Discoid Roaches are healthy, nutritional live feeder insects for your beloved pet. AND, they are also LEGAL in Florida. Discoid roaches are for sale on our website (www.critterdepot.com), and here is a video on how to unbox discoid roaches from the mail, and how to create a temporary habitat.
Finally reliable discoids. I live in FL and hate crickets so much hahah
Just a small critique. It's pronounced Kyte-In. Kite > in.
No worries though. I said it Chit-in for a majority of my life.
How many discoids should should I feed my 3 month old bearded dragon a day when i get him?
Hi Julissa, we wrote this guide on "how many dubias to feed a bearded dragon." The amount would be very similar for the discoids. Hope this is helpful!

U missed a roach
Orange's acid gets broken down by the insects digestive track and the acid does not get transferred, only the nutrients.
Straight acid, like from tomatoes and the alike, should not be given to your beardie as the acid was not digested, your pet will digest it.
Discoids nutritional values in general are in fact better than dubias. Good videos.
is there a way for me to special order them to be shipped in a cup with a lid? its really hard for me to transfer then with out my hands swelling up and getting ichy
they seem to ship the smaller ones in the cup with a lid now
I live in Florida where the humanity is often over 80% in the shade. Is that too humid?
Also how big do they get? If I keep them for too long will they get too big for my box turtle to eat?
How do you clean poop out of the habitat?
Do you ship them out like that? I’d hate to order 500 small ones and end up opening a box and them going everywhere. I’m scared of roaches too but I’d rather by those than crickets.
Yes, this is how we ship the discoid roaches. The handle transits better with the extra space.
It’s pronounced like kite n
do you only sell the females
Right now, we only sell the feeders. once we're stocked with adult females, we'll have them listed. I'd expect that to happen in spring 2020.
