Great Video, watching from the UK!, just a tip, I noticed you still use 5w20 in your 5.0. JLR released a bulletin back in 2018 stating to use 0w20 in all 5.0 engines despite what the oil cap states. 0W20 helps reduce wear on the chain/chain tensioners on cold start. I personally use 0w20 in my 5.0 Supercharged Jaguar and my L494 5.0 S/C Sport
@@AutoEdits me too! My Jag is a 2012 with 127,000 miles on it and I don’t know whether the chain has been done as well. I’m assuming it has had them as there’s no slack in the chain through the oil cap and it idles and cold starts smoothly so far… I change the oil on it pretty much once a month just out of pure paranoia 😅🤣
Yes. I know. I'm a couple weeks late getting to this video. I'm Sorry. What with work travel and a vacation. No no!!! I get it! You're hurt. But I promise. I won't miss the next one. Unless I already have. But I swear! I won't miss the Next next one. Great content as always. I try and do all my own oil changes, but dread the process. This has been helpful in A) learning there are other ways to do oil changes, and B) Harbor Freight has tools like this. Thanks!
Always a big fan of your videos Jason! Your attention to detail and care for your vehicles is something that I truly relate to and has been a big inspiration for my videos and ones that I plan to make in the future working on my Jeep. Thank you for making quality content and being a great host!
Just added this combo in my 13RRS. Had to get same filter as I couldn’t find a filter from AMSOIL, Royal purple or any of the likes. I’d be curious for a follow up video as to how you like the oil. Thanks!
I've been using the Pennzoil Ultra for a year now and feel confident with it. I watched a "Project Farm" video comparison and it performs excellent in tests and I keep looking for sales and rebates that knock the cost down to bargain prices. I'm still wanting to lean into the Amsoil world of products.
That's really pretty cool. Not having to deal with the skid plates and such is nice, and it means you don't need a lift or anything. Does the air just run a pneumatic vacuum pump?
The graduations on the sight glass are probably in gallons. That's my guess! P.s. I just purchased a manual fluid extractor for my power equipment and lower height vehicles. Kinda feels like cheating 😁
@@AutoEdits True, and my jeep is not cool enough to have skid plates....yet. Even at my lift height I can move all around under it without jacking it up.
Howdy! Thanks for checking out the video 👍
An oil change video shouldn't be this high quality and well edited. Feels like were hanging out in the garage together. Rock on Jason!
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the info! I'm very nervous about my timing chains 🤣

Howdy and welcome back 👋

Thank you for this nice comment and support!
Yay!!! New Video!!!
Love the RR Sport
Also, you can use that extractor on your JK. Use that super long and thin straw adaptor thru the dip stick tube.
Yay! Thank you!
What a fun video! Can’t wait for more content on your fleet 👍
Thanks dude!
Looking forward to the upcoming square body video(s)!
Me too!
Awesome job 🎉
Thank you! 😁
AutoEdits, cool video bro
Appreciate it

Some sort of magic happens in that area 🤣
I just wish my Taco had a Trans Dipstick.. 😂
I fully agree… these “sealed for life” transmissions make me crazy.

You're right! 🤣
I like it but I’m surprised you didn’t pull the drain plug just to confirm
I did that last time, no need to do it again.
👌
👍
Does harbor freight have a Cartridge filter tool, did you check?
They didn’t have the 90mm this needs of course.
How is the tank setup for recycling the oil and cleanup? What’s the process?
I just easily poured it into that black plastic jug and took it to my local shop to recycle.
@@AutoEdits thats where i would have made the nice clean job into a huge mess, knocking over the jug while trying to pour the oil into it. 🤣🤣
Will that work on the JKU?
Not sure... maybe down the dipstick. Luckily the Jeep skidplates give easy access to the drain plug so it's not that big of a deal.

Do you still have the Tahoe??
I sold it last December.
Wait where’s the Tahoe?
Sold it in last December.
👍
