So glad I found your channel! I believe we have a similar style in our enjoyment of books!! Your reviews are paced so perfectly with just enough info and I always love the “why” you are drawn to a book! So happy to subscribe and get insight into some books on my radar and even some that have not been but are now!! Enjoy the rest of your bookish summer!!
Urgh, i want to read so many form your top ten! The only one I've tried is Cinema Love which didn't work for me (I'm not a fan of ghosts in the non-spooky sense) so I dnf'd it. I have Tne Safekeep out from the library atm and ordered Housemates from the US a few days ago. I'm thinking of giving Sandwich, Margo's Got Money Troubles, The Coast Road and James a go on audio because I like the narrators. The rest I've downloaded a kindle sample of. A few of these I've only heard of from your channel so thanks for the great recommendations :)
Hey there! As I think I shared earlier, I am currently reading The Road to the Country, and I am really liking it! I will say that I typically steer away from books that make me work, hence your comment regarding using Google on this while reading. But, it is so good and I am gaining a new friendship with Google and a new education of a culture/war I knew very little about! As a side point, I want to thank you again for your content! You do such an amazing job, and you showcase books that I actually want to read! “If Brett says it’s good, it’s gotta be great!” Thank you, and happy reading! 📚

I am half through Margo based on your rec. Sooooo good!
@@chambersstevens3135 isn’t it? It should be a great series
I’m coming out of lurking mode to subscribe and thank you for recommending “The Coast Road.” It’s my top read of 2024, so far.
Hah hah. Thanks for coming out and saying hi MJ! And so glad you enjoyed it!!
No Road Home is a title I wasn't aware of but wow it sounds good!
With “Wolf at the Table “, we followed all of the characters through their entire lives… It’s a shame that the story ended so abruptly!
