Glad to see you throwing the pyro, as a beginner I’ve had a lot of luck with it and the pig as my reliable overstable options. I have a zone as well, but cannot seem to throw it unless there’s a 30 mph headwind.
That branch at the end was OP, not much to be done about it. Fun video despite all that. You made me want a pyro though and of course they seem to be hard to get ahold of right now
The Entropy is more overstable than my Z Zones but just way too deep for me. The Pyro is my go to overstable mid and longer Zone like slot. Also my Pyro looks identical to the one you have, hot pink plate and orange prism rim.
Keep doing your thing, Big Nate. Love the videos. I'm going to be a nerd, I think when you do these videos where you are comparing to something that is in your bag, that should be your control variable. You should throw that disc first. Throwing it last with all that information would hopefully lead to a much better shot.
Try one of the waist worn hand muffs like football players use; toss a couple chemical handwarmers in and you'll be set. That's what we do in Wisconsin.
c-line md5 for me. actually changed out my pyro with it haha. i loved the flight of the pyro but i never came to terms with the feel of it. the md5 flew nearly identical but felt better, and both my first and second ace was with that exact disc!!
The tempo was a pretty sweet disc during my circuit challenge, but yes, I agree it's a bit too straight. my Prism proton pyro is pretty damn beefy for those super overstable shots. Always relying on my Crystal FLX Zone and Champion Toros :D
I'm with you. Tempo needs a bit more stability, Entropy is a bit too thick/deep so it hangs up on release too often, Pyro is a bit too fast and I tend to push it too far past the basket. Deflector is close, but I settled on the A2 because it feels better in my hand and I seem to get way more consistent releases with it. I bag both the A2 and the Pyro right now, but I'm starting to think they're close enough that I might not need the Pyro.
I have tried all of those but the Tempo. The Pyro and A2 are my favorites. I generally bag the pyro just because I like the look of them more. They have solid stability and feel good forehand and backhand. In the winter though I would probably use my A2 because the plastic of 400 seems tackier.
I bag a bit of everything (MVP, Gateway, DD, Innova, Clash, Discmania, Westside, Discraft) and I still haven't found a better approach disc than a Discmania Mutant. It doesn't have the distance ( I switch to a Clash Mango for anything over 250 feet), but I know its always going right on a forehand approach. Would love to see you try it out!
So yeah as another person with a mixed bag, I bag a origin/midnight prowl 2, a fission hex, lizzotle, and a prism pyro... However the Supreme emac truth is sick and might knock something out .. over stable wise though I would recommend trying the Supreme Fugitive and an MD5. Yeah disc golfing in the snow sucks lol good luck
Told you the Pyro is money. It doesn't matter which plastic you use, it is always reliable. That last hole would have been perfect for a Resistor. You would have not hit the branches.
Man I tried to bag the entropy multiple times over the tactic and it just doesn't hold it in the wind IMO, I ended up losing my tactic o 2.5 years and now bag a kastaplast yarn it's hands down the best just saying
Is the Tempo close to an A5? I love that spot that is a faster Berg. Entropy is great for more overstability but i’m looking forward to the release of the Tempo!
Maaaaaybe if we’re talking forehands. But the entropy on a back flips to flat, rides straight, and finishes. A5 tends to have a little turn to it for me
Looks like the cold air is killing the flight of your discs a little. Entropy is my favourite specialist disc for the slot because of the low glide. Zone is nice overall and bombs on an open course, but the higher glide makes it just a tad less consistent in the short approach role. Pyro is kind of the same, useful and reliable for a wide variety of shots and it often does Entropy's duties when I want to carry less discs, but not THE perfect disc for short flicks. I think Entropy will stable up a little once the temps go up into teens.
I'm glad you can keep track of all those scores, no way I could without an app... surely there has to be a mobile app developer that can whip up an iphone app. I hope you're right about a new Eagle disc. ngl, the ice break made me twitch. Get warm, grab a hot herbal tea, see you when it thaws.
I know it’s not mvp, but if you haven’t tried an MD5 they’re absolutely nasty forehand or backhand, def have some fight to them, would highly recommend 🔥
Mutant is even more OS I believe. Justice/Deflector type flex monster. Then there's like a million different reptiles from Innova which all do a pretty similar thing. My favourite variant is the small bead Big Jerm Mortar, it feels a little slower and straighter than your typical Gator and the plastics are great. But in typical Millennium style, the runs stopped coming so I had to replace it with something else😁
SHOVEL THE TEEPADS before anyone throws on them! Anyone can get chew'd out in Minnesota if someone catches them throwing on fresh snow teepads without shoveling them first. The footprints turn to ice and then ya can't clean them properly. 🤓
You guys are right…again. Pyro is naaassty
We told you 😂😂😂😂🤟🏻🤝🏻
Nate: I will not play until the snow is melted see y’all tomorrow…
Me: rad.
Pyro feels a little different but I got used to it pretty quick. Just keep in mind that disc SKIPS like crazy!!! Prolly cannot tell in the snow haha
Brobot, a seasoned pyro(they glide) and a newer one in the bag at all times is a must mang.
You have to get a 400 glimmer A2 they are next level
I low key love the “is this ice solid” series within a series that we’re secretly getting out of this recent content lol.
Ice 2
Nate’s foot 0

If you want more beef, try the deflector, if you want a disc to fight out, this disc doesnt know how to turn
The pyro bridges the gap from zone to sexton firebird so well
That branch at the end was OP, not much to be done about it. Fun video despite all that. You made me want a pyro though and of course they seem to be hard to get ahold of right now

Now…if MVP would do another run of prism proton pyros I’d be real happy!

Proton pyro is so good. and if you want a straighter one the neutron ones are very straight but have late over stability
I wasn’t sure at first, but you know what I like this guy! 😂
Try the Streamline Runway!
Try one of the waist worn hand muffs like football players use; toss a couple chemical handwarmers in and you'll be set. That's what we do in Wisconsin.
Got my first ace with a pyro. It’s never leaving the bag
c-line md5 for me. actually changed out my pyro with it haha. i loved the flight of the pyro but i never came to terms with the feel of it. the md5 flew nearly identical but felt better, and both my first and second ace was with that exact disc!!

Aww needed the deflector and runway for ultimate beef
Thanks for the commitment to us… the cold is snow joke 😏 🥶
Respect to you for playing in the snow.

I’ll try and do a mutant video soon!

I think the Pyro is pretty slept on
Entropy all day everyday.
Told you the Pyro is money. It doesn't matter which plastic you use, it is always reliable. That last hole would have been perfect for a Resistor. You would have not hit the branches.
Forgot the stabilizer from streamline
The ice is always solid, never hesitate.
Try the deflector as an overstable approach. Beefier than the Pyro, and less glide which I find makes it great for approaches.
Man I tried to bag the entropy multiple times over the tactic and it just doesn't hold it in the wind IMO, I ended up losing my tactic o 2.5 years and now bag a kastaplast yarn it's hands down the best just saying
A deflector is gonna be closest thing to A2 from mvp just a tad bit faster
Out of my hand, the Deflector is closest to the A2
Is the Tempo close to an A5? I love that spot that is a faster Berg. Entropy is great for more overstability but i’m looking forward to the release of the Tempo!

When you going to try out a defy??
Keep the tempo content coming. I got one expecting a zone replacement, def not as stable. Kinda like a zone ss
Great disc takes the torque well
I feel like the pyro is a good compliment to the a2.
@@edwardfournier3398 A2 is slower and more overstable? Curious about the difference of those 2..
Dang, it's been negatives here for a week and next week it's going to be *30*. I'd be down for 60's lmao.
Its actually 5 P’s.
MVP Pyro Prism Proton Plastic
Ace Run City!
Friend of mine bags a pyro and used the heck out of it in our last battle. Amazing disc

Cold definitely played a part for sure!
I’ll give the entropy another shot soon!

You didn't need a Pyro, you needed a hand warmer!
Hahahahaha trueeeee
Kinda unfair that a shanked shot punishes the disc, but I get it.
Did you already give away the other tempo?
Announcing winner tomorrow on insta!
I know it’s not mvp, but if you haven’t tried an MD5 they’re absolutely nasty forehand or backhand, def have some fight to them, would highly recommend 🔥

chill
Honestly nothing feels as good in the hand as the A2. One disc I’ll never take out of my bag.
Streamline Stabilizer is what you’re looking for.
Absolutely Love my π ro!
Someone bring a dang shovel out and clean those tee pads please!!!!
The clash disc mango…
I want Pyro now
Mint Bobcat 5/4/0/2.5
Resister is the best MVP overstable mid for forehand
Maybe another stab at the video with those discs when it’s not snowy!
Pyro Pubed😂😂
It might be time for a new A2 😅
Yup
Nate you need to buy some CLOTHES! 😄 And maybe a balaclava😉
You might be onto something 🤔
@@NateTurner Google "hooja" and you get an idea what you need 😋
Deflector better than all of these
