The 10 tooth is very tight and needs mod for chain clearance. I use a 11 and even that needs grinding on the keeper. I didn't like the snap ring, The original keeper keeps the sprocket in place very well. The big change is I went to a 42 on the rear. 3.82 to 1 24 mph top speed plenty of power Thanks for the vid.
I've not found lower than a 12. Stock rear though is normally 37 - if you're at 34 you have some more room back there to lower it some more. I bought a 42, but it doesn't quite fit with the bash guard below.
After letting my son ride it a bit, and running it around the yard some myself, I believe its geared low enough. The thing will wind out pretty quick, the 29 MPH it did, the RPMs were topped out. Give my son time enough to get brave on this thing, I may end up hauling him out of the woods one day with a blown up little 110. Point is, its JUST right:)
Put after market CDI and coil kit on it. Cheap units. Makes a huge difference in power and top speed! I'm running stock 14 wanting to go down to 12. But maybe I'll order both 12 and 10. I haven't done a top speed measuring yet. Tomorrow! Thanks for the video.
Whygostock.com has many different 420 and 428 front and rear sprockets for many of the different brands of Chinese made ATVs. Even for the larger 530 sizes.
Well, it will lower your top speed in theory, but increase the acceleration. A lower gear ratio will give you more off the line power, for this ATV it could barley get through rough terrain without bogging down.. the 10 tooth gear took care of that.
Hello I'm wanting to upgrade my performance on my 200cc 2020 Tao Tao,Speed and power, Anyone know the best to start and where to find all the parts online?
A little late here but I swapped a 14t to 12t because like you it was way too fast on the top end with nothing down low. The rear came with a 41t so hopefully it will do the trick. Also the governor is wide open
That should do the trick... I finally opened the governor up some more on this unit once my son had some ride time in. Trying to keep him from getting to out of hand too fast :)

Thanks for the video. I recently bought my 7yr old a used 125cc and also thought it goes way too fast for him. Mine is a 13t front sprocket stock. How many teeth do you think I should go with for better low end? Also I feel like in forward if I apply throttle it doesn’t grab instantly but In reverse it grabs instant. Is that normal?
The 10 tooth i went with is about as small a gear as I think you can get away with, if you can find one that what I would probably go with. As far as the forward / reverse issue. It doesn’t sound normal, but with these little Chinese quads it’s hard to say how they have them setup.. could be an entirely different set of clutch packs… the one we have dose not have reverse so I haven’t had the pleasure figuring that one out.
@@Yellowdogsworld I think I’ll go with the 10t then. Is that retaining clip holding up well? Just don’t want it having any chance of coming off since it’s no longer using the bolts.
@@Yellowdogsworld put the 10t sprocket on today and had to cut a link off the chain but I can’t for the life of me put the snap ring on. I guess I’ll finally invest in a snap ring tool because even if I only use it a handful of times, the frustration alone isn’t worth it. 😆
Thanks for the video it was really helpful! I'll do the 10t sprocket swap on my identical quad as yours also what's the gas mileage on the quad on a full tank and what's the fuel tank capacity thanks in regards
I haven't paid much attention as to how far it gets on a tank, its not too bad though for a kids ATV.. I think the tank holds about a gallon to 3/4 of a gallon.. its not much to be honest.. but it gets the job done.
bro, I want to ask, I just bought an ATV 125. When I tried it, sorry, when I was walking, I walked to the right / pulled over, right? until it hit a trash can. It's also really moving, not stable, even though my steering position feels straight, 2. It feels like I'm going to turn really hard, maybe because of the big tires? 3. Please provide tips for getting used to using an ATV
The other reason for doing this was to give the ATV better low end power... prior to the gear reduction, it would get stuck just trying to push through a little bit of mud.
@@Yellowdogsworld does your chain rub the case? I got the sprocket in the link you provided. I used two washers to keep the chain in line with the rear sprocket.
HOLY smokes! From a 110cc!? The Chinese are really perfecting these Honda clone 4 strokes these days!
Nice job! Sub'd
Ive got a 50cc that does 32 and my 90cc does 30mph
Adjust the throttle limiter.
Just got my 10 tooth in the mail. I’m sure the lil one is going to love the power
I'm sure they will, it makes a real difference in the "get it going" department :)
And I just turned the throttle screw in.

I also removed the entire choke from the carb. Removed flapper and shaft.
That was my first atv
Wow that's fast for that 110
I agree... it was geared way to high for a kid... But its good to go now :)
Very good info
Thanks 😊
Is there a way I can make the gear changes on my current Chinese engine smoother??

I checked out your site as well, but could not find the 10 tooth like the one I installed in this video.

We carry many other options as well. Great video too!
So a smaller sprocket makes it go faster right?
