It's a Friday in terrible weather, so you see a lot of people coming from the mosque, while Norwegians are mainly inside cooking dinner or on their way home from work. Grønland is about 50% ethnic Norwegian, but apart from having the highest density of immigrants in the country, it also probably has the highest density of LGBT people (flags everywhere most of the year). In general, it's probably the most diverse place in the country (although the majority of ethnic Norwegians in the area probably work in the public or NGO sectors). Several nightclubs and a ridiculously high density of local pubs. And a ton of restaurants in most price categories.
Grønland has the highest density of first and second generation immigrants in Norway, but it's still only about 50%. The immigrant/ethnic Norwegian ratio seems higher than it really is, precisely because it's Friday right after prayer. Norwegians who live in the area tend to live there precisely because they want a more mixed and exciting neighborhood. In addition to the Somali and middle eastern restaurants, I'm sure you also noticed that there's a ton of pubs and clubs in the area. It's a very nice area to live in 😀

Afterall, most of them can barely make a living in their native countries, due, for the most part, to systems set up by the colonizers. People thus think they will have a better life in Europe. May more people get the opportunity to migrate over. One world for all.

This area has the city's second largest concentration of municipal housing. That is the main reason why there are very few ethnic Norwegians who live and stay in the area you have filmed. I myself have an office quite close.

It’s an argument that does not justify what is happening in the West, that is a totally different thing.Yes, Europeans came to Africa, but Africa is still the land of the Africans .So it wasn’t a replacement plan.
By the way, we would enjoy to be “invaded” by people bringing us a bit more of civilisation but this is not what is happening in the West, WE are the civilisation, and i fear that the way it goes now, the civilisation is not really what the immigrant are bringing in the West.

Norwegians are in their homes they are not fond of roaming around they build buetiful homes which they like to stay in and appreciate. rarely will U find them on them on streets....especially during chrismas season, not in the city.
That must be so boring. Just staying indoors. What a life
@@kish_myworld why u hating?
@@kish_myworld Norwegians are of course indoors a lot in the winter, but we are certainly outside too. But we are usually not in the city. Go up into the forest, and you will find the Norwegians. We prefer to be outside in nature. Spending time outdoors is so important to Norwegians that we have our own word for it - "Friluftsliv" is a term in Norway. It means outdoor life, and is about spending time in nature, both during the day and around the clock.

during xmas starting on the 23rd for most, people are at home, decorating the tree, and preparing for the 24th. The 24th is a day where you host a dinner, or are invited away for dinner. you stay there many hours, eat, sing, and open gifts.. not at all boring, and certainly more fun than huddling together under a streetlamp. Some celebrate xmas at their cabin.
25th and 26th, are normally spent visiting people you didnt see on xmas eve, again spending a long time, eating and having a good time together. At this point, some fresh air is welcome.. so we go outside the cities for the most part, and take walks in nature, maybe on skis if there is snow.
Dont put down what you dont understand, please, it does nothing to make sure our peaceful coexistance.

Like 80% of Groruddalen?! Because the social welfare (by "ignorance") pays a lot to Muslims for "Integration" something that is Haram for Muslims. Most Norwegians can not pay the high rent in the city centre. I left my home Oslo 25 years ago and came back 11 years ago. The change has been brutal. We have some schools were there is not one single Norwegian child. i have friends who lived downtown and they had to move cuz the Muslin kids was bullying the Norwegian children. When i came back i saw 2 gay men walking holding hands on Grønland and they were attacked from Somali men who was screaming that they can not be gay there cuz it was haram and it was a Muslim country.

I live in a little town in Ostrobothnia Finland, we have taken in meny immigrants since the 80's to this small citys to keep the population up in this small citys, problem is that meny are Muslims and there is no moske around here, so everyone have moved to Helsinki. I had 3 brothers that went to my school they are all old now and have familys, but they all moved to Helsinki. Meanwhile our own population that is mostly Finnish Swedish speakers have declined. I belive one big reason is becus we took to meny immigrants we could afford, they do get some EU help/Goverment Help with funding, but the resources such as School/Hospitals is limited, and immigrants get priority in this places and the Native people are left behind.
One such place that is very limited is Psychologists, we have alot of people that do not feel well, especially now after Covid meny lost jobs/closed down bussniess/friends familys.
The suicide rate is very high especially amoung young people, and that is our next generation so... yeah idk what to say, it's not the immigrants fault, it's our goverment agenda that seems to be blatantly destroying the Nordic countrys.
The EU countries have become unsafe as well. I would rather stay in China

It's a very nice area to live in 😀
Totally agree
@kish_myworld What can I say: karibu Grønland, kila mtu 😅
They live there because of the high density of municipal housing.
@@tomnormannnilsen2770 It is one reason, but it's not as though all of them (nearly) live there because of that. It's also community and the closeness to amenities (shopping, transport, work, mosques, whatever)
Another RUclipsr thought there were not many people and nothing happening in the place where I live. It was the middle of a hot day, so people were likely inside in air conditioning because that is the smart thing to do. I notice in this video that people are dressed for very cold temperatures. Are most people also inside where they can keep warmer? Of course they are! I also see that this area has the bus terminal. Travellers will be coming out of this area, so expect a mix. I also guess that people are adjusting to restrictions on their lives as well. It is an absolute shame. I look forward to the time when this planet will be free from stand-over merchants.

Answer: For the very same reasons you never find Kenyans in Kenya (Eastleigh)
hehe
Why are they in Norway? I doubt it's because they love Norwegian culture. If you don't love Norwegian way of life, you shouldn't be there.
As long as a person doesn’t cause any trouble, generally they should be able to go wherever they want for whatever reason they want.
@@a.s3523okay, can I get the same opportunity and religious tolerance in their countries? I know the answer.
What exactly prompts this comment?
They want their way of life Afghanistan style or Islamic State.
@@a.s3523 That is not how it is. There are borders and laws to abide by. People can't just travel anywhere they want because they "don't cause any trouble, and should be able to go wherever they want for whatever reason they want".

Hello. White Norwegian here. Thanks to these immigrants, we have access to fruits and vegetables that we could only dream of (or pay through our noses for) in 1970. Come up here and say hello to us, most of us are not dangerous.
You'll find all the blonde heads, Christmas Goblins, Bunader, Lutefisk (urine-marinated fish) and rakorret (rotten trout) and other indigenous stuff up here.
We don't normally go to mosques on Friday (I guess the "Islamization" the racists cried about didn't come to fruition) but we definitely appreciate Gronland with it's bargains and excellent food. You'll find us on a Saturday afternoon.
Lol, lutefisk is NOT urine marinated ( I am guessing you dont like it :D), it is dried, then marinated in lye ( lut) :)
I think it's sad for the people that used to live in these areas for generations... It wasn't an empty vhost town waiting to be filled, every one that lived there before has felt so uncomfortable that they they had to leave their homes.
We have same in UK, try finding a cockney, they don't exist , Londoners had a London accent, try finding a London accent in London, we are a minority in a city of 9 million, again this was not a ghost town, so millions af natives have been pushed out...
