Had the same problem (discoloration on my 2002 Mercedes C230 driver side mirror). I was driving with this discoloration for awhile before it was getting too dangerous. Top half (driver side mirror) was foggy, the lower half yellow. I bought an aftermarket mirror on Amazon ($20, not too bad). Different wire connection, although they said it was for a MB 2002 C230. Your tutorial showed the exact wire connection I needed. Followed your instructions minus the wires connection and it turned out great. Now I have a functioning mirror. Yeah!!!

It's the heating liquid leaking out of your mirror... Look for a small pin sized hole around the dark area also if you push on the mirror in the dark area you will see the fluid moving around... Good video very helpful thank you!

I tryed to push the brown area on my mirror and it look like a liquid.I didn't know that this is heating liquid.Thanks for the info
