I don’t know why, but this was very emotional to watch. It’s like I could feel my own personal playthrough of the game all over again. A whole other layer of the game is being felt in a way. Amazing work!

I would say it's more talking about the devil is after THK and the radience, maybe the devil being talked about is the shade Lord :) it feels like THK Is saying 'The devils after me and her!' Very well done timing

It’s such a cool detail that at 1:04 the song says “like an elegy” with a scene of quirrel remembering monomon. Monomon was the one who wrote the elegy for hallownest. Just a neat little detail.
I've watched it so many times already. The MAP turned out great and being there as a backup was fun even if I didn't get to animate anything in the end. Thanks for organising the whole event :)

The true Hollow Knight had to be chosen not by any being, but by fate itself.
2 things: 1, all of the hornet action sequences were absolutely beautiful and 2, the shot where the dream nail lights up at 3:20 is awesome. Everyone else did great too, but wow I was blown away there.

I love how when hornet is mourning the death of her mom this line plays: “there’s still cobwebs in the corner” phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal great work all of you
3:09 was one of the best animated sections not for style, but for the power that it created in THK’s overhead strike with The Radiance in the background, showing, well, “power.” Since The Radiance has a tight control over THK because it was the vessel meant to stop her, and it ultimately failed. This shot really shows that this is the thing in your way that’s stopping you from beating the infection and saving Hallownest once and for all.
3:10 I love this part and everything after it, all of it looks so fluid, like hornet jumping in, (with the smoothest freakin animation I’ve ever seen) and the knight jumping around the radiance and the shade lord closing in on the radiance and the sudden sad cut to the knight and the EVERYTHING it looks SO good and and I also liked the part before it And the others before it too, And everything in this map, EVEN THE END CREDIT ANIMATIONS ARE GREAT ANd ADORABLE
Every animator did such and amazing job, but one thing that I absolutely love is @3:38 where you can actually see the Broken Vessel/Lost Kin’s shade on the far left

I feel like this is so good that I should individually comment on each part, so here we go: 0:00 First off, amazing job hosting the map! I've never heard this song but it goes incredibly well with Hollow Knight. I love how detailed the rocky background is while the vessel walks by! That must've taken forever. Also cute little motion when they tilt their head up! 0:12 I love how the background changes so smoothly! I'm also a big fan of the flying upward animation with the trail! 0:22 Absolutely adorable depiction of the vessel!! The little jump is so cute!!! Also the jump into the well was extremely well executed! I have no idea how you pulled off the movements from that angle, so I'm very impressed. 0:32 PIXEL ART!!!! I feel like seeing pixel animation is so rare on maps, and this specific one was done incredibly well! The lighting really made the entire scene for me! The orange glow on the chains was such a cool touch. Also how the infection times with the music at the end was so smart!! (I'll have to keep going at this in a bit lol. I will get to every part though!!!)
I love how you incorporated the knight's journey chronologically, really makes this feel like the finale of a series, recapping everything that happened during the final battle
The flashbacks during the Radiance fight of the baby Hollow Knight on its way out of the Abyss looking back at the Knight, and the full grown Hollow Knight kneeling to the King are emotionally shattering.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. Ok so first of all, the quality of this animation is really great, I love it. Secondly, oh my god this is such an insane way to commemorate the anniversary. Third, everyone was so amazing, but Salty and Megateyourbagel and Hawper absolutely slaughtered that climax! Fourth, Kandy, I absolutely loved the grimm scene! Fifth, Puggy oh my god you gave so much emotion to quirrel, it really reminded me of the true tragedy hollow nest really was stuck in, it was so perfect! Everyone did such a perfect and beautiful job here!!! This truly is the most beautiful commemoration of this event I could have even imagined! good job everyone!

It's crazy to see content that uses The Crane Wives songs, let alone is based around them! This is incredibly stunning, and I'm so thankful I got the chance to see it. Everyone did a wonderful job, needless to say I'm going to be checking out these animators!

Im going to ramble here but I don't care It really nice to see a MAP of hollow knight. The animators did such a good job too! This game is so important to me and it's only been a year since I've got it, but this game has changed me a lot, I honestly can't explain how much hk means to me. I meant so many nice people and had awesome memories during my first playthrough. Hk will forever be my favorite game, happy birthday hollow knight, you can officially go to kindergarten

This video truly is a masterpiece. The fact that so many animators gathered and offered such different art styles really reinforces the fact that the HK community is MASSIVE. The video shows everything that is important in the Dream No More run, brings so many memories back. And who would have thought that such a groovy music (which is an absolute banger) would so perfectly fit to reinforce the lore, the dynamism and the action of the game? As someone who loves Hollow Knight so very much, this animation leaves me speechless. Able to capsulate the entire game from beginning to end in about 5 minutes is simply incredible. Having multiple animators work on it as well with each unique art style makes it feel truly alive and made with love. Hats off to you all. (Maybe a Silk Song animation once that comes out would be a perfect sequel!) -Waffleking
This is it. it shows that the ghost "The character you play" was perfect for this. A being made of void and a cost. No emotions, no attachments, only an objective.
THE TRANSITIONS ARE SO FLUID AND THE PERSPECTIVE IS SUPERB 😭😭😭 absolutely beautiful sequencing to telling the full story of knight. The parallels are incredible too 😭😭

In case u don’t know, that is a husk with unique dreamnail dialogue implying they were some sort of butler who was set to watch over Lurian as he dreamed and did so diligently until being infected

0:32 PIXEL ART!!!! I feel like seeing pixel animation is so rare on maps, and this specific one was done incredibly well! The lighting really made the entire scene for me! The orange glow on the chains was such a cool touch. Also how the infection times with the music at the end was so smart!!

I love how you incorporated the knight's journey chronologically, really makes this feel like the finale of a series, recapping everything that happened during the final battle
The flashbacks during the Radiance fight of the baby Hollow Knight on its way out of the Abyss looking back at the Knight, and the full grown Hollow Knight kneeling to the King are emotionally shattering.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN. Ok so first of all, the quality of this animation is really great, I love it. Secondly, oh my god this is such an insane way to commemorate the anniversary. Third, everyone was so amazing, but Salty and Megateyourbagel and Hawper absolutely slaughtered that climax! Fourth, Kandy, I absolutely loved the grimm scene! Fifth, Puggy oh my god you gave so much emotion to quirrel, it really reminded me of the true tragedy hollow nest really was stuck in, it was so perfect! Everyone did such a perfect and beautiful job here!!! This truly is the most beautiful commemoration of this event I could have even imagined! good job everyone!

It really nice to see a MAP of hollow knight. The animators did such a good job too! This game is so important to me and it's only been a year since I've got it, but this game has changed me a lot, I honestly can't explain how much hk means to me. I meant so many nice people and had awesome memories during my first playthrough. Hk will forever be my favorite game, happy birthday hollow knight, you can officially go to kindergarten

This video truly is a masterpiece. The fact that so many animators gathered and offered such different art styles really reinforces the fact that the HK community is MASSIVE. The video shows everything that is important in the Dream No More run, brings so many memories back.
And who would have thought that such a groovy music (which is an absolute banger) would so perfectly fit to reinforce the lore, the dynamism and the action of the game? It's a great idea

As someone who loves Hollow Knight so very much, this animation leaves me speechless. Able to capsulate the entire game from beginning to end in about 5 minutes is simply incredible. Having multiple animators work on it as well with each unique art style makes it feel truly alive and made with love. Hats off to you all. (Maybe a Silk Song animation once that comes out would be a perfect sequel!)

In case u don’t know, that is a husk with unique dreamnail dialogue implying they were some sort of butler who was set to watch over Lurian as he dreamed and did so diligently until being infected
