thank you!!! I'm dating a man who speaks the language and am trying to learn. I can't wait to surprise him with the phrases I'm learning. you do an amazing job helping with pronunciation.
This just saved my life!! Thank you for this! If you're Eritrean Happy 27 years of Independence!! I actually came here to learn how to say that phrase to the love of my life but ended up learning much more lol! 4 years later and this video still holds so much value!! Thanks again!! My favorite phrase to learn was Yefkrekiye/"I love you". It was hard to hear how you were pronouncing it bc you only said it in the Female form twice but I kept looping it about 70 times till I got it down (i think lol) To God be the Glory!! Glory to Christ Jesus! Shalom!
I spoke Tigrinya until I was 18, after I left Asmara I did not find anyone to speak it with, so I totally lost it. But I can write it! Our teacher was very good! I will be exercising with you and hopefully I will get some of it back! Thank you!
Thank you so much! i am arabic and in my field i work with eritrean refugees. I was suprised how much there is in common and wish to learn Tigrinya. Thank you for this teaching! Keep up the good work!
🇪🇷🔥 I’m Somalian but never been to Somalia 🇸🇴 I was born in Asmara Eritrea and I love it so much I can’t even speak somali except tikrinya learning Somali but I love my both country’s 🇪🇷🇸🇴😭❤️
TY for making these AND for breaking down the pronunciation. I work in a community clinic and a large portion of the patients are speak Somali and Tigrinya and Spanish. There are several spanish speakers but I want to be able to surprise my brothers and sisters when they come in and greet them in their native tongue. Thank you, thank you thank you. Favorite phrase...salamt? I would love to learn to speak fluently. Keep up the good work
Her Tigrigna accent is bad. Tigrigna is a throat language. It is very difficult. She was born in Amharic speaking part of Ethiopia. Amharic is more straight forward.
I work in a dental office & we recently had a patient who was a refugee from Eritrea and spoke Tigrinya. She'd only been in the United States 2 wks and didn't speak any English. She needed 2 teeth pulled and it was very hard to communicate to ask her simple questions about her birthdate, any medical conditions, allergies to medications or if she was numb so we could start the procedure. A few simple phrases along these lines would be very helpful as we will probably be seeing her and her little boys soon in our office again.
This may not be related to learning language, but i just got to say your speaking voice is amazingly relaxing! Especially on the start and when you talk more silently :)
This fall I am going to teach our language (Norwegian) to a group of newly arrived Eritrean immigrants. Knowing a few words in Tigrinya will probably help me in this task. I think you do a very good job with these videos. If you want a suggestion about how to proceed, I would appreciate a couple of videos with the commonest verbs and prepositions.
Thank you so much for your videos. I started learning amharic in 2005 but after 08 lost contact with the person who taut me. My wonderful ehite and now I'm in search of more habesha friends to continue learning both amharic and tigrinya
