the drop chance itself doesn't change but the scanner when upgraded has a chance to give double scans which because how the game works means that it sometimes gives you two codes if it would give you one. You can also upgrade the synthesis scanner's speed. You can get a resource chance booster, resource chance blessing and play on steel path which together gives you a +225% resource chance (I don't know how resource chance works exactly but it works by just multiplying the chance below 100% then this would give 81.25% per kavat) and a resource booster to even further increase your yields resource booster with upgraded scanner is 2.9x codes which combined with the increased resource drop chance (if it works like I think it does) will go up to on average about 9.5x codes

A drop chance booster from login or a sortie drastically increases your odds of getting DNA in scans. I like running the capture with a Rhino and all four vault keys since you might as well grab the corrupted mod while you are at it. Rhino stomp is just another good CC option to make the things super easy to scan and prevent enemies from attacking them while you do it.
Taking a hard Crowd Control warframe: Excal/Sleepynox/Ivara makes scanning *a lot* easier. If scanning as part of a group - the same kavat that gives you gentic code will do so to squad members if they scan the same one. Thus scan then kill if they do not generate code.

Don’t try to farm it. Just play the game regularly and you’ll have enough after a couple days. Getting a Kavat isn’t a life or death thing you need to do in order to progress, so just focus on other things while you stock up on the alloy.

I've never used the scanner from cephalon simaris for these and i'm getting my genetic codes just fine with the codex scanner even if I'm on my 50th-60th kavat scanned. You can still scan kavats even if they're highlighted green and say codex complete.
Something as unintuitive and so opposite of the normal gameplay then scanning enemies, is really shit game design. Despite Warframe being great... this is just utterly dumb.

I’d recommend Ivara, she has invisibility and her sleep arrows can put all enemies including the kavat to sleep making them easier to scan

Problem is the 130k or something alloy you need to craft the kavat incubator.
Even spamming hydron for mastery I have just like 50k.
Yeah ain’t no way you getting this done in a couple of hours. Took me a couple of days to get the alloy alone. And that’s with a resource booster 😂
