    It can build up and repair damaged blood vessels. That's why it's good for hemorrhoids which is what they are. Best ingested. When used in conjunction with vitimin C it can reverse a lot of damage caused by insulin resistance and high blood pressure.

    Thank-you Robin, for this delightful video! I found Collinsonia growing up near the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA in rich woods yesterday. It is a new herb to me and I plan to tincture the root this autumn. Hemorrhoids are a pain in the butt.

    I have it in supplement form, I had hemorrhoids three years ago, and after taking it for three days, the pain was gone! I am now nine weeks pregnant and having a flareup and I was wondering if it was safe to take during pregnancy? Its 3 tablets a day (850mg)

      I am not aware of any cautions regarding using this plant during pregnancy. Check in with your own body and see how it feels. And use any new herb or food in moderation.

    Looking into growing these since I recently started buying the pills for them hemorrhoids and it gets spendy. Is it a realistic option to grow these, or would I need like 100 plants or something?

    • @RobinRoseBennett
      @RobinRoseBennett  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes it is a realistic option to grow them, or you could buy a few plants from a reputable nursery (like Healing Spirits Herb Farm) and you do not need 100 plants :)

      Although herbs aren't drugs and don't work in the same way, Stone Root does seem to work to increase urine flow to relieve water retention (edema). Hope that helps.

    Hi, if taking this for hemmeroids as an astringent, what do I do before and during my period? Will it make menstruation more painful?

    • @RobinRoseBennett
      @RobinRoseBennett  2 года назад +3

      Sometimes women choose to take a break from any course of herbs they’re using when they’re on their moon cycle. It should have no effect on menstrual pain.

      Good question and thanks Robin for answering. Just found your channel and discovered this herb. I plan to take a course of a month for healing with Chanca Piedra for bone spurs, and calcification with some liver detox herbs and colon cleansing. Great video. Your voice is very calm and healing 😌

      @@ShinySilverBunny Thank you! Do you have my books? I highly encourage anyone looking into herbal healing to pick them up, as they are a wealth of knowledge, both imparted to me and self-learned (or rather, the plants taught me directly!) @@RobinRoseBennett Hi Robin, No I'm new to you! I just looked at your website and you have 2 books. I'm not new to herbal healing but always need to learn something new. Witch 🧙‍♀️ 🪄 🧹 book would you recommend? 🤣
      BTW the Stone Root is a powerful diuretic!! Wow!! I feel very Cleansed after a couple days of it with Chanca Piedra. With allergies and histamine response and any type of inflammation in the body I find there will always be excess fluid retention. It gets my joints alot in the spring time it's so awful. Glad the hot weather is here to kill the pollen.
