- The 3rd boss is N. Tropy, the guy who designed the time twister machine you use. He can be the trickiest boss to beat. You have to avoid his homing eye..ball things, then jump over his laser beam...things..and then trust in your depth perception skills to jump to him for the hit. It's one of my favorite fights, and he's one of my favorite characters. Not much else to say about him.
Note: These boss fights are done without the use of abilities you gain after defeating them.

I like how N. Tropy creates a perfect path for Crash when he is tired so he can get his ass kicked.
This fight, and the sound effects from it, are my favourite in the series.
Nothing like shooting temporal paradoxes at marsupials.
The music is PEAK in my opinion🔥but I agree, the fight & SFX are one of my favourites as well
So much UMPH to the sounds of the attacks and the theme is so catchy
Fun fact: If you re-battle him after you got the Death Tornado, you are able to hop over to his platform at any time (you just need the right timing). However, he will notice this and slam his fork in the ground, instakilling you.

You know what's sad. He doesn't do that AWESOME instakill in the Remastered version. I honestly think he's more intimidating in the original because of that. (He's also smaller in scale in the remaster making him even less intimidating)
I had a friend tell me, the bosses were a BIT nerfed, in the remastered version.
I love how he seems to accidently smack the clock while turning to face Crash. It shows that he's impatient, ironic given his time powers, yet also fitting considering how he leaves himself open in the fight.
I wish they didn't take that out in the remake
Hey, thanks for explaining that it was N Tropy himself that knocked down his own clock. I was wondering as to how the clock managed to fall since it was suspended in the air.
I love how N Tropy's whole showdown is an exercise in frustrating yourself. :P
I’m pretty sure N Tropy always uses his impatience to mess with time. Just as how he was initially turning the clock before crash arrived
As kid-friendly as this game is, I love the combo the voice acting, the powers that N. Tropy uses and the pretty difficult way the battle is structured.
It really gives a more hauntingly powerful vibe to it....
the laser sound effects make it even better

N Tropy looks like a mix between the clock from Don't huge me I'm sacred 2 and Jafar from Aladdin

I like how Dr. N. Tropy is the only boss (besides Cortex and Uka Uka) that has 3 Timewister parts.

My favorite boss fight of the whole trilogy. Looooove that music. He's moderately difficult too. Some platform patterns can be tricky and it can sometimes be hard to tell which energy balls need to be jumped over or ducked under. Great fight.

Why do I get the feeling N.Tropy should've been after N.Gin instead of before?
Papito Fuentes N. gin is Cortex's go-to henchman so it's usually him as the second to last boss. Plus N. gin is a complete bad ass physicist. I don't know, I could just be bias because N. gin is my personal favorite character

You know I thought I was the only one who felt that way. He created the time twister machine, he shows up in the intro as if he was going to be the new right handman of Uka Uka and Dr Cortex (kinda like Crash 2 with N Gin), and he's a master of time which is a main theme of this game. It could've been that he was planned to but N Gins boss fight was a lot tougher (and way better) so that was more of a priority.

The smack sound of the clock falling always cracks me up
I love Dr. N. Trophy. He's so amazing and is not as scary as dingodile or tiny tiger (the latter scared the hell out of me as a child but the former just looks weird and creepy). I remember when I was 10, I had so much fun playing this boss level. And ever since then, he reminds me of some Danny phantom villain cuz of his animation.

N. Tropy is truly one of the best bosses in the game.
Something the remake failed to include was the little detail about Entropy being caught off guard, and knocking the clock down with his fork.
0:59 stand at the third platform which is the nearest to Tropy, then quickly perform a combo of dash + double jump + extended tornado spin(so that itll stay mid air longer) ...and you will reach Tropy :D
unfortunately....he will slam his fork to the ground and youll be disintergrated :3
My brother played Crash a lot more than I did growing up, but I remember I loved fighting this boss all the time.
N.Tropy is one of my favorite villains from this franchise, I've always liked how serious and collected he is (before getting furious, obviously). He has a certain composure that other characters lack, as if he thought he was in a serious game instead 😂 not surprising that they gave him a major role in multiple games.
I actually like this original version of the opening to his boss battle better than N Sane Trilogy's, its more amusing with him knocking the clock down

The remake version of this soundtrack, as well as classics like Rock it/Pack attack, N Brio's Theme, Komodo Bros. etc. are going to be so damn awesome.

You have the NTCSC/U version. In the PAL version, we have to defeat him and quickly jump to the other side of the level and then you would hear the message.

Back in third grade my best friend had this game.... He brought it along on a winter friday in school where we were allowed to use the schools PS1 :) He played this one and had a memory card and everything so we played this level alot and for some reason even though i have played a little part of every crash bandicoot game in the original trilogy then this is by far the most memorable character i can remember and even one that started my interest in TIme itself :)

1998. I was a 5 year old kid back then. Still got the disc, I'm 29 now and still feel like a big kid when I put it on lol! Some serious nostalgia!

It took me so many tries to beat this guy when I was a kid. I've memorized the sound effects he made and he became my de facto favorite character. Oh and he was harder than all the other bosses.
Ahh, this song brings back memories. I still have a working copy of this game too; but I dont play it for fear of a collectors item in the trash. Nice time on owning tropy; lets see N Gin- hes one of the longer ones to ice.
I loved this boss wished there was a mod that made him much faster and harder to fight.
I knows there's mods to make individual levels harder. Maybe search up those and ask the people playing if they know of any

I think this is my favourite boss from Crash 3. Don't get me wrong,Dingodile is still the king,but I love how this focuses on platforming and last second dodging from the clocks

I wish N. Tropy was used a lot more in future Crash games. He's so cool! I loved this boss and his voice! He was just very underdone with in Twinsanity even though his design in that game was flawless. The only problem I had with it is if they could have at least made the pipes on his back go up and down or his clocks tick.
I could also imagine a future boss battle with him where destroying clocks around in a room annoys him and gets in a free hit hinting from the intro in this video.

If Cortex is such a genius, then surely, if N. Tropy keeping care over the machine was that important to keep the Time Twister machine safely running, wouldn't he have put Tropy in charge of the 4th area?
It's a shame in the remake they did it... less mad, like, he is more "patient" and calm, unlike here where he is more impatient and agressive, also more angry, like, even with his time powers, he is _impatient_ to kill you and grab the crystals, so sad the remake removed that from him.

This was the only difficult one as a kid. Particularly waiting to see this, N Gin and Cortex fights in the remake.

I like this much more than the new version. N. Tropy is so threatening here! In N Sane he seems a bit bored, or annoyed.
In Crash 1, no. In Crash 2, they used holograms, but none of the regular bosses appeared on them. Only Nitrus Brio (the supposed "bad guy" of the game), Dr. Cortex, and Coco used the holograms to communicate with Crash.

You know that a guy named "Entropy" is a hell of a deal.
If he hits you with his attacks or if you touch him, the death animation looks like Crash is being "deleted".

When I was a kid and played this, I couldn't beat him and I had a nightmare that night and tommorow I was so afraid of N.Tropy. And he still looks very very scary to me and he's so creepy and spooky I can't look at him :o
