed to display this concept!
Thank you!
Great video, very informative!
Thanks Brandon!
You should do FTP tests to see which presenter currently has the highest Power-to-weight ratio.

What is his recommendation at the end for finding the bike courses?

We keep wondering where is Fraser? 🙏🙏🙏 Answer the question GTN. I have a theory, but will keep it to myself.
I have mine, but more importantly, where have you been? Fraser’s been gone for almost a year.
@@jobanski I'm not the only one, besides, was there an official announcement thus? Also I indeed was out for more than a year
Fraser announced he was moving on to other things in a show.
Somehow I missed the new kit, and apparently they've been wearing it for over a month
What do you think of it?
@@gtn its great! Ill be buying one this summer!
Why Lazarote??? So many places in Europe...
