Honeysuckle smells of sunny summer days. Love it.
My favourite smell is my children's heads when they were babies. Too long ago now.
Heading there myself this week, always a pleasurable visit, Conwy too
Choosing a favourite smell feels like too much of a commitment but books, soil and dogs have got to be up there.
Really great to see you come to Wales Marek.
I forgot about books! I love the smell of books.
I love that first photo of the pier!
Others have said this, but trees etc smell great after rainfall
But fried dough is also a great one
I'm loving the fact that you're getting out and about.
Aww that was cool seeing Mr Schnitzer at the end of your vid both on your shelf and then in the photos. Tee hee!
One of my many favourite smells is freshly laid tarmac. I also love the smell of liquorice.
My favourite smell - tomato plants in my greenhouse. We definitely need more happy to chat benches in parks, up hills, by bus stops etc.. I saw one when i did the Alresford Riverside walk last August & what a friendly welcoming sign it was for putting people at ease. Darn mountain bikes churning up the hillside! Have a good easter.
You have set a worm in our heads about visiting North Wales thank you Cool Dude.
Best smell fresh grass or petrichicol.
Come tlo the Mendip Hills some time .
It is worth a visit cool dude.
@cdwc I think so, there is a 10 mile walk from Wells to Cheddar there I'd a bit of a climb up the Mendips but not too bad then it's across the top onnthe Mendip way as it's now called.
Beautiful views across the levels for miles around.
I'm going to have to say my favourite smell is boiling currants, prunes and dates in tea to make Bara Brith! I live near the Little Orme and it's definitely best avoided in the the middle of winter when it gets really slippery, interesting factoid, the first book ever printed in Wales was on a secret printing press in a cave on the Little Orme, it was an illegal Catholic text called 'Y Drych Cristionogawl' (The Christian Mirror).
Excellent fact cool dude
Excellent walk and painting cool dude. Doughnut smell was probably wafting across from the pier. Many a childhood holiday in Llandudno.
Food smells are my favourites. Chip shop, especially at the sea side or a bakery making fresh bread.
Llandudno looked delightful. I think sun cream might be my favourite smell. Cheers marek, stay cool, nice one 👍
I like the really cheap sun cream's smell.
Great video as always, thanks Marek. Never too early in the year for ice creams, top tip, the ice cream place down on Shanklin seafront gives bigger scoops out of season!
Best smell for me will always be a real Christmas tree in my childhood front room.
I love the smell of creosote, must be having grown up in the 70/80's with three bar wooden ranch fences and having to paint them every couple of years
I used to smell it a lot more in the 80s. Maybe it is illegal now. Thanks for joining the channel cool dude.
@@cdwc this is why you should never google a fond memory from the 80's, a large majority of them turn dark, seems it's carcinogenic and prohibited for sale to general public..I think I'll change the smell I like to the smell that comes out of the valve steamdeck vent..
Perfect for the evening after finishing work before a bank holiday off work!! Thanks cool dude!
You’re doing well with the weather Marek- so far..
My favourite smell is a pine forest
My dad mentioned the great and little ormes just last weekend as it happens, he said that from the sea it is said to look like a sea serpent or something like that, with a raised part at each end and the bay in the middle. The word "orme" comes from old Norse meaning this sea serpent, and the English word "worm" comes from this too.
Favourite smell has to be coffee.
Thanks for the video Marek.
Ha. I mention this in the next video cool dude
Oh no! Sorry, I didn't think. Well probably most people won't make it to the end of my rambling comment. These are a great series of videos, thanks for doing these.
I love the smell of rain on a warm day "Petrichor".
Another great walk Marek, that's my Dad's favourite part of the UK. Did you see any of the mountain goats?
There are mountain goats in the next video cool dude.
Your Dad is very wise to like North Wales.
My favourite smell is brand new tennis balls, fresh out of the tube. Cor... lovely....
That is a good one. I wonder what chemicals it is that we are sniffing when that happens.
That was a pretty walk Marek, my favourite smell….. fresh cut grass 😎
A few people agree with you on that cool dude.
Wow, what an adventure! ⛰ Loved the video, and I'm seriously considering joining the cool dudes walking club! The scenery looks amazing, but those hills? 😅 Definitely feel you on the steep parts! Your ham and cheese lunch by the sea sounds absolutely perfect 👌. Also, bacon roll smell + honeysuckle = YES PLEASE! 🌸 🥓
freshly cut grass in the morning👍🏼
My al time favourite smell is probably lavender or sandalwood
A beautiful Chopin waltz at the end there, Marek.
You are making great strides in your piano playing 👊🎹
I played it exactly as Chopin envisaged it. I am gearing up to enter the International Chopin Piano competition. Have you seen the excellent documentary on it?
🤣🤣Oh no - Chopin shouldn't be fought over - but I'm sure you would walk it! 👏 @@cdwc
So, a few days my boys and I were watching a movie....Horrible Histories: The Movie when all of a sudden "HOLD ON! Pause that.....I know that gladiator!!". Thoroughly enjoyed the movie by the way :)
Absolutely the most accurately named you tube channel evah, I misspell because it's cooool
Nice one. Thanks so much for joining cool dude.
Favourite smell---- Kippers yum, yum
Prefer the taste to the smell.
That lovely smell when you open the foil seal on a jar of Nescafé, or the smell of the pages of a new paperback book. Maybe you should take a walk somewhere that would make Sunglasses Marek anxious 😉
Top Welsh hill-walking, Cool Dude. I feared another phone box incident when you were about to enter the church, but all was OK in the end 🙂
Favourite smell - the seaside 😎
I was about to write the bloke looked like he was having a piss but thought it a bit mean. Ha.
My favourite smells ? Newly applied Creosote or when it rains after a spell of dry weather. Enjoying the North Wales walks Marek 👍🏻
A few Creosote admirers on here cool dude.
Lovely walk. Looking forward to seeing you tackle the Great Orme
The Great Orme was even better cool dude.
Amazing my mum lives in Rhos-on-sea (that's where the tiny church is)
Ahhh. It is very pretty round there.
Llandudno looks very pretty and good empty beaches in North Wales, probably because it was cold enough for ladies gloves. Eating ice cream whenever you feel the need too is one of the perks of being a grown up and a cool dude. Favourite smells would be the classic freshly baked bread and onions frying, but not at the same time, although... maybe... ?
I didn't have to get the ladies gloves out that often luckily. I think you are right in the face of the Northerly winds where I was.
Cant believe you never bumped into Outsider Tank on this adventure. He was clearly keeping stealthy
A stealth tank?
I had to go on a geography trip to Llandudno in the 90s where we had to walk the length of that beach measuring the rocks for erosion..
A good place for a field trip cool dude.
Not long until I'm there and you've timed these videos perfectly - I'm excited and hope I have equally as good weather as you had! I will also wear ladies gloves of course
There are another three Wales videos to come so you can get more holiday ideas.
Beautiful walk, your camera takes some great pics, lovely colours! Love the smell of freshly baked bread or cakes. Also wild roses and yellow azaleas, guess it's difficult to choose just one favorite smell :) It's never too early for an icecream. Great watercolour paintings, thanks Marek
Thanks cool dude. I enjoy taking the pictures.
Favourite smells
Jen - beef in the slower cooker
Mike - coffee in the morning
Both top notch aromas cool dudes.
I think my favorite smell would have to be ice and I know that may not make sense but when you are out on a frozen lake, or in a hockey arena there bis a sharp cold smell present and I love it.
I like the crisp smell of winter.
I think I need to make more effort to visit North Wales, it is less than an hour away from home but I've hardly ever been. My favourite smell is either freshly ground coffee, or the smell of new shoes in a shoe shop (not sure what strange chemicals make up that smell...)
It is definitely worth a visit cool dude.
0:18 great photo 👍🏻
I've had a cranberry scented yankee candle on my dining table for years, too fond of the smell to burn it completely.
Not sure I've ever smelled honeysuckle, I'll have to give it a whiff.
There is a lot of honeysuckle out now near me, it is divine.
Another great Video Marek 👍My favourite smell comes from cats or dogs paws, they have a strange but gorgeous aroma reminiscent of Digestive biscuits and Basmati rice.... if you know you know
Yes we call this popcorn paws
Or poopcorn paws if they’ve just stepped in their own mess, like my dog often does!
I had not heard of this before cool dude.
@@wazeroonie6084 🤣
@@wazeroonie6084gross!!
You don’t look strange at all, you have a pleasant face and always remember you’re the funniest person ever cool dude
i used to live in Bae Colwyn, did that walk a couple of times except walked up to the observatory on Great Orme as the end. just an FYI, u is pronounced i in welsh so Llandudno is clan did no, and Trillo is trick lo. i used to like that church, especially as you can't see it driving along the road.
if you go back there's a great deli called Hambone Food Hall in Llandudno. it has a big pig statue out front, really great Spanish omelettes. there's also a great Italian restaurant near the tiny church, probably the best restaurant in North Wales. used to be called La Dolce Vita, can't remember the new new.
it was good to see the old homestead. diolch
I always get the pronunciations wrong apologies. Will definitely check out those places if I go back.
@@cdwc it's not a big deal, you got Llandudno mostly right. i was fully expecting you to pronounce it lan dud no like most people ;p. happy 48th for Sunday. i'm 50 in seven weeks...
Are we sure those gloves aren't grey? Glad they were comfortable in any case! In terms of cooking smells, bacon is hard to beat, although maybe caramelized onions are up there too? For flowers, my favourite are freesias, I think.
Good smells. The gloves looked lot greyer than in real life.
Favourite smell = jasmine in bloom
My favorite smell is homemade bread baking in the oven.
Llandudno is a pretty place. I'm planning a visit this year but might just stick with the Great Orme tramway for £8.50. Dunno if my legs can do steep walks right now. My favourite smell was the fleeting scent of Sweet Olive trees when we lived in New Orleans. It was only in the spring for a couple weeks, especially after a cool rain.
I think next time I would get the tram too cool dude. I loved it there.
Always nice to see a new vid from you!
Thanks cool dude.
T-shirt ordered. Top walking vids Marek!
Thanks cool dude
Very nice
Footsteps churn mud up,tyres run over the top
Cracking video as always Marek!
Thanks cool dude.
Are they still the same walking poles? They’ve done well if they are. 😊
And Happy Easter 🐣 🎉
Yes the same ones, they have been very good thanks cool dude.
Thanks
Very kind. Thank you Carl.
Favourite smell? A weird one maybe: the burst of flavour as you open a can of Dr Pepper! Reminds me of 1985.
I have only recently started to appreciate the flavour of Dr.Pepper. I think it is a sign of a very advanced palette.
@@cdwc Absolutely!
Great video.
Those are greyest brown gloves I’ve ever seen. 👍
That is a trick of the light.
A few years ago Cussons did a chocolate orange scented hand wash. I must have bought dozens of bottles, my hands have never been so clean! But the rotters discontinued it, and now I will never be satisfied with another soap for the rest of my life. So yeah, that.
I hate it when cool stuff gets discontinued. A recent big loss for me were Topic bars.
May do this one in May as we’re heading to Llandudno!
The next walk I post is even better cool dude.
Favourite smell - used 50's.
Wow what a lovely surprise! We did not expect to see our badges on here
Nice one cool dude 👍
Ps amazing video as always
Creosote... Yep, I'm odd, but it takes me straight back to being 8, when they painted everything from fences to telephone poles in it.
Good smell
Too many smells to love.....Weird ones like Tar, Coal & Bonfires.🔥 Then there's Libraries & A New Book 📖to read. Or maybe Early morning dew. Fresh Cut Grass. Summer Roses🌹🌹or Lilac...oh & my long gone Gran's apple pie🍎🍏🥧 By the way, those Welsh Ladies must have exceptionally large hands. Did the trick though...were they made of Welsh Wool?Great paintingx J x
I love the smell of roses too. My Grandad planted loads of rosebushes in the garden of the house where I near live.
@@cdwc Oh Marek, how lovely. Roses to remind you of him. Lived with my gran all my life but whenever I smell apple pie cooking it's like she's right there again.
The path going up was slippery because of all the tears from the walkers who don’t like walking up hills👀
I think I added to those.
Bread, fresh out of the oven. Nothing Better.
Very homely.
most excellent
My favourite smell was my late cats paws, they smelled like sage and onion stuffing. Odd as he spent a lot of time covering up his stupendous turds in the garden…
Someone else mentioned this as well cool dude.
Favorite smell: chocolate chip cookies baking
De-lish
Favourite smells are roses, woodsmoke and my baby son's head. (not now, he's 17 and smells of Lynx)
Ha. Lynx is definitely not up there.
I like honeysuckle too. What is landscape mode. I may have reached my technical limit.
On it's side rather than straight up.
No pigeons! ;)
I edited out the pigeon shot, as it did not make the grade. Ha.
Favourite smell: the hot oil and coal smell of a steam locomotive
Cool smells cool dude.
It's a toss up between freshly cut grass or Petrichor.
What! No strawberry laces?
I forgot to pack them, plus they have gone up to 75p. Two years ago it was three packs for a pound.
The buses are Green and my favourite smell is Frankincense.
My favourite smell is new car smell! Why did you not sit on the "happy to chat" bench?
Bucket list dream is to bump into you Marek while doing the same walk ( that would imply we started at the same time or one of us is alot quicker and caught up with the other)
I would probably be the slow one.
Freshly cut grass and i mean green grass and not the smoking kind😁😁😁
You must be looking forward to Spring cool dude.
@@cdwc i cut grass for a living, so yes in a strange way i am, have not cut much yet as it's been so wet. have been binge watching your content, love it cool dude👍👍👍
Brown ladies gloves? They look grey to me.
They look a lot greyer in the light than in real life.
Yay first
Nice one cool dude.
is this the start of crossdresser Marek? the new emoji? first gloves...then a scarf...its slippery slope mate.
sorry had to.
I got the bus question right, mostly because I see a lot of blue busses nowadays for some reason. Also my grandma was the same way as those people you passed...if she had an opinion about ANYTHING especially if it pertained to you, youd hear it for sure, at full volume.
My favorite smell....hmmm probably this particular brand of dryer sheet for the laundry my mom used to use when I was a kid. If I smell that I instantly feel so much internal comfort.
Lovely walk.
My favourite smell is garden bonfires.
Not when you have your washing out though.
Sometimes steep slopes don't look that steep on camera. That one looked steep.
It was steeper than it looked on the camera!
The smell of fresh bread is my all-time favourite....that and the smell of bacon cooking.
Imagine.....bacon AND fresh bread. Your head might explode.
Favourite smells - 2 part wood filler, patchouli and my dogs fur! Takes all sorts
Pretty obscure ones cool dude.
Hi Marek,
Favourite smell pear drops, or amyl acetate just in case you happen to be a closet chemistry dude.
Glad to see you are getting some use from your Camp Snap camera, have you decided what to do with the 6000 squillion pounds you saved on not buying a Whangbuster 4000?
Glad also to see that you seem to be overcoming your totally irrational fear of slightly muddy slopes, how are you with rock climbing and abseiling down potholes? Don’t think we didn’t spot that you filmed the decent in slow-mo.
The precipitous pronunciation club of Great Britain (PPCoGB) applaud you on your correct pronunciation and may invite you to present at one of their events.
March is not too soon to eat an ice-cream, should have gone for the triple-choc amyl acetate sundae
Cheers
Graham
I am glad I was right about the ice cream in March.
The Camp Snap Camera and trip to Wales actually took up all my money so there is no spare cash unfortunately cool dude.
@@cdwc Perhaps I’ll put a bid in for your Llandudno Pier & Little Orme painting, that might help!
Does this mean you will be wearing more ladies clothes? I remember you wore ladies sunglasses in an episode 👍
Every episode I will wear more ladies clothes.
Did the lady on the scooter want her gloves back?
I've been rumbled.
Did any of the elderly bench sitters say, "he were the one that pretended to be an horse on that thing we've fat rik mayal"?
I think none of them would have watched it cool dude.
My favourite smell is my own farts after a large roast dinner. 💨🤢🤮
Good smell cool dude.
My favourite smell is possibly petrol... don't know what that says about me?!
A few petrol fans on here cool dude.
As a kid my favorite smell was petrol !! 🤢 Nowadays I don´t think I have a favorite smell.
Maybe the petrol smell damaged your smelling capabilities cool dude. I hope not.
And favourite smells first one would be frying onions. Second would be….my own trumps! Now, I don’t mean trumps after eating Sunday dinner or a pickled egg! I mean a standard trump that has a kind of warm and savoury aroma! This trump aroma only comes from your own farts not anyone else’s! I think if we are all honest and throw out social convention we can all admit this is a reassuring and comforting smell!!
I don't know if I agree with you on this cool dude.
Cracking video. When you get even more rich and famous than today, perhaps we could all pick a random item of clothing you must source at the start of each walk? As for smells, you will struggle to heat freshly mown grass! 🎉 CD #123
I am becoming less rich and famous by the second.
