Alas what am I? What use has my life?
I am but a body whose heart's torn away,
A vain shadow, an object of misery
Who has nothing left but death-in-life.
O my enemies, set your envy all aside;
I've no more eagerness for high domain;
I've borne too long the burden of my pain
To see your anger swiftly satisfied.
And you, my friends who have loved me so true,
Remember, lacking health and heart and peace,
There is nothing worthwhile that I can do;
Ask only that my misery should cease
And that, being punished in a world like this,
I have my portion in eternal bliss.

The Fact Mary wrote Francis Poems but not Darnley or Bothwell. And wore White (color of mourning) so long after Francis Death that people called her the “white Queen”. And How sad her last Poem is! She sounds like she’s lost all hope! She Was A queen without a Country for so long. Also I Realized Francis died 4 days before her 19th Birthday. But will always be 1 of Great Britain’s Best Queens (in my mind) Mary’s Blood Still Reigns in the Blood of the Windsor’s and will probably until the end of the British Royal Family...Long Live Mary, Queen of Scots! Long May You Reign...
Mary won in the long run and even though she didn’t know that in her lifetime her blood runs through the family that rules the UK
She really was a Queen ahead of her time. ❤️ She had such a big heart, caring deeply for her family and friends. She would sometimes dress up as a man so no one would recognize her and give money to her people. And she loved weddings, so she would pay for dresses and cakes for the ones who couldn’t afford it. Such a great Queen. ❤️

Thank you Mary. Mary Queen of Scott’s will always be my favorite. I thought a lot about her again with the death of Queen Elizabeth the II. Although I realize that Reign was not all together factually correct, I absolutely loved it and watched it many many times. I’m happy that you keep her memory alive.
