Can you do an analysis on Meowscarada PvP IVs? Like what to build. Yes low attack high everything else is common but are there any exceptions to build like Annihilape did???
@sharklos Um, I pretty much already explained why??? Sorry Incase It was confusing. You see community days are a chance to get a legacy move which more often than not makes the mon more viable especially with starters. Meowscarada is a starter Pokemon from Paldea so it gets Frenzy plant on community day which has great DPE (Damage per Energy). So you most often need the move on the Pokemon and build atleast one for all the leagues. Pokemon go often buffs and nerfs moves changing the meta mons (most effective tactic available). So better have them built. Now Pokemon have something called IVs. Individual values which are *often* different for every mon you catch which affects it's CP (Combat Power). And since Great and Ultra Leagues have CP caps, (1500&2500 respectively) IVs do matter for final stats of your mon even if it's under the CP cap. Generally you want to be running low attack high defence high stamina IVs to get more bulk and reach a higher stat product. For example a 15/15/15 Azumarill will reach level 36 compared to 45.5 level if you have 0/15/15 IVs. It will be Significantly bulkier and tank more hits and get to more charged moves. Yes it's attack gets lowered from 97 I believe to 91 or so but the longevity allows it to perform better. However sometimes having a higher Attack stat (hitting a certain benchmark IV) is optimal for one or two matchups. There's two reasons for this; CMP tie and Fast attack Breakpoints (these concepts are elementary so won't explain them, I feel it's obvious what they are). For example Ariados needs higher Attack to win CMP against Feraligatr. Cuz duh. Malamar needs high attack to get Psywave breakpoint against Toxapex. So many more examples include Shadow Sableye, Annhilape, Goodra(once upon a time, now better to run pvp IVs). Anyway since community days occur one time (and again in this and next year's December for a combined comm weekend) there's a small window to get the moves on the mon with IVs you want. If you get to know later that you should have built one with these IVs too for this particular matchup it's too late as you have to wait a long time to get a chance again. Unless you have a lot of Elite Charged TMs and are impatient enough to use them on a comm day mon 😶 this game requires a lot of patience. Anyway that's exactly why I was asking Henry if he could do an analysis on Meowscarada pvp IVs. Yea dawg, i agree. have so many regrets about mah ape. when I got to know need one with high attack for some matchups. Was gonna build 1 december community day but stuff went down couldn't play. mons like ariados and malamar can be built anytime but some mons like these comm day/ expensive to build ones like shadow sableye, you ought to know what best to build. Whenever I run into Shadow Feraligatr I cry, because I know it’s an immediate loss. Multiple times I’ve just quit before the match begins.
