We buy the heirloom so you don't have to. This event is VERY pricey and not gonna lie definitely took a hit. I doubt this video will break even, but hopefully seeing the animations is enough and you can save your money.
Will showcase this heirloom on Wattson but will try other legends to see if it has any unique interactions.

The deathbox is the most unspeakbaly horrorable cosmetic I've ever seen for it's cost. There is a part inside of me that is speechless but also angry to the point of exploding every time I see it.....

Its ridiculously overpriced, but not a “scam”. If you thought you were going to get it without opening all 36 packs, then you didn’t think very hard at all. Every single collection is designed this same way. You open all of the items, and then get the heirloom last. I’m baffled how people didn’t realize it was going to be like this…
@@devino1337 it's not a normal collection event because the sword isn't the reward for getting everything else. the sword should be able to drop like a normal cosmetic. it's supposed to have a 1/36 chance, then 1/35 chance, etc.
No the chance is less than 1% for every pack you open until the 36th @@HyperKudos
@@devino1337 no you know exactly why, because respawn is greedy and manipulative and continues to give newer players the impression they can get some desirable cosmetic without spending a ridiculous amount of money if they just “get lucky”
People really need to stop supporting “free” games because they’re just become disgusting ways to exploit gamers for money. Back during Halo 3, everyone payed $60 and the unique cosmetics were unlockable, sams goes for many other AAA games. The new generations and their parents credit cards are what’s allowed game devs to become greedy and selfish and the community complains but refuses to stop playing. If you want change, uninstall the game like I did months ago. Stop supporting greedy devs.

It doesnt block your screen as much tho unlike pathfinder heirloom which blocks almost all of half of the bottom of your screen.

jokes aside, from a buisness perspective it makes sense that they don't make it too good. Otherwise new players would just buy this one instead of buying one for each Legend...
The heirloom finishers they added was a good counter to this tho
Every person is surprised they get it at 36 packs, its pretty obvious everyone will unlock it at 36 packs with its less than 1% chance imo. I wouldnt expect to get it free either, thats a myth.
the only reason they added the odds to get it in each pack is so people can gamble, and they know gambling is addictive

Yeah I really don’t understand how people thought they were going to get it before the 36th pack. It’s the same as every other collection event, you open all of the items first and then get the heirloom last.
My buddy bought the 4 pack deal and got it on the first pack. It’s def possible but not probable

the likelihood that Newcastle gets a sword is super high but the chances it's this boring are slim to none I'd guess.
almost all the legend heirlooms have more animations (and the ones they do have are more personalized).

I might sound crazy but i think thats its actually nice for people who really want a heirloom, but dont want to spend money on everyone one of them. If you play a lot of legends, you will always have a heirloom and wont need to buy any again

You will get bored of this mid tier heirloom with a few animations real fast, but you won't get your money back.

@@devino1337but they advertised it as “random chance” to get it out of any pack, which is technically true, but that chance is 1%, so unless you get insanely lucky you have to buy the whole event, as you can see in the event menu.

Everyone is complaining about the Price But i think its not that overpriced because every heirloom costs like 160$ but this one costs like 300$ and its an Heirloom for every legend, if you would buy a heirloom for every character you Play it would be way more expensive and you have an heirloom for Character who dont have a heirloom. Regardless of that 160$ and 300$ Are both too much for something in a videogame.

This heirloom looks really good with Vlakyrie's Air Show skin with the entire color scheme matching.
I don't like that the heirloom ruins the running animations of the characters. Each character's running animation is very important to their silhouette for easy identification regardless of distance
Hopefully nobody spends money on this event.

Has anyone else on PS5 not even been given an option to update to this new event. It keeps saying i have the latest version but i clearly dont and cant play with any of my friends. I restarted the system and nothing, deleted and redownloaded but again nothing. Any ideas?

This event is atrocious and the price is worse i see bringing in 3rd parties is a cool add ie skins ect but £400 is going backwards not forward with what people want,we want more affordability in these times not more financial strain.

Unlucky? Not at all. You had a less than 1% chance to get it in earlier packs. It said so right on the buy screen.

They could have done So Much More! It’s just a normal inspection animation! A better idea would have been if the characters inserted materia, and inspect again to take them off. Youd think there would be more animations especially the kicking the door, you mean to tell me they added a giant sword, and you couldn't even add an animation smashing the door in. This is an absolutely ridiculous cash grab by EA! It's kind of what we"ve came to expect nowadays. Thanks again for the video!
The Heirloom shit is so dumb for apex.
The buster sword is such a fun weapon to use as an actual weapon in the LTM mode, they definitely should add Melee weapons, not as strong obviously, but with the dash, block and added Melee damage. It adds so much more to the weapon pool and makes the game WAY more fun.
And imagine if they had done that with Heirlooms from the start, having most of them as awesome ground loot would have been so much more fun.
And obviously it never made sense to carry a knife and not do more damage with melee.
"Heirlooms" should have instead been things that add awesome effects to your characters attacks overall.
Or give their skins some cool elemental visual effects etc. Just something that would really make their skins stand out instead of just a tiny Melee weapon.
Or alter the appearance of each legends Ultimate gear, weapons, etc.
To give them a WAY cooler look.
Or change their usual gear appearance like the caustic barrels etc.
This actually would have made me WAY more interested to buy heirlooms 🤩
Imagine getting cooler skins for your Rampart walls, or Barrels, or the Fuse cannon, turret, drone etc!

Based on probability the vast majority of people will have your same situation. This is an overpriced $300 cosmetic, plain and simple.
I love Apex, and FFVII is one of my all time favorite games but I’m not buying this.

we can only get the heirloom and it's UNIVERSAL! for the first time ever they make, it have great effect on it... u can use on all operator u wanted, all operator u like, but it's cost only got the heirloom not even banner animation or emote, the inspect was just a few, no unique move or something... with that lot of money? heirloom for all legend? i think it's worth it... u didn't have to grind more heirloom for the other's, that's the plus point.. don't mind about the minus point, about u regret on spending on it? life is just a game, let thing that already happen and move on... that's make it more better.
If these cosmetics are this expensive, it's because people buy this crap. My wife's cousin back in the day bought probably $300 worth of cosmetics on Apex. I wished he had bought more games like I did in my childhood

Single worst apex event ever. Costs 540 dollars for a shit heirloom that blocks 1/4 of your screen and it looks like ass, has terrible boring animations and very cheap sounding audio fx. It's so bad.

Pretty amazing concept beeing an universal heirloom, that you can use it on every legend. I have all heirlooms, but some legends still dont have any.

If you look closely to the 3rd. person animations it looks exactly like the melee attacks from Ash´s sword, man i really think it looks cool but it´s just not worth it.
