His face is on the coin that they toss at all Big Ten Games. I agree though he was way be for his time. One heck of a legend and young man.
nile kennick's heisman speech has been called the greatest heisman speech in the history of the trophey. how the man doesnt have some kind of trophey named after him is beyond me
Kinnick was voted the athelete of the year ahead of Joe Dimaggio, and Joe Louis. Before each home game they show his Heisman speech...I've seen it 50 times and it still gives me chills. Also, every coin flipped at every Big Ten game is a coing with Nile on both sides.

by watching this video and recounting the last two seasons, i think we can all concur that iowa.......loves winning in the closest games possible
The Football Writers Association of America, arguably the most prestigious organization at the time to vote on a national champion after the bowls were played, gave their national championship trophy, the Grantland Rice Award, to Iowa....ranked 30th in most prestigious programs, ahead of Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin. So I guess ESPN decided that outright conference championships isn't the only determining factor of a program.

I actually went to Lexington Museum in Corpus Christi Bay. It was amazing that they have one of those Big Ten coins and awards with Nile Kinnick on display. As most of you know, the U.S.S. @chuckhall14 errr ummm I would never count Iowa out. I'm not saying you won't beat us, I'm just saying about the time everyone gives up on Iowa or when we are the underdog...we usually win. I do think this will be an angry rivalry and will fastly become second beind oSU and Michigan. Things could get ugly at games as well.
