Having Mike and Roy on here was SO fantastic. I loved the variety of games and seeing everyone's point of view. Mike and I have similar game tastes (and both play solo a lot), so I really appreciated hearing his thoughts especially. What a great addition to the Dice Tower!
As much as I miss Sam. I feel the list with the 3 of them was getting a bit stagnant. The addition of Mike and Roy was amazing. What I like about Mike. His explanation of the games was so elegant and engaging. I agree with alot of his games and it was nice seeing tons of different games that differ from Tom, Zee, and Sam. Roy was really "Nice" as well. He was the one that voiced the people the most. He is a true amerithrash gamer. Great time guys! It was a good 20-30 hours well spent! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
I cannot express enough how much I loved this top 100. Not only there was gazillion of great jokes, gags and really thoughtful insight into some of the games - popular or less popular - but there was a lot of pure passion you have for the hobby. It was just amazing to watch - it really reignites my passion for board gaming. Especially I loved the moments where you guys wanted to turn off the camera and go play the game. It just says a lot about you guys :) Keep up the great work! PS I thought while watching Roys nr 10 that CMON should make 'My little Blood Rage' edition ;)
I love the addition of two new gamers. Their choices are so different and interesting to watch them gush about them. I miss Sam, but these guys are such a great addition.
Love the social dynamic of this list! I miss Sam so much, and I am sure he would have been a great addition to the group, but this team really shines with all these different roles: Tom is the lovable overgrown child with the need for attention, Zee is the heart of gold soft-troll joker who keeps everyone on their toes, Roy is the overexcited young one with the enthusiasm of 10 gamers combined, and Mike is the honest, humble wise man with a great sense of timing and well-placed humor. Love you guys, and loved these videos!
I've been following The Dice Tower since 2014 and this, hands down, the best Top 100 games of all time list you've ever made. Please, don't choose between Mike and Roy to have a third "main member", but have them both join you! I loved the dynamics between all of you. I know we are used to see "the three guys from the Dice Tower", but it doesn't have to be that way anymore. The best videos from your channel are Top 10 lists and Miami Dice (with Zee). Now why don't you revive Potpourri with V and Z, add a sort of "euro reviews" with Tom and Mike, and have all four of you do every Top 10 list from now on? I think that'd be great. Roy and Mike are great in front of the camera, give them more screen time!
A 4x vid is too long for RUclips w/o compromising on depth. Just too much banter/mockery/inside jokes resulting in bloat. You can tell these guys are getting vetted because the new guys aren’t throwing rocks at each other. I think Roy brings that young left-wing vibe in his game type preferences that would round the team out more completely.

@@Steve-L Nice we like a lot of the same games. Why do some have *s? For Sale has been replaced for me, I would rather play Lost Cities: Rivals every time. Same thing happened with Caverna replacing Agricola, The Chameleon replacing Spyfall, and Clans of Caledonia replacing Terra Mystica. I enjoy Sheriff of Nottingham and just got the expansion but haven't tried it yet, I'm excited for it though.
@@rickadam6051 * means it needs more plays and its position may move, My wife loves Lost Cities, and I enjoy the game play, but hate the math afterwards. Spyfall and Chameleon are okay, but Insider knocked them both away for me.
I finally just got Scythe (been admiring its artwork but not its price for years) and WOW. Completely worth the hype, even at just the base game. Full group of newbies took FOREVER to play, but despite the 4hrs we all played again the very next day haha.
I do love the game as well! It has a rare sense of when you first play it, you get the love of seeing the mechanism just *click* into place but you are excitedly aware you have no idea how to optimize it yet, and then as you get more used to it, you start seeing the subtleties involved and how to begin forming strategies where the different player boards really do affect how you approach things. I have no illusions that I am any good at this game, but I love my experiences with it and seeing how something as simple as having different rewards on your bottom actions will affect how you want to play the whole game. Really unique and fantastic game!
@@stormy7722 I really enjoyed the need to adapt my gameplay style based on the faction and player card I started with. The first time I had no starting access to mech resources (how do I cross a river now??) - then the second time all my workers could swim! Both times I had a good but very different shot at winning. I also loved the pure tension of executing plans over multiple turns, plotting out a combo of different moves and pivoting based on others' choices. At first I wished combat was more plentiful, but I ultimately like that it feels risky and truly like a strategic play that needs executed at the perfect time. The endgame is the most tension (in a good way!) I've ever felt in a game - trying to set my final avalanche of benefits and conquests in motion without anyone noticing and/or before someone else can end the game to stop me!
@@stormy7722 I personally love seeing how the mechanics of the game actually come together themselves to help you develop a strategy. It isn't obvious if you have just watched it, necessarily, but what rewards you get for which bottom actions will have a big rippling effect on your choices, as does your starting resources and the like. It is one of the few games that even though I have to play a few games to understand how it all fits together, seeing how it does has me so intrigued that I want to learn it more - especially since the basic mechanism is so simple: choose one action pair to do this turn. But it does all for together so elegantly, especially when paired with the area control/cold war imminent threat of fighting on the map. Zee describes games that are elegant in how pared down they are to essentials. This game is elegant in a different way, in how subtlely each mechanic affects the others in strategically significant ways. At least that's how I feel.
Love Roy's enthusiasm and clear passion for the industry. Mike is a whole different level though. That sheep comment by him during Blood Rage had me on the floor :D. Really great additions to the team.
Loved having both Roy and Mike on the list. It was a blast to watch. If I had to pick one of them to be the new regular third man it would have to be Mike. I really liked the on-screen chemistry/banter between Tom, Zee and Mike and his opinions and likes felt like a really good balance to what Tom and Zee brings to the table. But having either Roy or Mike on, as the third, would be great.
Good job Roy for including War of The Ring, amazing game! Those condescending remarks from others were really uncalled for (with Sam it would have been even worse because he mentioned too many times how much he dislikes this game). And Tom's opinion that movies are better than books is not even worth commenting.
Thank you guys, I spent all the hours watching you tasing about your favorites. I had a great time. A little bit sad, that it is finished now. Hope to see you soon as a group again.
This top 100 list was fantastic. I miss Sam, but it has been good to shake up the group dynamics. The lists were becoming a bit predictable and the chatter was sometimes the same things that had been said about a game for several years in a row. Mike is a great communicator and would be good in an interview roll. Great series.
I really appreciate how thoughtful Mike's commentary is. I hope to see more of him on the channel! He is such a great addition to the crew with his articulate, yet humorous style.
Wow, that's blast from the past. It was surprising to see the "Le Havre" picture of the board on the screen with the little dinky boxes I made. I uploaded that very picture to BGG almost 11 years ago now.....
Mike and Roy are great! I really hope they'll keep participating in these lists! I'm so impressed by Mike's ability to articulate his critiques. He's great at building on other people's observations, too!
This lineup is the best thing that's ever happened to the dice tower. Love Sam and miss him dearly, but the torch is in stellar hands. Thanks fellas!!!
This was such a pleasure to watch. The chemistry between the four of you, as well as the mixture of favorite type of game, is great. After Sam left I thought that my taste in games would not be as closely represented but I find myself with a lot in common with Roy! Please keep up the great work and lots more Top 10s with this lineup please.
I really wouldn't want to lose Roy or Mike in these videos. They both bring a really fun and unique energy and their tastes in games is really interesting! Keep them both!
Very nice! Roy and Mike definetely made this t Top 100 better. It is also very nice to finally see Heroes of Land, Air & Sea the recognition it deserves!
Summoner Wars been in my top 3 since FOREVER. Everytime we bring it out, all my frind will always play it, hit all the checkmarks for us group, glad it is still Tom’s favorite :)
Best Top 100 for a long while, the addition of Mike and Roy has mixed it up nicely. The last few years have felt a bit stale but the energy levels and humour are here in abundance, keep up the good work guys 👍
I was torn between imperial settlers and 51st state. I have very similar tastes to zee and he likes them both. So, last major sale I finally decided and got 51st state and the two expansions. Then, literally the next day, I saw a review for Empires of the North and everyone was praising it, including zee. I was worried I got the old system that's been improved upon. But master Zee has vindicated my faith. #1 with a bullet, 51st state! (I still haven't played it :P )
This format is absolutely fantastic! I love the energy and love shared about your favorite games, and actually even enjoy the critical counterpoints by the panel members who don't like the game. Please keep future top 100 list episodes as long. Kudos on your wonderful work.
Started following dice tower a week or so before this top 100 started and it’s been so much fun to watch! I’ve only just gotten into board games and this has been super informative In the last 2 months I’ve bought Dark souls the board game Dark souls the card game Descent 2nd edition Gloomhaven Scythe Game of thrones the board game Elevenses Star Wars armada Really looking forward to digging into this new hobby
I think you’re the only other person who owns the Dark Souls card game, lol. I really like it though, it was one of my first games as well since I liked the theme so much
Shane Murray I’m new to board gaming myself but I do recognise that Elevenses (which I have as well) is very different to the other games in that list 🙂
Great top 100! I really liked the inclusion of Mike and Roy for the top 40. Zee was dialed as well, everything he said was pure gold. Well done by everyone involved!
My top 10: 10. Trickerion: Legends of Illusion/Hero Realms 09. Scythe 08. Caverna: The Cave Farmers 07. Star Wars TCG 06. Twilight Imperium 3rd edition 05. Spirit Island 04. Blood Rage 03. Anachrony 02. Star Wars: Rebellion 01. Gloomhaven
Love how all of you went in depth on how each game works and what you loved about it, both objectively and subjectively. Also, the jokes and shenanigans on point as always!
Suggestion: At the bottom of your screen, when you are discussing your game, could you add 1] Type of game, 2] # of players 3] Time 4] Difficulty to play or teach. It would help me in my decision to buy.
It'll be interesting to see what's on Mike's and Roy's lists! Just made my first ever Top 50 Geeklist on BGG :P Here's my Top 10: 1. Brass: Birmingham 2. Pax Pamir 2nd. ed. 3. Great Western Trail 4. Concordia 5. Tyrants of the Underdark 6. A Feast for Odin 7. Ginkgopolis 8. Yokohama 9. Age of Steam 10. Texas Showdown
@@yadayadayada It sure is. 20 plays behind me and every single time the game is different and the best player wins the game. it's extremely well balanced too. Amazing design.
I gotta say.. As different as my gaming tastes are to the Dice Tower's four, board gaming is amazing and it is filled with variety - There's a game for everyone. I had almost no crossovers with Dice Tower guys. There were few that I disagree with, some of their favourites are much lower for me. 51st State, Scythe, Le Havre are all in the 6-7/10 rating for me. Interesting. I'm glad that they had new favourites.
I mean no disrespect to Sam, but this was a definite step forward for your lists, in my opinion. I was concerned about what the human interaction would be like on the lists after Sam announced his leaving, but Mike and Roy add great energy, humor, and interesting perspectives. I am glad you have both a Euro-centric and an Ameri-thrash centric player to represent. And I found the joking around even better than in previous years - you all clearly get along very well (as of course did the group with Sam). Thanks for it! It's be fun to have some other Top 10s with this whole group!
Why is it, that I’ve been playing table tops for years and years, and am deeply engrossed in the hobby, while also regularly watching Dice Tower, and I’ve still never heard of half the games on this list? How am I so out of loop?
For anyone who hasn't bought into Scythe's appeal because of hype, i recommend you check out what rodney smith has to say about it. The game is my #1 favorite and expect it will always be simply because of the puzzles it presents to you each game. From the artwork to the balancing, this game deserves to be #1.
Im suprised that Scythe is that popular...It is one of the most disapointhing game I ever played. The turn are to fast. It never feel like you do a "big" and awsome turn. :(
@@SebastienGadoury I definitely see where that could be frustrating, but for me it also felt like a really rewarding tension/release sensation to plan and execute a "big" move over 3 or 4 turns in the late game, trying to plan out future moves' cost and action combos, hoping that no one catches on until its too late. It wasn't the joy of a big explosive move, but of getting an avalanche to build so fast no one could stop it!
@@SebastienGadoury thats a good point. Personally i like that the turns go quick. It might not be as exciting in one turn, but a culmination of choices that determine how well you do.
@@felixharper523 i think that is Polania (white) if there is any lack of balance, i would agree that it favors white but only in 2 player games because of the amount of goodies they can get from the encounter tokens.
Even though I probably have the least crossover with Zee his list may be my favorite. I think he's great at explaining his games and I really respect the uniqueness of his list and how he doesn't care what others think about which games are the good ones or not.
My top 10 games: 1. Tikal 2. Insider 3. The Quest for El Dorado 4. Century: Spice Road 5. Carcassonne: Amazonas 6. Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers 7. Trias 8. Acquire 9. Isle of Skye 10. Modern Art Tikal has been on my top 10 since I first played it. And when I played it, I had to find a copy. It was #3 for 3 years, but has been #1 now for about 4-5 years.I am surpised it didn't make Zee top 100, I know he is a fan. Insider is my most played game. We play it often in my family get togethers. But we have changed the rules. We added 90 seconds to the time and go around in a circle to ask questions, and we use the Werewords app for the words. A party game for my #2? yep and I love it. I also love all 3 roles. The Quest for El Dorado was fun but didn't stay getting played when I discovered Clank! In Space! But when I played Clank! I loved it so much I put El Dorado away. But eventually I did get tired of Clank! and brought El Dorado back. It is my wife's #1 and I love it as well. It has surpassed Clank! in Space! And we enjoy the expansion. The familiars (pets) are great, and the heroes are amazing. the rest of the expansion is just okay, but having more tiles is nice, no matter how good they are. Century Spice Road is a such an amazing simple game. I have played a ton of this with my wife. Hunters & Gatherers was my Carcassonne of choice, but my wife decided to try Amazonas again, which I had enjoyed, but didn't have enough plays to really appreciate. She began to like it, so we played it more, and now I think it is a better game than Hunters, although with 2 players Hunters is probably better. Both are amazing! Trias has been in my top 10 for as long as Tikal, but has slipped a little by the fact it doesn't get played. I love the strategy in this game a lot! Acquire is new to my top 10. I played it once about 6 years ago and it needed more plays. I played it again about 4 years ago and still needed more plays, but in 2019 I finally got more plays and absolutely loved it. I know its old and almost a mass market game, but its just wonderful. I don't even care for Stock Market games but just loved this. I expect this to slide down into my top 20, but for now it is in my top 10. Isle of Skye has slipped a little as I played a ton of this. But now have both expansions and it is just amazing. The 2nd expansion is more of the same and made it so much better, the 1st expansion makes it into a heavy Euro, and I like it, but won't play it every time. Since I am a Carcassonne fan I gotta love this. I don't own Modern Art, but have played this several times and just love the straight auction play. I do like auctions, and this game is just great.
I haven’t played all the newer games still growing my collection but here goes my current top 10, changes all the time... 1. Castles of Burgundy 2. Puerto Rico with expansions 3. Village 4. Dominion Intrigue 5 Carcassonne Over Hill and Dale 6. Race for the Galaxy 7. Kings burg 2nd edition 8. Azul 9. Tiny Epic Galaxies 10. Ticket to Ride Honourable mention: Catan with Explorers and Pirates expansion, Battlestar Galactica with expansions and six players - great backstabbing fun! Marvel Legendary with expansions and my son who makes it so much fun! Thanks for putting this on! Like the new guys, please bring them back. Tom, thanks for putting LeHavre number one, this is one game I really want to play!
Some of these comments... 🤦🏻♀️ LOL I loved watching all of these videos, and especially loved the addition of hearing Roy and Mike’s top 40’s! Thank you guys for taking the time to do this. I really enjoyed it!
Intering to see how much of a flash in the pan T.I.M.E. Stories ended up being. Especially considering how hard these guys were sweating it two years ago.
Mike and Roy have given me hope that Dice Tower Top 10s (and top 100s) can still be as great as they were with Sam. I’d love to see a quick series of those two filling out the rest of their Top 100s too!
I played terribly the first several times I played Blood Rage, but I still had fun, and I kept coming back to it, and eventually got a winning streak going. A game I enjoy playing. even when getting crushed, is a game I'll have on my shelf forever.
I just played TI4 yesterday. 12 hours for 6 players. All were experienced. We all knew the game. I suspect it could be shorter with 4 or 5 players but for 6 players it usually runs us in the 10-12 hour ballpark.
Scythe is the GOAT! I can only think of two reasons why one wouldn't love this game: a) You thought it was a dudes-on-a-map Ameritrash game, or b) You had one bad experience/bad strategy while the winner played so well you thought it was because their faction was OP (it wasn't).
Yes the more you play the more rewarding the game is. I think it ranks higher here than on BGG because on there you can score a game a 1 to intentionally bring the over all score down (and there is unwarranted hate because of their perceived hype). Here you can't do that.
Awesome video guys the only problem is I have to wait a whole year for the next top 100. It was very interesting to see how Tom and Zees lists evolve. Roy's taste is definitely theme and I think I would have the most cross overs with Mike.
Someone should remind Mike that he was almost correct on the people’s choice for 2021: he got all 3 right with only scythe and terraforming Mars reversed, but Wingspan did shoot to #1 as predicted.
@@pimentoloaf1509 yup, very new. I'm not a fan really, basically played monopoly a few times that's it. I know a few who plays magic but I don't know how it works (I like the artwork though)
@@pimentoloaf1509 we tried Dominion just a while ago, and my kid likes it, which is pretty rare (he likes computer games.. As usual). And my wife is intrigue, she said it's easy to learn. So, well play again soon. Yeah the reason I have a list, I like a lot of games but I need to choose as I don't want to spend and not use them
@@pimentoloaf1509 yup that's the idea, something to do together, maybe be a bit competitive, and us not being in front of a computer. Can you suggest some store names? I saw you mentioned one, I only know the common ones like Amazon, Barnes, et al
Before watching this I am going to guess the games for the guys without looking at the previous lists again and list them in no particular order. Tom: Cosmic Encounter, Project Elite, Gloomhaven, 7th Continent, Scythe, Time Stories, Star Wars Imperial Assault, Le Havre, Kemet, Anachrony Roy: Twilight Imperium 4, Heroes of land air and sea, War of the ring, X-wing, Nemesis, Mechs vs minions, Gloomhaven, Scythe, Kingdom death monster, Star Wars Imperial Assault Zee: Pandemic, Arkham Horror the card game, empires of the north, atlantis rising, the others, forbidden desert, pandemic legacy, detective a modern crime game, gloomhaven, five tribes People: Gloomhaven, Pandemic, Scythe, Terraforming Mars, Great Western Trail, 7 wonders, Codenames, Splendor, Eldritch horror, Through the ages Mike: I have no idea
I dislike birds as a theme and Wingspan is one of my favorite games of all time. They aren’t mutually exclusive. The mechanics and how well the theme ties to them overwhelmed my dislike for the theme in concept. That said, as others have stated: easily one of the best Top Lists I’ve seen from the channel.
Some major changes, good to see! Mike had a crazy list. One second I hate the game, the next I love it, such a weird mix. I definitely only gel with Roy on Lovecraft games. One day we can put TM and Gloomhaven to rest though. Zee hit it on the nail, no sense that it's #1.
I am so excited Zee bumped 51st state to number one! I always get super happy when he talks about Blue Moon and 51st state... happy when they improve (this year) and sad when they drop (last year)
You should make a top 10 of games that are in print and obtainable... so many of these you can't get unless you spend $200 for used copies. The last thing I want is to see a game I want to play and search around just to find I can't get it.
They have the top ten of 2019. All in print. I get that if it's best of all time there would be some out of print, unfortunately it comes with the territory.
You guys are amazing. Must say that i missed Sam, though. Itt was really fun watching you guys too. I still can’t understand why some games get the popularity that they do.
Great lists and wonderful dynamics, guys! Wouldn't have guessed that Le Havre is Tom's #1. Just recently gifted it to a friend in my gaming group. Of my 6-7 plays of it, found the coal strategy OP.
Thanks for this, guys. I will play games any time with Zee - we have the same game mojo. Preordered Atlantis Rising 2E all-in and now can't be happier I did after demoing it.
I really like Abyss. I love it with both of the expansion. The Sanctuaries from Kraken are cool too. Sometimes they can give the leader a huge lead, sometimes they can bring a player back from the edge of defeat. It's swingy but suits the game because it's a gambling game anyhow. Will you get good cards from exploring, will you give something good to others if you keep pushing, can you dodge that Leviathan or take a loss, can you pull 15+ points from a Sanctuary, is there going to be a Lord that's better for others and no good for you if you fill the row with pearls? Good stuff.

Roy’s Top 10 is fantastic! Will have to look for his number 1. Never played it!
Coming back to this and at 6:11 this is such a brilliant exchange. Zee: "He has a great... how do you say... vocabulary." Tom: "I... that's... not... in my... group of words I know." Me: dying laughing
Ok I just LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE this top 40-1 videos, I thought Sam not being there would change the vibe in some type of way but this is GREAT STUFF..... MORE PLZ!!!...😁👍🏻
This and top 100's from previous years can be found at dicetower.com As of me posting this, they don't have the 10 through 1 for 2019 there yet. But I'm sure that will be added before too long.
Hello, guys! I loved this! This was a great group to watch throughout the top 40. I like both Roy and Mike, great dudes. It'd be nice if you can lower the brightness of the TV you have there so we can see it. I hope that doesn't impact you guys that are watching it there. But in case you thought we were able to see it, it's very difficult because of the level of brightness.
When Blood Rage came out there was a lot of talk of it being a "hybrid" game but as more and more games come out, Blood Rage feels more and more like an Ameritrash game. I feel Tom on this one.
I have been interested in LeHavre for a few years now. So when it became readily available again last year, I bought it right away. Unfortunately, I have struggled to see the greatness of this game. It seems that the basic strategy devolves down to being the one who gets to use the shipping line the most. I really want to like this game. What other strategies am I missing?
Scythe and Terraforming Mars also both have apps/PC versions out...Wingspan has yet to drop on Steam, but the previews of it looks incredible (due out this spring). I think having a game available on PC or app form expands the game footprint a TON...the PC versions of Pandemic, Ticket To Ride, Lords of Waterdeep, even Carcassone & Catan, some of these titles are also available in platform form (Xbox, Playstation), again, adds to that footprint AND keeps them from disappearing off the list. Charterstone is another one...it's due to drop on Steam shortly, and I really want to try that one out...the first legacy style game I think that's been released in app form to my knowledge.
Bombadil (or some sort of magical entity) was necessary to protect the hobbits from the Nazgul at the start of their journey. No way they would have survived in the Wilderness long with the Black Riders already in the Shire. Surely a strange choice by Tolkien to solve this problem, but I enjoy it for what it is.
Ah! So wish I could have made this live... was just a crazy week for me. Anyway, I need to play games with Roy someday. :-) Our tastes really match up a lot.
Thank you for doing these lists, very insightful. I was wondering if you could do a top 100 games of all time that excludes games from the past 5 years. I find many of the games in the top 100 fall into the 'cult of the new' craze and do not have staying power (case and point, TIME Stories). I think it would help those in the hobby to make more informed purchases by doing such a list. I don't believe Legacy or Campaign games will last the test of time as they lack replay value (or if they have replay value it will diminish over time as the lure of unlocking envelopes and permanently changing the board will significantly drop as these opportunities get used up). So it would be interesting to see where these Legacy and Campaign games, dare I include Gloomhaven, will be in our top 100 games (not experiences) of all time 5 years from now.

Mike strikes me as a pretty clever dude. Great addition and Roy's passion and excitement are palpable.

Nah three would be fine. Zee, Mike, and Roy!
@@DoctorMarius i disagree. why would you want to cut it down? both Mike and Roy are great
@@whorod8895 I just find Tom super annoying.

I enjoy Sheriff of Nottingham and just got the expansion but haven't tried it yet, I'm excited for it though.
@@rickadam6051 * means it needs more plays and its position may move,
My wife loves Lost Cities, and I enjoy the game play, but hate the math afterwards.
Spyfall and Chameleon are okay, but Insider knocked them both away for me.
These new guys are really personable and bring a fresh perspective to the show. Really good job.
i really love mike :),,,such an adorable characteristic, more like a hidden gem :D
Not trolling, serious question because i have watched this played 4 or 5 times. What is it about the game, besides the artwork that you enjoyed?
Its not so long.1.5 hours max
Love Roy's enthusiasm and clear passion for the industry. Mike is a whole different level though. That sheep comment by him during Blood Rage had me on the floor :D. Really great additions to the team.
I think Mike is a great addition to this. I'd happily see him join the Miami Dice videos

I love this 4-way list! Love Roy and Mike and I hope you do that again next year! So much fun! I laughed a lot.
Good job Roy for including War of The Ring, amazing game! Those condescending remarks from others were really uncalled for (with Sam it would have been even worse because he mentioned too many times how much he dislikes this game). And Tom's opinion that movies are better than books is not even worth commenting.
Two hours well spent. I thoroughly enjoyed all four of you. Thank you so much, guys!
Love the addition of Mike and Roy. Mike and I were in-sync for this top 10 in quite a few spots!
Wesley Harmon he moved across the country and is now working for mythic games
I really appreciate how thoughtful Mike's commentary is. I hope to see more of him on the channel! He is such a great addition to the crew with his articulate, yet humorous style.
Wow, that's blast from the past. It was surprising to see the "Le Havre" picture of the board on the screen with the little dinky boxes I made. I uploaded that very picture to BGG almost 11 years ago now.....
Mike and Roy are great! I really hope they'll keep participating in these lists! I'm so impressed by Mike's ability to articulate his critiques. He's great at building on other people's observations, too!

Then, literally the next day, I saw a review for Empires of the North and everyone was praising it, including zee. I was worried I got the old system that's been improved upon.
I really enjoy the energy of this four man group!
Why is it, that I’ve been playing table tops for years and years, and am deeply engrossed in the hobby, while also regularly watching Dice Tower, and I’ve still never heard of half the games on this list? How am I so out of loop?
Just awesome. Enjoyed every minute of this content. BGG wish list just exploded!
People love to hate hype, it's one of the worst parts of the boardgame "community"
Roy likes Dragons and space - i like Roy! If I had a bucket list, having a game night with Roy would be on that list.

Tikal has been on my top 10 since I first played it.
1. Twilight Imperium
2. Twilight Struggle
3. Arkham Horror LCG
4. Memoir 44
5. Fury of Dracula
6. Kemet
7. Black Orchestra
8. Inis
9. Diplomacy
10. X-Wing Miniatures
I would love to see a top 10 games to teach specific mechanics.
I haven’t played all the newer games still growing my collection but here goes my current top 10, changes all the time...
1. Castles of Burgundy
2. Puerto Rico with expansions
3. Village
4. Dominion Intrigue
5 Carcassonne Over Hill and Dale
6. Race for the Galaxy
7. Kings burg 2nd edition
8. Azul
9. Tiny Epic Galaxies
10. Ticket to Ride
Honourable mention: Catan with Explorers and Pirates expansion, Battlestar Galactica with expansions and six players - great backstabbing fun!
Roy and Mike add hilarious dynamics to Tom and Zee. Great combo!
Mike and Roy have given me hope that Dice Tower Top 10s (and top 100s) can still be as great as they were with Sam. I’d love to see a quick series of those two filling out the rest of their Top 100s too!
“What’s with this tablecloth?!” Lololol
"Tom, Mike, Zee's Top 100 featuring Roy's Top 100 trolled by Zee." Lol
Awesome video guys the only problem is I have to wait a whole year for the next top 100. It was very interesting to see how Tom and Zees lists evolve. Roy's taste is definitely theme and I think I would have the most cross overs with Mike.
I would love to vote for the next iteration of the Peoples Choice. Where can I sign up? :)
Someone should remind Mike that he was almost correct on the people’s choice for 2021: he got all 3 right with only scythe and terraforming Mars reversed, but Wingspan did shoot to #1 as predicted.
When you realise you just spent over 2 hours watching people talk about board games... 😂
I've spent hours in the past 4 weeks... And how many did I buy?... 1,so far
@@pimentoloaf1509 dead if winter.. It in closes the expansion I think. I just bought Dominion last night too
@@pimentoloaf1509 yup, very new.
Arkham Horror LCG, my personal favorite tabletop game, got so much love here. So happy! Loved the top 100 list, guys!
When are we getting Roy vs Mike - War of the Ring live?
Before watching this I am going to guess the games for the guys without looking at the previous lists again and list them in no particular order.
Tom: Cosmic Encounter, Project Elite, Gloomhaven, 7th Continent, Scythe, Time Stories, Star Wars Imperial Assault, Le Havre, Kemet, Anachrony
Roy: Twilight Imperium 4, Heroes of land air and sea, War of the ring, X-wing, Nemesis, Mechs vs minions, Gloomhaven, Scythe, Kingdom death monster, Star Wars Imperial Assault
Zee: Pandemic, Arkham Horror the card game, empires of the north, atlantis rising, the others, forbidden desert, pandemic legacy, detective a modern crime game, gloomhaven, five tribes
People: Gloomhaven, Pandemic, Scythe, Terraforming Mars, Great Western Trail, 7 wonders, Codenames, Splendor, Eldritch horror, Through the ages
Mike: I have no idea
So i got 6/10 for tom, zee and the people but only 3/10 for roy.
Really entertaining top 100. Although it would be a large undertaking, would enjoy seeing all 5 lists from 100 down, or at least 50. Great job.
Excellent format, enjoyed this series very much!
Happy to see Dominion and Great Western get some love on here!
Ok I just LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE this top 40-1 videos, I thought Sam not being there would change the vibe in some type of way but this is GREAT STUFF..... MORE PLZ!!!...😁👍🏻
Thanks for sharing guys 😉 I'm really surprised that Cryptid is not in Zee's top 100
Is there a full list of their 100-1 rankings anywhere?
There's a thread on BGG about it.
This and top 100's from previous years can be found at dicetower.com As of me posting this, they don't have the 10 through 1 for 2019 there yet. But I'm sure that will be added before too long.
It's on reddit on /boardgames as well.
New Drinking game.... take a shot of your favorite liquor every time Roy says 'like'. Down on the floor within 30 minutes. LOL Love you guys!!
Wanted to comment THE SAME THING under the 20-11 video :D But hey he just tries to express his enthusiasm for the games he loves with a passion.
Add "Nice!" to the game and you're down in 15.
There should be a drinking word for each person at the table. Tom's word is "Sure..."
@@JoseGuerrero-yy4wl For Tom it would be "at the end of the day"
This video is Soooo entertaining, I’ve watched it twice......😅🤷🏻♂️🙈
2:00:52 Winning 30% of the time sounds very good. In Mahjong, which is a four player game, 30% win rate is considered legendary.
Zee caused alot of copies of 51st State to be sold this week, including to me!
Great list Mike! Nice to see "new blood" in these lists. The setup was not optimal, 5 lists at once ...
