The older version was published in a record in 1960s in which he sings "geryeha kon", but here he sings "geryeh makon". He soon left for Armenia and then moved to California after several years. Probably, the songwriter is Parviz Vakily (?), and perhaps the melody was composed was made by Varoojan, Soren, or Zaven, or. I bought the record in 1347, but I do not remember the details. Vigen told me in 1990, in an unpublished interview in Miami that he pushed and encouraged Artoosh to sing. With only this memorable romantic-melancholic song he will be remembered for ever. If somebody knows more, he or she can she it with us. Artoosh himself can tell us from Los Angeles too.
یکی از آثار بینظیر استاد پرویزمقصدی آهنگساز وموسیقدان بیهمتا ونابغه تکرار نشدنی موسیقی معاصر ایران که آهنگهاش مثه سمفونیه واحتیاج به خواننده نداره هرکس آهنگهاشو میخوند معروف میشد روحش شاد یادش گرامی 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Makes me feel a sweet taste in my mouth... in an orange late afternoon... with a smell of cloves and children's laughter and someone's white laundry in the wind. I wish I spoke the language.
درود هم وطن عزیزم. امیدوارم که حالت خوب باشه. ممنون و بسیار زیبا و جذاب و دلنشین بود و هست و خواهد بود این آهنگ و صدای زیبا. همیشه شاد و سلامت باشی هم وطن عزیز. خیلی لذت بردم. Very nice 👍👍👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤❤❤
Here's a rough translation: آسمان چشم او آیینه کیست آنکه چون آیینه با من روبرو بود --> the sky of her eyes is whose mirror? One that was once a mirror in front of me (meaning: who does she belong to now? when once she belonged to me) درد و نفرین بر سفر باد ، سرنوشت این جدایی دست او بود --> pain and curse, pain and curse on that voyage, the destiny of this separation was in the hands of that voyage. گریه مکن که سرنوشت گر مرا از تو جدا کرد --> Don't cry if destiny has separated me from you. عاقبت دلهای ما را با غم هم آشنا کرد --> fate has familiarized us with each other's sorrow. چهره اش آیینه کیست آنکه با من روبرو بود --> her face is whose mirror? One that was once in front of me. درد و نفرین بر سفر باد ،این گناه از دست او بود --> pain and curse, pain and curse on that voyage, this sin was committed by that voyage, this sin was committed by that voyage. ای شکسته خاطر من ، روزگارت شادمان باد --> You, my broken memories ( referring to her), have a happy life. ای درخت پرگل من ، نوبهارت ارغوان باد --> you my florid tree, may your new spring be purple ( other than meaning purple, “ارغوان “ is also a purple flower that grows in early spring) ای دلت خورشید خندان سینه تاریک من سنگ قبر آرزو بود --> may your heart be the laughing sun while my dark chest was the tombstone of wishes/dreams, the tombstone of dreams. آنچه کردی با دل من قصه سنگ و سبو بود --> what you did with my heart was the story of the stone and the pot. (The stone and the pot symbolizes all the things that are mortal and come to an end) من گلی پژمرده بودم ، گر تو را صد رنگ و بو بود --> I was a withered flower while there was hundred scents and colors to you. ای دلت خورشید خندان سینه تاریک من سنگ قبر آرزو بود --> may your heart be the laughing sun while my dark chest was the tombstone of wishes/dreams, the tombstone of dreams. ای شکسته خاطر من ، روزگارت شادمان باد --> You, my broken memories ( referring to her), have a happy life. ای درخت پرگل من ، نوبهارت ارغوان باد --> you my florid tree, may your new spring be purple ای دلت خورشید خندان سینه تاریک من سنگ قبر آرزو بود --> may your heart be the laughing sun while my dark chest was the tombstone of wishes/dreams, the tombstone of dreams, the tombstone of dreams, the tombstone of dreams…
Nastaran Moarefi Thank you! It was very nice of you to give your time and effort to translating this song. It was the melody that attracted me, and now the words give it more depth and meaning. Thanks again!
@@nastaranmoarefi9438 kheyli mamnoon for the translation, I catch the odd word but my Farsi isn't great yet, I'll get there. I love this song especially this version but Google translate doesn't tell me anything right in Farsi so again mamnoon and happy Nowruz
