I do enjoy your videos and your comments. I must correct you on one thing St. Martin's Church was built in 1873 and not centuries and centuries ago.

I lived over a (now demolished) pub named The Royal George aka Mary Dunleavys, for a couple of years in the mid 1990s, which was opposite St. Martins church.
Prior to the redevelopment of the Bull Ring area, the church was covered in black pollution and there had been a long standing appeal to obtain funds to clean it up. Not much was raised but thankfully the redevelopment included a full restoration of the church exterior to the fantastic condition it is in today. I agree it is a beautiful building. Cool video 👍

@ I was in the choir at St Albans in Conybere street Highgate. The Organist and choir master was Roy Massy who became MBE. He has been organist at many cathedrals around the Uk.

Beorma: Wikipedia - The name most commonly given to the circa 7th century Anglo-Saxon founder or later leader of the settlement now known as the English city of Birmingham. The name Birmingham comes from the Old English Beormingahām, which translates to "the home or settlement of the Beormingas.

Smithfield was the Birmingham Wholesale Markets built in the 1970s, and demolished before the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The Bull Ring Markets, Indoor and Rag Markets, the current buildings date to the early 2000s. Was all moved for the 2003 Bullring development. Better views of Beorma Quarter further south into Digbeth, or from Southside.

Developers have planned for huge towers in Birmingham for years now. The council always block anything above a certain height due to constant unrest by the public / other business....
