I'm also 44 and having the same dryness, but I just wash my face with dandruff shampoo for a few days when it starts and my skin is back smooth again. This might help with that alot if you try it. I enjoy listening to your videos so much. I've loved Floraiku for a few years there bottle are so beautiful, hoping to have a full bottle that and the Bitter Peach one day.
I suggest Julianna’s Perfume “A Kiss in the Rain” as a “One Umbrella for Two” inspired fragrance. I have not smelled the original, but this one does have the blueberry muffin thing going on and I LOVE it!
Hi Arlene! You and I have similar taste! I own coromandel, and I have tobacco vanille on my wish list. I smelled it in Sephora and loved it. It had almost sweet milky yet spicy notes in it to my nose. Baccarat Rouge 540 is PERFECTION in a bottle. Yes it’s pricey-but it’s super strong I smell it on me all day and it doesn’t cause headaches aah I could rant about that perfume all day. Lol
I love Stranger Things! I love all the characters, but Dustin is my favorite too. You should watch Fringe, if you haven't already. It's probably my most favorite TV series. Your hair looks stunning as always!!

Not sure if you can get it but Julianna’s perfumes has a dupe for One Umbrella for Two called A Kiss in the Rain. I don’t know if it’s close but it’s beautiful and I get compliments every time I wear it. Everything I’ve picked up from them that I had prior knowledge of has been fairly spot on and their formulations are my favorite of the dupe houses I’ve tried.
So first, I love Gladiator. Just a perfect movie. Disappointed to hear the sequel isn’t good. But also not overly surprised. Also I loved Amy Grant when I growing up. I had her tape or cd player Jen I was younger. And of course Tears for is great, and Madonna has made so many good songs. I’m of course partial to the ones from the 80s and 90s. I was obsessed with the song Material Girl when I was little, runner up being La Isla Bonita. But she has so many good ones. My husband got me into Live to Tell, which I never appreciated before him. Also I guess I need to see Strager Things. I would love the 80s references. I was born in 81. As far as perfume, I wear so many, but recently I’ve pulled out my Alien Essence Absolue to wear a few times, and I got 2 new samples from Tom Ford and o really like both. They’re Vanilla Sex and Vanille Fatale. Really pretty imo. Of course I’m getting a lot of decants of perfumes for Christmas so I’m excited for that. A few I had and loved but ran out of. Including Althair, Vanilla Barka, Rolling in Love , Plum in Cognac, Iris Malikhan and Sublime Vanille by Creed. Can’t wait to have those again. I wanted to get Tonkade but it was sold out. 😢 Oh well. I can wait. Lol. Oh and they’re were some I do want to try but had to pick and choose. I’m hoping I can try them in the near future. Like Afternoon Delight by Maison Margiela, and Burberry Goddess Intense, Devotion Intense and Vanilla Powder by Matiere parfums. Have you tried any of these?? Definitely interested in them. (I love Devotion and Goddess btw.)

Of the ones you've mentioned I've not tried Althair, Vanilla Barka, Plum in Cognac and Afternoon Delight. AD has interesting notes but I've not heard good things about it. Vanilla Powder...that one is NUCLEAR! Careful with that one when you test...it literally smelled of my entire living room after spraying it 😆
@ So ironically out of the many decants and samples I got, I didn’t get any of the new ones I listed. lol. BUT….i did get Old Fashioned off your recommendation and love it!!! This is not a perfume I would have tried based on the notes. (I was looking for vanilla or Tonka and there was none to be found!! Lol ). But I have faith in you and I’m glad I did because it’s amazing. And so different too!! I’ll have to tell you all the perfumes I got and what I love soon. I almost feel overwhelmed. I’ll just tell you travel sprays for now. I got Devotion and Burberry goddess. (I had samples and fell in love with both.) I also got Eilish. I heard good things about it, but I’m getting this weird animalic musty note along with the cocoa. Really weird. I also got the Glossier You set with the original You, You Reve, and You Doux. The flankers are new to me and I like them both, but I can see how they might not be everyone’s favorites. The former is a sweeter take on You, and the latter a little more woody. I also got Pink Woods by Ariana Grande. I like it a lot so far, it’s sweet and a little woody (cotton candy, cashmere wood and tea). I also got Vanilla Skin and I really like that one. I had heard good things about it and I love vanilla so I had to try it. So with the new to me, travel sprays only one might be a miss. So that’s pretty good. And I definitely have some samples and decants I’m already loving. Like Initios Narcotic Delight, Akros Bake (vanilla, lemon zest and brown sugar-it does remind me of Devotion and a little of Lira) and Laboratorio Olfattivo Vanalgloria. (I’d been wanting to try this one for a long time, supposedly similar to BabyCat which I also want to try.). So many perfumes and so little time!! lol. Gladiator is one of those movies that made a lasting impression. A very good one. Joaquin was my favorite as well also I also loved Russel Crowe. But Joaquin made me want to punch him, that’s how good he was. He should’ve won all the awards that year. I saw my 2024 wrapped up on Spotify and actually my top 5 was accurate. Tom O’dell, Switchfoot, Sam Smith, The Script and John Mayer. I always look forward to not just the perfume talk but all the other interest like movies, tv and music. Btw, love your hair 👌🏼
If you’re ever back home try Little sister’s coffee shop, the golden child espresso one is really good regular and in a latte 😊. I have tried many many coffees and I keep coming back😊 I also felt the same a Gladiator 2 it was meh.
Oils for skin are amazing, i mix my own. For rhe face, one if the most nourishing is ROSE HIP OIL, you can mix it with Raspberry Seed Oil also with Camellia seed oil. Almond oil is anither you can mix. (Camellia Seed oil is so nice as a first cleanse to take make up iff with).Those are a little hard to find but LIFE CHANGING. Youll need to look for them online at aromatherapy supplies. For the body: lots of nice oils to choose from, Again almond oil with REFINED (NO SMELL) Sesame oil(sesame is skin softening).
For a TV show recommendation, you should watch Evil, if it's available where you are. Sadly, it was canceled after four seasons but what is there is really good. It's kind of like X-Files with demons. LOL.
Commodus was brilliant- and I’m shocked that Joaquin Phoenix didn’t become extremely popular back then. Personally I don’t even like Joker 1 the movie, but he did an impressive job there also. Have you watched Substance? That is a banger of this year

I feel like Chanel eau tendre gets a lot of hate in the fragcom. It’s one of my all time faves and a classic. Anytime I smell frags with a similar scent profile, I loooove it. Mojave ghost has the same wood/musk note to me
Your hair is always nice but I did notice how long it was getting and I really liked it on you. I’m constantly growing mine and chopping it back because it starts to annoy me so I understand. I have never heard woman in chains. So weird. I love sailing and I haven’t heard it in forever. Those were good times for music.
