- In this video, I unbox the Wen DF452iX Dual Fuel Inverter Generator with remote start and go through the initial setup procedures. I will have more videos coming related to this generator so please check my channel for more. Thank you for watching.
Just bought two of these, I had the old model without remote start. Should be a nice upgrade.
This one has been great so far. We used it for a week of boondocking in Florida in the green swamp and it performed great. It ran the AC and the microwave in our RV without any problem.
Great video. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to reading manuals, so this helped a lot. I think that the magnetic oil plug is a very good idea (which I have). Thanks for your efforts.
Thanks for the feedback and you're welcome.
Hi we just unboxed our df452ix and the battery connection had a quick connection instead of connecting the battery itself. This was different than you showed in your video. Thank you for posting your video.
Nice. Glad the video was useful.
I just picked one of these up, Lowes priced match amazon. Anyways never ever break in any engine with synthetic oil, piston rings take longer to break in and in some cases may not break in causing excessive oil consumption.
Good advice
wen is one of the most reliable companies in the country, if they its 4500, its 4500, nice Generator !!!
I like the idea of flipping the box over and lifting the Box off of the generator thanks I'm 67 years old much easier on the back
Work smarter, not harder. Thanks for watching and the comment.
I went with the Wen df250i which should do just fine for rotating between running a couple window units and modem and running fridge to keep food cold during power outages. If needed I could also use my Sportsman 1000i to run the fridge and freezer.
Very nice!
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
You really helped me ❤
Great video…Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you.
You are welcome.
Thank you for sharing this video. I am planning to buy a generator for my mobile massage bus. You explained very well in this video. I have one question that I want to make sure. In this video there is a gas and electric (battery). Do we have to "ON" both gas and Electric (battery) before using the unit? or either one is enough. I hope you will answer my concern. Thank you ...
Just purchased one about a month ago.
Ours has worked well when camping. We made it through the winter without a power outage but at least I was prepared.
I’m thinking about this model for my elderly mother’s home for backup power because of the remote start. Is there anything I need to know from anyone that owns this model about the remote start that is quirky or doesn’t work as expected? Thanks!
Wondering how this is doing for anyone that has owned one for a while. I am thinking of getting one for our travel trailer as the only generator I currently have it too loud for camping. Any problems with it?
I tell you this! It’s very quiet compared to many other brands.
Works great for us while boondocking. No problems.
WEN Magnetic Oil Dipstick what model number fit this generator?

What brand of engine is used in this generator?
What high quality Spark Plug replacement is recommend for this engine?

Anyone on here know how to reset the 120v 30R RV circuit on this generator. Ran a 120v welder on this at 115 amps and it popped the circuit which doesn’t reset with the front panel buttons. If anyone knows please let me know thanks
mine came with the battery already connected and did not have a quick connect as shown in the manual yet it does not start from the start button or the remote. The battery is reading 13.2V so it doesn't appear to be a dead battery issue. So it seems like the battery is disconnected but there is no disconnect in the battery box. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue and has found a solution before I take the side panels off and go digging.
ok... i'll answer my own question... there is a quick disconnect but its in the compartment behind the battery compartment. If you remove the battery and I guess pull hard enough on the battery leads it will come out and then you can do the quick disconnect per the manual instructions but mine was very stuck and I was afraid to pull any harder on the leads for fear of damaging them. So if yours is stuck, like mine was, removing the left side cover (with the front being the control panel) the battery leads and quick disconnect is accessible and can be connected and then the remote and automatic start work properly.
Glad you figured it out. Thanks for sharing.
Man, that thing is quiet!!!
It definitely is quite.
@@TheManCaveVideo I need one!!
I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this generator.... it around 1400 to 1500 watts... it can't even run my portable whynter air conditioner ...

Your generator has issues then because 120 Volts x 20 Amps = 2,400 Watts.
